No, I got bored standing on pit wall last time. From everything I've seen though, none of the teams are advancing technology, just utilising what's already out. All of the teams have pretty much been "Buy X,Y,Z, test setup, swap Y for G, test setup" rinse repeat until the cars are making the best power. Now, I'm pretty sure that building things this way means you're basically testing what products work best in a given combination. Would you not agree? Then if you really want to, you get an aero guy in to design stuff for your specific "box" to make it stick to the road. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't people being sticking wings and crazy aero on all sorts of vehicles for many many years? When we're talking advancements, we're talking proper R&D, development of different types of engine, new types of gearbox etc. Have any of these teams attempted to make things like AYC, DSG boxes etc. Or are other companies making it in other areas of motor sport/competition?

I think we need to get some manufacturer backed cars to see some proper advancements rather then mostly bolting things together...

It's on the intake plenum where the top radiator hose connects to. There will be two sensors, one with 1 wire attached, one with two wires attached. The one wire is for the dash, two wires is the ECU.

There only issue is lack of straight line grunt in most of them, and most that I've seen are stupid boxes with a tiptronic.

We've got three of those at work Terry... I fly them at least 3 - 4 times a week... They're awesome fun... LOL As to wind turbulence, even the counter rotating ones have ALOT of problems with turbulence. Just the air draft from having air con previously switched on in a room is noticeable (The wind currents from hot to cold etc). It makes for some interesting flying... LOL (And I'd bet footage from the camera!)

Ditch the filter, replace it with a stocking...

Cause this car uses more big end bearings then fuel...

I have a daily and a once a year car. It came out last in January 2010... I hope to bring it out again by December 2011... As for fuel... I don't even know if it'd still ignite TBH...

Are you sure HICAS is stuffing up? Go and get a wheel alignment done. You may find your rear alignment is way out.

I'm with UWISSH... I had custom mufflers built to suit my car (2 of them) plus a high flow cat, and full piping from the turbo back. Cost was $1300, and the TIGHTEST and CLEANEST exhaust you'd ever find, (3" mandrel bent). And the even better thing? Even on the big motor, because we designed the mufflers for it, the car had a very nice note, but was not noisy at all!

I'm going to be a plus one to the not getting finance for a car. Not unless you know you can pay it off in like 6 months. It's just a pure hassle! Secondly, I'd prefer to go for a car on the private market. It really is a buyers market, and there are SOOO MANY bargains to be had. Also, with a dealer, their interest rates can be 6 - 10 % higher then a personal loan from the ones that I've seen. It's better to get a personal loan, and buy a car from the private market that is in good condition. Just gauge what the proper value of the cars are, alot of people are asking WAYYY too much for some cars. In 99% of cases mods do NOT add value to a car, it's all about the overall condition of the vehicle, how it drives, how it looks, is the motor good and sound, etc etc.
