  1. Completely different track. MDTC is a different venue. The MDTC day is being run under our old philosophy of just head out and learn. After December our Wakie days will turn back this way again also and not have the timing so we can run passenger sessions all dayto help with training and fun!
  2. I would have to disagree with one thing that has been said in this thread, and that that is that you should NOT avoid our MDTC day. You sound like you're the under confident guy an as such, will fit in with the rookie group perfectly. You're not going to attempt to throw the car as hard as possible, so you don't have much of a chane at coming off, and if you do it's not going to be at 100mph so you'll be fine. This would be a good day as a starting point, as would our texikhana in September. Both days are cheap, and you will learn HEAPS!!! Plus, SAUNSW is all about introducing members (and non members) into motorsport the correct way, with guidance at safe and fun locations.
  3. You should be fine sound wise mate.
  4. Stop getting off the throttle and they stay on boost...
  5. Bank details are in the first post... Will be good to see you there mate!
  6. Do you wanna go back to mine and have a pizza and f**k? Wait till they look at you in disgust/slap you and reply with: What? You don't like pizza?
  7. I partially agree with them banning P Platers from hihg-po cars. I'd much rather see a P Plater give a VR V6 commodore (Or even a brand new VE Commodore) a boot ful at 100km/h and get to 150KM/H 500 metres down the road, then give something like the setup I used to run in my R33, that you'd boot it at 130KM/H... And end up massively sideways with both rear tyres pouring smoke off them. Remember, while anycar can get upto high speeds, a High Po car gets there quicker, so take a stretch of road like the RNP, the straights are a limited fixed length, such as 400Metres... I know over 400 Metres a commodore is only 160 odd KM/H, my old R33 setup from a standstill bolted to 200KM/H within passing 400metres... Now take that from 90KM/H, I'm pulling 230-240KM/H... Ya old V6 commo has only managed 160-180KM/H... Now try it in an excel, you're only managing 130/140KM/H by the time you reach that corner... Remember, high po cars will corner quicker, so they've got a high starting speed, and more grunt to push the speed up... As well as the ability to snap into wheel spin ALOT easier on a public road. I've felt my R33 unload on the start finish line at Oran Park in 4th gear and it shakes the tail around... Imagine if it did that at 180KM/H but was from going over a bump in the road that you might find in the RNP? But then again, I hate these laws as some people are smart enough to not drive like a spastic/don't have the balls to drive hard. And I also hate it as my resale value has epically failed... Edit: As to P Platers driving restricted vehicles. YOU'RE IDIOTS! Not only are you saying "I'll take the consequences", I do believe in one of the clauses I've seen it means you're technically unlicenced, which can mean completely uninsured... Which means if you hit me, I'm going to sue you for every dollar you earn for your whole life... Or what if you really don't have the talent to control that power and kill someone?
  8. You know a bunch of SAU:NSW Skyline's (And other cars) buzzing round will be just awesome and beat any other day, right?...
  9. We've had many HWP and General Duties browse past our meet up or finish points, they have a look as they cruise past, and that's the last we hear of them. SAU:NSW is known by HWP and General Duties in most areas as a very mature club. They know the Exec won't take any stupidity from people on the cruises, and if there is stupidity, they are reported to the police.

    Cruisen

I reckon this would be a good cruise to be on... Or if you really are bored and wanna get above the speed limit... I promise you the coppers won't bother you here Or another awesome cruise would be... Obviously the first and last cruise we don't want anyone driving stupidly... But the second one, have a bit of fun...
  11. Nothing to do with the cost, I actually want to keep it and get it on the road. Plans are completely non car related actually. It's either keep it, and it goes in storage for a year or two, or pass it on and let someone finish it with the hard yards done.
  12. So this is a bit of a sore point for me, but I'm looking at putting this up for sale after Brad finishes his bit of the work. That would be all wired, mounted, tail shaft in and rack modified. So still a fair bit to do to get it running. If anyone is interested in it, give me a yell and we can talk more. It is only EOI that I'm looking at. If you make the right offer... It's yours. I've got some new plans coming up, so, kind of looking at passing this on, OR, it goes to the back of the yard at my parents place for a year or so.
  13. That's what the deposit is for to find out. So far if everyone has said they've paid has, that's around 5 so far. MattyFlynn, I'll be cruising there from MDTC, and there'll probably be a few other members that do too... There's a whole weekend built around this, you should enter the track day at MDTC ($115 for you), then come to dinner, then the cruise the next day, and return home by around 4 or 5PM.
  14. Fatz, are you saying you now own two R32 GTRs that you can't rev over 6K?
  15. Guess what?!?!?! Following our dinner, the next day we're cruising! At the end of this cruise, obviously ACT people head one way, and the NSW guys head to their homes too.
  16. Yeah, it's purely so we can 100% confirm numbers. No depo, no dinrar booking. You will get it back on the night.
  17. Sounds like a fair plan... Hey Pat?

  22. Sounds like you've left the throttle position sensor unplugged.
  23. I they do right it off, remember you get the full value of the car, not the damage. There has been some changes to being able to re-register stat write offs. But yes, you would need to restate your insurance.
  24. No the car doesn't need registration.
  25. Skids in Chubbs' driveway?
