When it was super low, you would have had bump steer. That is, hit a bump and the rear wheels will actually change alignment so much it "kicks". Now that it's raised, your rear toe and camber will be so far out, it's not properly gripping in the back, and it's just moving around.

Boost is only a measure of restriction... And 500KW at 5,000RPM and 1000KW at 10,000 is the same amount of go fasts... ... ... Torque people... It's all about torque...

What the hell do you have on the car that is coming on at over 4K? I think you need to take the car to a magician and have them tune it... I thought you had like a 3082 or something?

Mostly yes. Wakie isn't as strict. Most of the cars that are at our track days are not over the noise limit.

Everyone should be aware, that basically the only track in NSW that doesn't have a noise restriction on it, is Eastern Creek. Even Wakefield has a noise limit quite similar to Marulan. Marulan is just making it more aware as the locals have lodged noise complaints in the past.

This day is going to be run by Skylines Australia, so we are the only ones entering, but we are allowing any person to enter our day with us. There are only 30 spots available. This day will only have 30 vehicles entered, 6 cars on the track at a time, and that means you should be on the track twice every 60 mins in theory. The test is done on cars they suspect to be too loud. If you are too loud, you can do what ever it takes to make it quieter, or not run. If you think you're going to be too loud, have the test performed before hand at an exhaust place. As in it won't download for you, or once you fill it in it won't save? The pricing does NOT include a licence. The pricing is dependent on whether you are a financial member of Skylines Australia NSW.

I think you'll find you're using the wrong value aren't you? Aren't you meant to be using the bottom one? 5.46 and 4.68 for N/A and Turbo respectively? Isn't mono constructed like those one off builds/kit cars?

We use rivets on our company trucks...

You can get them passed by CAMS for a cage built by anyone, but in doing so, you do need to have all of the correct material purchased etc. It's not just any old tube that will do. They also need to be built to the correct design.

Oh hmm... I should look into that factor... I was shown the other day some nice 8 pots that a member uses on here for racing with... able to purchase the full kit for $1,500 brand new... I'm keeping my eyes on it, and might buy it very shortly...

Yeah, we've got epic foulage... LOL... What did you do to avoid the foulage? We're looking at moving the steering rack towards the drivers side more, and then modifying it so the bump steer isn't affected. Would be interested to hear how you cleared it... Just went through your whole picture album too... It's interesting, it appears as though the R31 engine bay is wider between the chassis, you don't seem to have much of an exhaust manifold issue. Or did you get some custom made? Have you measured between the tops of the strut tower before for width, and between the chassis rails? Be interested to know if the R31 really is wider...

And fuel.

They fit in R33s too... Just... LOL I'll stop hi-jacking your thread now... ROFL I'm thinking I'm going to flog the aftermarket rocker covers off, and get standard ones and the stock engine covers like you've got. It looks much neater.
