ive seen this happen before it turned out the horn wires had come off and earthed out. could be the same

finny mate, you sure got a 480 cause no way it would spool up that early and also if its a oil only turbo then what are the other two fitting in the turbo core for????. you might have a bitsa turbo cause every 480 ive seen has oil and water fittings Also you will be very lucky to get your 300kws with a kkr480 they arent bigger enough for it.

if its a 33 the headlight fuses are in the boot, in a fuse panel next to battery.

id say either you have popped a fuse, the plug on the motor has some shit in it or it dead. pull out the glovebox and you will find the plug going in the motor pull it off check for corrosion etc. failing that just kick or punch it sometimes that works haha

i used to use BCPR6ES-11 plugs in my 25, but i switched over to BKR7E plugs and the car runs 100% better from idle to 21psi.

weird usually on the block there is a flat square bit saying RB... then in a rectangle section the number. Been that way on the countless motors ive looked doing RWC etc

what you could do is take it to a welder and get them to put some more metal to make it bigger distance between the two then get it refaced for sealing. wouldnt cost much at all and you still would be cheaper then a over priced Greedy plenum from a store.

yep, simple filter with hose and clamp connection. same as some commodores use. Ryco part number z200 most car stores should stock them

for the record RB30 balancers and keyways will work on rb25 cranks. as mentioned the aircon pulley is different though . thanks.

water trap is all i can think of

could be either one of ur mufflers have collapsed. or your cat. hit them to see if it rattles that or check for loose bolts or washers

aircon is not a issue in this case. i wouldnt of thought the oil pump as any thing to do with the balancer as the two are not connected mechanically. the car parts stores in bundaberg are useless, they just looked at me blankly when i asked for a set of lifters for a RB25, so not even going to bother about the balancer. just wanna know if it will be right to use temporarly so i can see if its the noise i have and until i can track down a proper one.

well i dont have aircon. just the usual power steering and alternator. does this mean it will be right to use?

I need a answer from the smart ones on the site. Are rb30 balancers the same as rb25 balancers, as i have spun the harmonic balancer on the rb25 in my 32. need answer if you are absolutely sure thanks
