  1. Buy it!!! npc clutches are awesome. I've fitted and used all different types of them and work awesome. END THREAD
  2. Blown cooler pipe or afm failure
  3. Cool id say depending on project plan it out and spend once, otherwise just throwing money away. From what ive seen and heard the ethanol content is pretty consistent on a analyzer. We are keen to get some results but it all just takes time unfortunetly
  4. yeh but wont have to change the whole thing just the top half to suit
  5. united servo on walker st if you know the area.
  6. Decided ill go 4 inch dump just incase down track I get serious and go. Large frame turbo
  7. I mean in theory if a parts fails on boost can minimize the damage by hearing it go rather then all screamer noise
  8. Is that no fit in a r32 with a 25 in it stao? What fouled?. I want to run plumbed in no matter what so can't include screamer. I prefer to hear the engine while its making noises not finding out after when its brokent
  9. Cost me 175 in bundaberg supplying both shafts. Cut yoke, weld onto new shaft at required length and rebalance both halfs together
  10. .82 rear housing. Ported head with tomei poncams in it. Ive got a feeling your right
  11. i have changed the way the gate signal is being sent and it helped sort of. its either 16psi base and wont bleed past 21psi as a single connection onto wastegate or as a 2 port connection its 23psi minimum bleeding up to the 26psi wanted. I would like to run 18psi low and 26psi high settings so changing the spring pressure up closer to higher settings is something im trying to avoid
  12. i have 14psi actuator springs in. its a turbosmart 50mm gate. I cant stand the sound of a screamer pipe so plumbback is a MUST.. the gate pipe is about 60cm long joining in just before the cat area so i think having a bigger diameter exhaust in a copy of current setup will do the trick. I just dont want to go to hassle of doing 3.5inch only to need a 4 inch down the track
  13. Tried searching but must be hopeless at using it. Also the 25 thread is full of small turbo results. Have a 25 with a 3582r plain wheel turbo. I have a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust with a resonator and rear cannon on it but I'm struggling with small amount of exhaust backpressure pushing open gate under full noise. I am thinking the dump pipe might be a tad small With the wastegate plumbed back in. I'm aiming for 500+ (currently at 471hp). looking at what people's opinions/experirence are on What size exhaust they have. I have enough room for 4 inch but don't want to go oversized if not necessary. Go with posts.
  14. New splitfires arrived and are installed. Quickly threw it on dyno just do get a lot of heat soak in it and load it completely in 4th. No missfire. Once workshop has a spare couple hours it will get put back on for attempt number 372865 at successful tune.
  15. You need to get a more accurate measurement device and check thickness cause the thicker it is the less compression you have
  16. I've reused mls gaskets aswell. Just a coat of hylomar and good to go. Last one I did is making just under 600hp at all 4 no issues
  17. Im currently in the process of finding out the exact information you need. i have built two identical engines the internal differences being one head is ported more...... Ported head, modified chinese manifold, custom plenum GT3582r with drilled front cover.........18psi-----441hp and on 23psi -----471hp. Massaged head, 6 boost, greedy intake GTX3582 with port shroud.......18psi....427hp...awaiting new coilpacks for more boost off boost they arevery similar, the GTX being a little bit laggier coming onto the power then the GT. Strangly enough the GT3582 with a ported front cover is noiser across the whole rev range. Can pretty much barely hear the GTX but once more boost is run that might change.
  18. well we just got a e85 bowser installed in town just yesterday so its a option, going to run pump fuel for a while and then down the track switch over to e85
  19. Just getting another set of splitfires. Owner thought about copying setup that's on my own car, 6 Bosch coils and aftermarket ignitor pack but plebt people making power no issue with splitfires. Expecting power to jump up quickly from now. The turbo should be coming alive with a bit more boost
  20. Gotta love modifying cars. After taking car back in with new plugs and the thought missfire had been cured, ran it up seemed good to go did a few runs running spot on. Started to get some heat soak into Everything and it starts breaking down again....... Looks like the set of splitfires have seen their day. ( they were on car when it was purchased do unsure of age). Currently on 18psi its making 317kws which is getting there. Once coils are fixed ( very soon) it will be good to crank some boost into it
  21. Pulling up at end of strip at beneraby is half the excitement of the run I say. Looks like they have really stepped up the game since I last been there
  22. Early tuning so far has cracked the 300kw barrier. Has a small misfire up top of revs, threw a new set of plugs in it to see if it helps ran out of time in day. Its still making power at 7400 revs so its promising so far
  23. No results yet. Tuner took weekend off for family time, he doesn't take many weekends off so can't blame him. Will post results as soon as we know them
  24. Car is on the dyno currently as i write this post being tuned. Fingers crossed for good results
