R34 Rampage

Sorry to bring up an old thread but if I were to install a high flow cat to my otherwise stock NA exhaust, how much power gain would I get? (everything else stock as a rock) And would the exhaust sound louder and deeper? And lastly how much $ for a decent hiflow cat?

Hi I have an annoying problem which I don't know if any other R34 auto skyline drivers have. My automatic transmission shift button emits a very noticible tight rattling or buzzing noise every so often especially when I'm accelerating lightly. Does anyone else have this problem and know how to get rid of it?

Don't even try with only a 2.0 NA, a stock 4.0L BA Falcon sedan will destroy you by a country mile. Commodores are a fair bit slower but even then you'll struggle against a base model VE. Sorry to say it but RB20DEs just aren't built for speed.

wow thanks for the fast replies! I'm living in the north shore area of Sydney... yikes over 100 bux per wheel! my wheels aren't warped or badly damaged just scraped from touching the gutter. Any idea where to get this fixed cheaply?

Just wondering, is there any place or way to repair alloy wheels that have light gutter scrapes on them? I would love to get rid of some unsightly marks on my otherwise atttractive wheels

thanks for the fast repies! The guy from the NRMA had a ute full of batteries but none would fit without modifying the car because apparently the R34 uses a pretty big batt but with the narrow terminals or posts from a smaller battery?

Heya my battery is on the way out and i'm wondering where to get a new one? The NRMA didn't have one the right size and told me to go back to nissan to find one. Anyone know where to get a trusty new one in Sydney preferrebly around the north shore area at a good price? thanks

The skyline has a much better body than the ford but the ford has a much better engine than the skyline. In a perfect world, the skyline would have the 4.0l Typhoon engine pumping out 550nm at 2000rpm stock. With a just few grand of light mods you would have more than enough grunt to make a R34 Nismo Z-tune cry!

Maxima would actually be a decent prestige car for the money if only they fixed up the sloppy suspension tuning and put a quality high end stereo system in it. As it is, it's only a half-baked product.

Why not, 3.0TT > 2.6TT = stronger engine block + less lag and more torque

Boxster 2.7 isn't bad, I would rather S2000 than the 2.5L Boxster tho
