  1. Depends on your needs. Obviously manual gives better performance when thrashing the car, but some people seriously DO need an auto if they drive to and from work in gridlock everyday. Drive both then decide, I personally reckon the R34 tiptronic is a pretty decent system, shifts faster than most other tiptronics out there....but any auto skylines without tiptronic ie <R34s, I wouldn't bother with.
  2. Why the downturn in market? Petrol prices are cheap, is it because of the turbo ban for P platers?
  3. There shouldn't be anymore issues with turbo emissons than a big NA, plenty of other brands Subaru WRX/Liberty GT, Ford XR6, Mitsu Evo and BMW coupe etc are newly released performance turbos......
  4. thx i know this is true with the R33s, but i was more interested to know if there are any differences in the badge between 32/33/34/S15 or the GTR and GT-Ts sizewise, design etc
  5. Hi all, today some little bastard vandal ripped the nissan GT badge off my car and now I'm having to shop for a replacement. Does anyone if they are all the same? I looked at a JDM website and they have ones for R33 GTST and R33 GTR. What's the difference? I thought all skylines and S15 silvias had the same badge?
  6. Where can I get a custom copy of the HKS super dragger? I wouldn't mind getting one of them with 2.5 inch piping for my skyline as long as it won't get me in trouble with the cops or EPA!
  7. NA JDM S15s used to be available in Australia before RAWS came out, don't think there are being brought out any more. I don't see the point to them, may as well get a faster DC2 Integra Type R if you want a good handling NA coupe with high rev performance. I had a Prelude VTiR before and it was very chuckable around corners and had a strong top end.
  8. Does anyone have a link for one of these shift kits? How does it work, a more aggressive/high revving gear shift programing with transmission cooler? I wouldn't want a high stall on my auto since that would make fuel consumption go down the drain hole!
  9. After walking around the car, I find a mysterious small 'pinprick' dent on the bonnet from some unknown impact. Are there any places you can go to get them removed around the North Shore in Sydney and how much $? I heard that dents can be pulled out by a special magnet machine, is this true?
  10. What do you guys think of Nankang NS-2 tyres? I heard they are a cheaper version of some Yokohama performance tyre, so they should be pretty decent right? Anyone else got them?
  11. I prefer this superb bayside blue 2000 GTR V spec on carsales, gotta love those 'shark gill' vents on the side! (btw how come only some GTRs have them?) Bayside blue the best colour for a R34 GTR
  12. You also get the HICAS and LSD from the GT-T in addition to the 4 pot brakes, 17 inch rims etc
  13. Looks uber cool esp the interior but no thanks with that engine, I'd much rather a hot hatch with beef such as a Mazda 3 MPS or Ford Focus XR5 for the same money, rather than an admittedly sexy looking but torqueless, peaky 4 cylinder NA engined buzzbox. If Honda wanted to keep their perfomance hatch NA they should go the 6 cylinder muscle route like the new Golf R32 or BMW 130i, a 2.0 4 cylinder VTEC means no fun unless you keep it planted in first and 2nd gear at all speeds under 160km/hr lest you fall off the 'VTEC cam boost'!
  14. Just wondering, stock vs stock which is faster? Anyone got the stats? Bigger RB25 NEO Na Vs smaller non vvt RB20 turbo
  15. Hi I just got a new bayside blue R34 but it has a few scratches on the bumper, can I get touch up paint from a Nissan dealership, or do they only do Aust models? I believe the paint code is TV2? All help appreciated
