the reason i am asking is my uncle bough a VS commodore for 3000 dollars and got agreed value of 7000 dollars, this was back i think 2001, so wtf does purchase price have to do with anything, if i want to REPLACE the car i cant now because the car is worth MORE than 7500....

its 2 light bluey green buttons on a black mini pad, i got no camera to show you a pic, button 1 arms/disarms alarm and the immobiliser, i also have a seperate mini key for the immobiliser and button 2 helps me find my car if i lose it in the carpark LOL. also the LED stays on for about 30 seconds then starts flashing.

problem is the seller put the car down for 7500 and i already transfered it to my name.

im not trying to rip them off but i got the car for a good price coz i know the person and the cars worth 12000, just car WILL insure if for 12000 but thier telling me no we have to insure it for what you bought it for. i was like but if god forbid i hav an accident, and you pay me 7500 i cant get another one, coz thier worth so much more.

my immobiliser has a flashing led, remote and key. does it meet the standard ? lol.

yep thats what im going to do suck it in and pay the damn insurance haha, i love this skyline too much.

just got the car today and was wondering with insurance what would help me get the lowest premium. should i register the car in my mothers name? (im 18). the car has an alarm and immobiliser and is parked in a remote control lockup garage. also which insurers should i have a look at? what should i look for such as no claim bonuses? thanks in advance for any help guys. love the forums.

thanks guys, thanks eug, what do you think, a 1993 R33 skyline, non turbo, 120 000 km on the clock, mechanic says fuel smell, and like u suggested, he also said could be o2 sensor, fuel lines or injectors. $7500 reasonable? no body damage besides some scratches.

bump sorry lol really need to know urgently, otherwise ill have to cancel buying 2morow morning until i find out 100% lol im sooo worried now that this could lead to serious problems.

yeh he said something about the O2 sensor, is that expensive to replace? found out on this site its about 175, not too bad, but im worried, whats the worst case scenario when you can smell fuel? and how much would it cost to fix it? yeh NA liners are getting eaten kwik, thats why im like f*k it if its not a big problem ill buy it.

im buying an RB25DE powered skyline i took it to the mechanic he said he could smell fuel but he cant pin point where the fumes are coming from. he said the injectors could be leaking? or seals might need replacing? what can be the problem? maybe he is saying that expecting me to buy the car and bring it to him for fixing? what are your opinions and what could be wrong? please reply asap buying car 2morow morning?
