  1. f**k it put me on the list Ash, street pads for me cause I'm a girl and don't race my car LOL Also let me know about the colour, if anodised red is a no go just get me what ever they come standard with.
  2. As soon as Duncan tells me he's 110% sure they don't stick out more than stock I'll PM you. Can you find out if they can do anodised red?
  3. If you're 110% sure on that Duncan, I'm in on the group buy. Ive got 18" BBS LMs and they clear my stock calipers by about 5mm
  4. Any idea how much more wheel clearance is needed in comparison to stock 32 GTR callipers? ie: how much further out they sit.
  5. I don't know why people are trying to defend them, there are too many failures, it is not acceptable.
  6. Old ones were fine, most recent batch seem to work when they feel like it and lose random amounts of flow at random times. Don't know what causes it, haven't really looked too far into it yet. We only buy matched sets with flow reports. All the failures were with brand new units.
  7. We have had some issues with the bosch EV14s lately and I know a big name shop who also has a box of dead ones they've pulled from a number of cars. They've cost me an engine and almost lost a race engine for the other shop.
  8. Ill have one next week mate, PM me if you still need it.
  9. Got heaps of em mate, PM me.
  10. how do you manage to mix water and fuel?
  11. Do it once and do it right, pull the thing down and see what failed. Next step is crucial DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. I can not stress how important this is, I see so many engines being built then die shortly after from the same thing due to no one fixing the original problem that caused the first failure. Then get someone who knows RB engine to fix the problem and build you a strong engine. Then happy days.
  12. Just remove and bypass it.
  13. Hey guys got one of my tool boxes for sale. It's no longer needed and taking up space so its gotta go. Ball bearing slides and all the usual stuff. 2 meters long with timber bench top. 900ono
  14. Top starter motor bolt is f**king awesome LOL I have a special spanner for that one hahhaa.
  15. I wouldn't pay $20 for a Mazworx plenum. Had one on an engine recently and the fuel rail hit the VCT solenoid, T/B was too far forwards and made cooler piping a pain in the ass. And when we asked them WTF was going on, their answer was "sorry we dunno." So they can forget any return business from us.
  16. Looks fantastic Terry.
  17. Got one mate PM me what you think its worth.
  18. What exactly is your point? Because it doesn't include some cheap shit chinese "H beam rods" it means its too dear? I'd would rather stock rods and some chinese no name rubbish. Rods aren't free no matter wether they are stock or aftermarket they all need to be checked and possibly re-sized or final finished. They still need to get ARP bolts fitted and then resized and then small end clearance checked, which all costs money. Then the block needs to get bored and honed, piston to bore clearance set, ring gaps hand filed. Crank needs to be measured linished or possibly ground under size, polished, plugs drilled and grub screwed so it can be cleaned properly. Oil pump stripped cleaned clearance checked and re-assembled. Block cleaned and new core plugs fitted. New main and rod bearings, new main bolts, seals. Then final clearance measurement and assembly. Where do you see any way to do that job for under $4200? IMO that's a pretty cheap price to begin with.
  19. What do you think its worth to build an engine? $10?
  20. Its not as easy as you think to build an engine and do a"cost analysis" and stick to it. What happens when you take your head to the machine shop and it needs new valve guides and seats or its cracked? If you're looking for ways to save money here and there, forget building an engine FULL STOP. Do it once and do it right or don't do it at all. But like NYTSKY said take your budget and double it then you may be close to the final figure. Another thing I think you missed in your costs is assembly and all the double and triple checking clearances. This costs money too. This is assuming you're not assembling it. But if you are assembling it you can just go and slap it together but don't be surprised if it fails shortly after its finished. Don't trust any thing anyone tells you, check every clearance 10 times yourself to be sure and if its not right take it back and get it fixed. Lastly $500 in machining? Double that and more including a head service.
  21. Car looks great Marko. iwanta34gtr - pics came out very nice well done mate.
  22. We get really nice ones from Paul at Red R Racing. I have a couple at the shop at the moment, if you're in Sydney you're more than welcome to come and have a look.
