what do you recommend i do ?

hey guys i have a question , i have a transportable dvd player for my car , when i used it before i had it just connected to the cig lighter , easy to run . but now i wanna have it wired well so theres no use of ligther , now if i run the pos to the battery , and the neg to the body of the car with another switch , will that be safe to do , even though there is no fuse? i mean it should be the same right as if i were using the cigarette lighter?accept its done to the battery? info would be much appreciated thanks

yeah i searched harder http://r33stereo.groovesystems.net/ only problem i think my front right speaker is blown , i didnt pay attention to it when the stock sterio was in , hence iv only had the car 2 days , but yeah the wires are all correct . im replacing all the speakers tomorrow night , and hopefully they will all work , then ill add my sub n amp . do you recon its better to run 4 speakers off the head deck and just sub off the amp .? before in my old car i had 2 back speakers on the amp+ the sub . speakers would take to much bass this way im thinking run everything off the head deck , and the sub off the amp only . my new head deck can tune the sub aside from a standard setting ie: high bass , which would make the sub more bassier and have bass in speakers , which sounds shit . so hopefully this way i will just have bass out of the sub. also any one know how to remove beeping sound when you have keys in ignition to run sterio? fair enough for lights etc.... but if i were to disconnect igtion cable would it just run when ever i like?

iv done a few in my days , no troubles , but my sky has the original jap cassette player in it still , how do i go about getting it out and accessing the cables etc , to fix my new one in , any diagrams or diy online , cant find much , and one have any insight how to just get access to taking it out , or where do i start unscrewing things.

iv recently bought a skyline , and iv been hearing stories about theft . i was told thieves drive there car into the back of you , and pull out a gun , and take your car? but iv only been told a few cases involving wrx's . has any body heard anything about it - im a bit worried now i have an import . mind you in nsw - sydney , a bit far fetched , but yeah im sort of worried about that.

hey guys , got a few questions about buying one . if i buy a pod and install it etc , do i need to reset the cars ecu ? so it accepts new settings? also will a heat shield will benefit me ? also any one have a posible way of hiding the pod? like making a steel box around it also preventing hot air from entering it from engine? yet hiding the pod from cops , because arent they illegal? any one tried this , or could some one post there setup if so , cheers

hahahaha , thanks for all the tips though guys , i think ill actually leave the bov for now . but yeah i was already goin to buy a pod filter and install that , and heatshield it too , . i had installed one in my old car . got a question though , can i just buy the pod and attatch it to the stock air box piping? , without new piping or extension? .... how many kws am i lookin at gaining with the skyline , by adding a pod?... is there more responce with turbod cars ?... whats a good brand , i had a k and n before , want something different this time , oe of the smaller round half sphere ones ... , something smaller to hide just in case i get pulled over n checked up ,

my cars manual dude, but yeah i understand what it does , i just didnt know you needed to be running higher than stock boost to have a louder one

lol for one thing i didnt buy this car for the bov , but i wouldnt mind one . ToF : are you saying its unsafe to buy another bov and replace the stock if the car is running stock boost? ,.. stupid question - bovs dont emit any power do they ?

hey everyone , im new to the site , iv just purchased a new skyline r33 96 series 2 . i have some questions since i dont know much about turbod cars . 1/ is it a must to use premium unleaded? 2/ how much am i looking at a BOV + install? a decent one , roughly how long would it take to install? 3/ are there any on the market with several sounds in one? , im sure iv read about one ,.. anyway thanks , cheers
