Here follows my comment about too much info...
  2. Sorry John, it's a S1. Going black meant it doesn't need to be blended down the sides. Which will mean it's cheaper. But blending will also take care of the keying from last week, and take care of some chips on the bumper.
  3. The decals are coming off... ...And all was good until we got to the bonnet... ...When we were taking them off the bonnet the paint underneath kinda looked like it had gone mouldy... ...So it needs to be striped back and resprayed... So I'm wondering if I should keep it silver or maybe try a black bonnet... What do people think???... ...Let me know in the poll...
  4. Thanks for all your hard work Hamish... Congrats to John and welcome back Ash...
  5. Woot... ...I just started putting a slab down now... ...decals are screwed anyway... ...they're coming off this weekend for nats so I'm not too worried... ...hoping Mitch can buff the scratch out of it... ...otherwise I'm going to get the whole thing resprayed over new years...
  6. Oh well... ...I've got some black and white spray paint... ...Now I just need to head down to seven 11 to get some surpee cup lids and I'll make some "security cameras" for around the house...
  7. Building my own house in Dandenong... ...Don't know if that will be any better...
  8. Do you live in a block of red brick flats somewhere between heatherton rd and Sandown Park train station???... ...Kinda near a place my GF calls "Stinky House"...
  9. Last night around 3am my neighbours boat was broken into. He interrupted the maggot, but the damage was done. This morning I found that both mum and dads cars had been broken into, and my car has been keyed. So not happy.
  10. I was just thinking about this place the other day... ...I again need to replace the drivers side window controls...
  11. I get pulled over all the time around Springvale and Dandenong... ...but hey... ...Purple stripes and stars may as well be a bullseye... ...I even got pulled over twice in less than ten minutes in Noble Park... ...Once when I pulled into a parking spot and again as I was trying to pull out of that spot...
  12. Oh. We did have some cops show up, but they were drug cops in an unmarked wagon. They were cool. But also massive. Once we told them why we were there they were more interested in looking at the cars from a enthusiast side.
  13. It got to 7pm and we all buggered off. I counted 4 skylines that just drove past. One lives near me and went into McDs, but didn't come over. Think I might have to walk past his place and drop in a spotter card and see if I can get him to join the club.
  14. A couple of hours before using the OC. CIRT looking at getting in a few hours overtime...
  15. Not really the place to ask. We do have a number of cops who are club members. Try a commedydor forum...
  16. Drat!!!... I've had a job pushed back by an hour so I now finish work at 6pm. It's only about ten minutes away so I'll try and get away quickly. Also a side note. If you've got any extras in your car it would be good if you could go through for each person. So if you and your passenger are getting a meal each, make two drive thrus. It's not $1.oo for each meal. It's $1.oo for each order. You really don't have to if you don't want to. It's just a thought.
  17. Those have been suggested... ...And I'd like one too...
  18. I guess it would kinda punish a good driver if their only mistake was to lend their car to a bad driver, such as the guy in question... ...But it would guarantee that no one that knows him would lend him their car if he got someone else's impounded for a month or two...
  19. I'm coming... ...Time off work is all sorted...
  20. I think I'll have to get a beanie and a polo... ...will sort it out over the weekend...
  21. Would he still fit the criteria if it was someone else's car?
  22. As many of you know, my dad spent over 40 years as a member of the Victorian Police Force. In that forty years there were a few times when he could have become one of the 157 Victoria Police Officers who have lost their lives doing their job. Now I know that there are a few in the Skyline community that feel like they're picked on for driving an import, but Blue Ribbon Day is a day that we should put those feelings off to the side and support Victoria Police. So saying that. I'm thinking that we should have a cruise to take advantage of "Macca's Drive Thru For Blue" on Friday 16th of September. This is from their web site. - - McDonald's is supporting Blue Ribbon Day with the Macca's Drive Thru For Blue. Visit any McDonald's Drive Thru on Friday 16th September between 6pm & 7pm and McDoanld's will donate $1 from every Drive Thru order to the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation. Your visit during these times can help us to build new and improved emergency facilities in our public hospitals named in memory of police officers who have fallen in the line of duty. The Blue Ribbon Foundation and McDonald's - Remembering Lives by Saving Others. - - So, Laith's SuperDuper Mini Cruise is as follows... 5:45pm - Meet at Burden Park car park. Heatherton Road, Springvale South. Near the corner of Heatherton Road and Springvale Road. (see attached map) 5:45pm to 6:00pm - Chat and general catchup. 6:00pm - Leave Burden Park car park and turn Left onto Heatherton Road. (again see attached map) Cruise for 30 seconds 6:00:30pm - Turn right from Heatherton Road into Springvale McDonalds carpark. Corner of Springvale Road and Heatherton Road. (see attached map) Make your way through the drive through and order anything you like. Each time you go through McDonalds donates $1.oo. 6:05pm - Make your way back to the meet point. (see attached map) The SuperDuper thing about this cruise is you can do it as many times as you like in the one night. Things to bring:- 1/4 tank of fuel. Hope to see you all there. If you want to know more about Police Blue Ribbon click here.
  23. Good. I know it could happen, but I've never head of people having someone else's car impounded for 30 days. It would only take one or two people getting their friends car impounded for the duration of a disqualification and then no one would lend that person a car.
  24. This is the kind of thing I like to hear. But 6th drink driving and disqualified? 30 days isn't enough. He should lose the car for as long as his disqualification. Two things I'd like to know. Was it HIS car, and what type of car?
