At the moment I think I'll be placing my order sunday afternoon... ...So try and let me know sometime tomorrow... ...The Aus$ is still above 0.95US$... ...but I'm not sure if it's going to get any better... The way I've done this in the past for family and friends is: Total Order on CC in Aus$ + Banks Int. Currency Fee = 100% in Aus$ Total Order US$ = 100% in US$ Item Cost US$ + Shipping* = IC% of 100% in US$ 100% in Aus$ devided by IC% = Item Cost in Aus$ (*Shipping is devided amoung all items. eg. shipping $15.oo / 6 items = $2.50 added to each item.) People have always generally been happy with my math on this... ...and its the way I used to work things out when working in retail... ...but I had to add and subtract tax back then too... ...If you have another way of working it out I'd be happy to have a look...

The "MotorSport" pack is 300.ooUS... ...which works out to about 310.ooAU at the moment...

Because the dollar is kicking the green backs ass I'm thinking of getting a second GoPro camera and a heap of mounts... Anyone else want to help cut down on shipping and go in on an order???...

Spotted a series 2 R33 on Princess Hwy around 6:45pm tonight... ...had "Skyline" across the back window and a really huge hit in the bum... ...only saw it from the drivers side... ...but there is a huge ripple over the rear wheels...

It was mentioned in the other thread that people were having trouble with posting new topics and sending PMs from their iPhone... ...I've never had any trouble using my iPhone and the forum... ...but I've never tried to post a new topic on the forum from my iPhone... ...so I was just giving it a go to see if I would have any trouble myself... ...and everything seems to be working fine... A new section for any type of testing could be useful for those that are programmers writing apps or other software for forum use that won't mess around with the day to day use of the forum... ...I use a desktop app for the macworld Australia forum and have another on my phone... ...both don't work with Skylines... ...but I can view the forum on the desktop app... ...I'm yet two work out the posting and replying side of things... ...which might need backend access to finally work... ...but it was more of a hobby just to see if I could do it... But as I said... ...feel free to delete this whenever you like... ...what I was trying ended up working as it should...

Just trying a new post from my iPhone... Mods can remove this when they like... Can't try all the "New Topic" options myself... Maybe the mods could start another sub group under "Feedback & Bugs" so everyone can do some iPhone testing...

I don't think I've ever had problems with PMs... ...maybe I'll try and PM someone from this thread to see if the updated iOS has made changes...

Hi fellow Forum members, I'm wanting to take the next step with my video camera, but don't know where to start. Currently I'm the go to guy in the extended family for weddings, 40ths, 50ths, etc. And in my own time I'm doing track days and car shows. I reclenty went HD while in Japan and picked up a Sony HDR-CX550 and I'm loving the results I'm getting. But I'm not sure of the next step. The things on my list are; 1. Mics 2. Lights 3. Lenses & filters I think I've got filters covered. Sony has a few antiglare filters that will be handy coming into summer. But I'd like to get a "fisheye" lens. But nothing too extreme like in skaiting vids. For lights and mics, I've been thinking of something camera mounted and powered. I've been told I can get something that combines a boom mic, 2 XLR plugs, and another shoe for a light that will fit my camera, but Sony don't make anything like that, or it isn't for sale in Australia, (yet). I've been using the forum on my iPhone since it came out and the same with the iPad... ...I'm doing it right now even... ...there is no need make any changes for the iPad, unless it comes to the resizing of the reply windows... ...if you type more than what the space has it becomes hard to read back what you've typed... ...on the iPhone it is even harder... ...but the new iPhone 4 is so much better for reading on...

Marribyrnong council have been on ACA and Today Tonight in relation to these cameras... ...and they always ask if they are just for raising money... ...Which it seems to me like they are... Here's the Vic Roads site for loading zones and what Marribuyrnong council say their laws on the loading zones are... ...Sadly it looks to me like the fine will stick under the Vic Roads laws... ...But I'd still try and fight it if I was you... They also say on their site here that the cameras will get you while you wait for someone to come out of a parking space... ...Which I feel is total crap...

How about installing an RFID chip in your hand... ...then you wouldn't need a key at all... Just a wave of your hand over the door handle to unlock and another over the dash to start...
