I went up to the Chaddy one today... ...It isn't it... ...Chaddy doesn't have the Safeway Trolly sign or the yellow on the posts... ...But it sure does look like the Chaddy one...

The handbreak is total bull shit!!!... ...There are plenty of cars out there that are setup with way more than 7 clicks... ...If I really really try... ...I could get more than 10 clicks out of it... ...it engages after two clicks and the rest is all tension in the cable... ...And anyway... ...You're meant to push the button in when you put the handbreak on and then release the button once it goes tight... ...If you're using your handbreak correctly you'll never hear the clicks... My dad's car has an old slide hand break and it would have about 15 clicks on it... ...Good luck giving him a ticket for that... A small crack in the indicator is crap too... ...Unless "white" light can come out... ...There are so many crappy cars driving around with sun faded tail lights and indicators that don't get defects it does my head in... Your GTS-t will have a BOV... ...but most likely the stock one... ...Which doesn't vent to air... He has got you with the airbox as you said... ...But I wouldn't stand for the other things... ...I keep my car stock because I use it for work and I've been pulled over a few times now and have been told that I've got things on my car which I clearly don't...

There is no Ten HD anymore... ...Ch1 is One HD... ...Ch12 is One Digital, a simulcast of One HD in SD... ...and Ch10 stays Ten Digital... ...There was a huge uproar last week pointing the finger at Ten/One because they advertised that the F1 would be on One HD and One Digital and a lot of people that don't have HD recorders set up their recorders for Ch12... ...But they didn't show the F1 on Ch12 because they were also showing a SD feed of the F1 on Ch10 (Ten Digital) that was a few min shorter and didn't have as long as after race driver interview... ...Ch12 (One Digital) just had a place card telling people to watch One HD (Ch1) and Ten Digital (Ch10)...

I just caught the last 10 min of it before the netball started... ...GF turned it on... ...I think it was on from 11am to noon... It should be on again Wed/Thurs night at 12:30am... ...then new programming for One HD is all over the place at the moment... ...Tens web site will say one thing... ...Sevens Tivo guide says something else... ...and the IceTV guide that I use to record on my computer has not much at all because of legal reasons... So I guess just keep an eye out and keep checking One HD whenever you're parked in front of the TV...

The standard tail lights are clear underneath... ...The reflector is just plain white too... ...It's the red outer cover that gives the tail lights their colour... There is a thread from about a year ago where someone explained how they did it and what he used... They looked good on his car... ...But his car was really themed around ice and snow... ...So it worked... Big draw back was he got pulled over by the cops all the time because their headlights would reflect back at them in white and not red... ...So he's back to standard red... As you can see from the pic of the 34 above... ...The red reflector in the middle does look a little naff... ...And most clear ones out there are LED tail lights... At the end of the day... ...It's your car... ...As you can see a lot of people don't like the clear tail light look on skylines... ...But if it fits the overall look of your car... ...Then go for it...

Thinking about it again... ...The fact I had just filled up a full tank probably didn't help either...

Got a couple of quotes today... ...anywhere between $1200.oo and $1800.oo... ...Looks like I'll be doing it through insurance... Only one clip on the back of the headlight is damaged... ...the reo bar is damaged... ...girll is fine... ...but the metal clipping point in the center is bent... I like the S1 bar more than the S2... ...And have no idea what you mean by "banana bar"... ...Please send photos... One place said they'd never seen the silver surrounds on a 33... ...And had no idea where to get replacements in silver... ...another said they could just send the headlights off and the backing would be replaced... ...the rest of the headlight could be fine... Anyway... ...off to call Just Cars now...

There's really no other way to take it... ...I was only doing about 30 to 40 after taking off from lights... ...It wasn't the woman's fault... ...If anything I was too close... I know what caused it... ...And I'm not usually in that lane on the way home to try and avoid things like tools shooting up that extra left lane and cutting back into the left lane... ...I usually leave a huge gap that almost always gets taken up by some tool trying to rush home... Just one of those things... I will get my break balance checked at my next service... ...I do kinda feel that my front wheels locked up way too quick for the slow speed... ...Last service I had the rear disks/pads/calipers/bearings done... ...maybe there's something there... The other thing is I need my car for work... ...So any time off the road is time lost income... ...I guess I can take the light out for a week or two... ...I don't drive at night much... ...if at all...

Today in peak hour traffic I got a little too close to the car ahead... Two cars shot down the left of me and the car ahead and then both tried to cut back in again... ...So the woman ahead of me slammed her breaks on... ...And sadly I was looking over to my right to try and merge right to make room for the two tools thinking that the second car was about to try and merge into where I was... ...but he went ahead of her and she slammed on the breaks... ...She tried to get the number plate of the second car but only got the first two letters... And here's the damage... I'm hoping it is all plastic damage... ...Doesn't look like any metal is bent... ...Apart from the few metal clipping points just behind the grill and left headlight... ...which pushes the headlight up a little and I can't close my bonnet... ...It clips down but doesn't latch... ...And I'm guessing I'm going to need a new bar... ...because it looks like this isn't fixable... What annoys me most is I see day after day people shooting down those left lanes in peak hour traffic intersection after intersection and using the service lane to jump ahead of the traffic... ...I guess this time it was my turn to get caught by these poo heads...

Thinking about it again it could have been Leanback (?)... ...Had some bumper stickers placed diagonally across the bottom right of the rear windscreen...

I feel the media has a lot to do with the general public's view of the hoon laws... As you say Sly32... ...If they're under 25 or in an import... ...They're labeled as a hoon... ...Where older people aren't... ...I know more people over the age of 60 that shouldn't be on the road than those under 30... A few years ago... ...2005 I think... ...a high speed chase ended in the death of a child when the vehicle being chased crashed... ...Now I'm a little cloudy on the finer details but I believe the officers involved were held responsible for the death of the child... ...and not the driver of the offending vehicle... Now I'm a firm believer that as soon as you decide not to stop for the police... ...You absolve the police of any blame for the actions you cause the police to take to pursue you... The name "Hoon Laws" is inappropriate... ...They shouldn't be labeled or separated from the "normal" road laws... ...I see way more white vans and company cars doing "hoon like" behavior... ...Or breaking what I like to call "Goon Laws"... ...Changing lanes a lot... ...not indicating... ...Tail gating... ...Diving into the left lane at lights and then forcing their way back in... ...Not doing the speed limit in the right most lane... ...Entering an intersection when they won't clear it and blocking other traffic that then has the green light... Tonight on the way home from work I saw three accidents all caused by people being "Goons" in peak traffic... ...I think there is too much focus on young drivers misbehaving and not enough reeducation of older drivers... ...After all... ...If the young ones see this behavior on the roads they'll do the same thing...

On a test drive in a 33 with leather seats... About five min in... Me: "What's that burning plastic smell?" Seller: "Oh, my GF must have left the heated seats on. She's always doing that." Reaches over and flicks some loose looking switch.
