Thanks for picking me up on that... ...I mean the distributor... ...All fixed now...

So I had the timing belts done and the mechanic found that one of the "lugs" on the end of the Cam has broken off and jammed into the distributor... ...Lucky for me it means that my car still runs because of the way the distributor locks into the cam... ...however under heavy load I get a little bit of a "chug chug"... Last time I put my car on a dyno I got close to 150kws at the wheels... ...Which I'm told is quite good for a stock GTS25t... So not knowing much about Cams... ...If I was to go for some upgraded Cams... ...What should I look for and what kind of power increase could I expect???... It's also my daily driver so I don't want anything over crazy...

I would if they would answer their damn phone... Every time I ring them I get an answering machine... ...I've even tried their emergency number and they don't answer that either... ...Even an e-mail... I think I've tried about four times a day since last friday... ...Today was the only day I haven't tried...

They are "Crime Prevention" cars... ...they drive around to schools and other local community events... ...As I understand it they are donated by local business... ...be that auto or other... ...What type of car they are all depends on who donates them... I doubt they'd ever get used for anything else...

Spotted a 4 door R33 GTS25t in the cadets parking at the Police Academy... ...Looked stock... ...Hopefully someone that will be sympathetic to our cause in the coming years... I'm not telling you why I was there today...

Ahh... ...the good old "timed" edit button... This is something I've taken issue with on a number of other forums that use the same system as SAU... Simple answer is... ...You can't edit old entries... On SAU you have a limited time to edit an entry one you post it... ...see eMsta's post above... On another forum that I'm a mod on they allow "paid members" to edit their posts and "time edit" "non-paying members"... ...Which seems to work well to keep the people that just want to be pains away... Now I could be wrong... ...but I think with this forum system you can place different rules onto different sections... ...so a Classifieds section could have all edits turned off and a section like this Events one could have edits turned on... If you were to ask my opinion... ...this events section should at least let the Topic Poster edit the first post for things like this if they are a paid member... ...And I mainly think this because in the Members Only area Executives can still edit their First post of the Topic... But this will be a topic that will be debated over and over again...

Hmm... ...I guess I'd take a '32 GT-R... ...And rip out all the carbon burning parts... ...and put in electric parts... Some advantages... ...Constant toque... ...No more fuel costs... ...Quiet... Some disadvantages... ...Can't drive as far... ...could be heaver... There's lots more pros and cons...

I'd say play it safe and leave your "P"s up... ...If it's a case where you are still on your "P"s and you've been given your full license... ...I know of someone that got pulled over while he had "L"s up because he was teaching his son to drive and had just dropped him off to work... Once cops realised he was on his full license all was good... ...No harm in having them up and being on your full license... ...If you get pulled over you could just say you put them up out of habit...
