Hi just wondering if this is safe or not, i currently have a vented bonnet, when bonnet closed the vent sits on top of the intercooler pipe/cam gear cover so its right at the front of the engine i change my plugs usually when i do an oil etc change every 5-10Ks and its a pain in the ass removing the coil pack cover everytime so i just wana keep it off would this be ok or should i put the cover back on? thanks in advance

Never assume, it leads to assumptions. Im only doing the 3 month suspension coz vicroads f**ked me over with their mis-typed options notice. As a result of THEIR mistake I am in the situation im in now and nothing can be done as the suspension is already locked in. arguing it and going to court would be a waste of time and money. Ok ive replaced my old single din dvd player with one of them no brand double din touch screen dvd units, it works great only problem I'm having now is everytime I turn up the volume to about 18 and over it goes down by itself again. Anyone know why this happens? Have I wired the speakers incorrectly or is there a problem with the unit itself? I have standard speakers. I never used to have this issue with my old unit... Any ideas? Thanks

thanks mate sounds like you've put a fair bit of work into it. nice yeah i've done a fair bit of reading and research mainly on the S line b5. was a bit obsessed with it hehe only thing putting me off a b6 a4 is the lack of power in standard form as i dont really wanna spend too much modifying the engine though they are gorgeous cars... another plus for the b5 s4 is the interior, factory leather recaros = win

any mods on your a4? b6 rear end always reminds me of a lambo gallardo, similar style and tail lights.. stage 3 modded s4 b5s are insane! such a sleeper

evening, i've bought some 2nd hand rims mainly coz they were dirt cheap and are jap i havent tried on the rears but i've tried the fronts and they do not clear the calipers just wondering (btw this is for the r34 gt-t experts) what size spacers would i need to use? rim size on the fronts is 18x8 +42 thanks in advance

i seeeeeeeee guess only way to see is to get test drives in both manual and smg and see what suits me best aargh really want to call up some ads on carsales and organise test drives but i'd feel like a user as i cant actually buy the car till mine is sold lol

i dont get how this SMG works is it just tiptronic like in any other car or? why is it bad? does the car actually get off the throttle when you change up/down gears? havent really looked into them im just avoiding them based on what i've read so far. i actually like the idea of a sequential box where its the same as manual just without a clutch pedal but if its bad and has problems etc then i'll stick to the 6sp i love all m5s but even the e39 is out of my price range but i'll keep a look out for a super good deal, you never know...

Ten Four thanks heaps for that info man so basically the evos are the later model e36s that came with the 3.2 and 6sp right? 236kw and weighs about the same as a 34 gtt not bad at all. do you know if sunroof was a factory option or they just didnt come with it? nice 540 btw its just too "family car" spec for my liking well my 34 is at 115Ks and im stressing that i wont be able to sell it while Ks are still low enough lol i just think anything over 150Ks is "high" but thats just me go take it for a test drive tell us what we're missing
