as above i really need a stock exhaust to clear my EPA as its weeks overdue! i have a turbo back 3" so im not sure whether i need to change whole system or just fit stock catback to aftermarket front pipe maybe someone can clear this up for me? have cash ready can pick up asap thanks

as above im currently in the market for an Audi S4 B5 model (2000-01) just wondering if anyone here knew if such Euro cars can be imported from Japan (or some other country)? there arent many selling locally as it is let alone all factory standard with low Ks and for decent price (which is what im looking for) thanks in advance

the pops in the exhaust have been there for aslong as i remember. the stutter on idle on cold starts i noticed it about a week or 2 after the timing belt and water pump were replaced with new ones. this part "on gentle driving it accelerates smoothly, but once i put my foot down it stutters badly and goes no where. this happens when i hit full boost mainly" i noticed it months ago but has been getting worse ever since... i have changed the intake pipe a couple of times during the past few months (from rubber to steel to rubber and now rubber with steel piece in it. i also changed the afm (mine broke) and put stock airbox back on. i did this a few days before the timing belt was replaced

how tough is that golf! why did you have to show me that im having trouble making up my mind as it is! haha ive never really been into small hatchbacks other than the pulsar gtir and the audi s3... im loving that r32 though! im guessing they are 4wd? or is it fwd like normal golfs? and yes i agree EVO interiors are up there amongst the worst as for the E36 dash yeah i guess it has its benefits. hate how the headunit sits up top. looks weird

the amount of 318i's i see on the road with M badging and kits etc for some reason puts me off the m3. and i cannot get past the dash area, possibly the ugliest interior/centre console IMO lol that bad is it? for my next car i'm looking at spending $25-30K max im no longer in the market for a 8 series, shame. im kind of set on a B5 S4 however i still havent ruled out the v35/350z... cheers

ah yeah i know what you mean. apparently the s4 does 0-100 in 5.6 secs which from memory is about a second quicker than a r34 gtt? hmmmm gotta get me a test drive somehow, would be interesting to see how it compares to a jap turbo.

Redbook is on my side however the actual sellers arent lol never been a fan of jaguars or mercs. i dont mind mercs too much but definately not jags. mmmm Brabus... and yeah i'd like a manual this time, been driving the auto too long hehe why is that C43 a "collectors car" ? oh and ive actually looked into the boxsters back when my brother was looking for a car to buy. i do like em... but would hate pulling up next to a 911 in it lol

i've seen those on carsales, that Calypso one is so friggin sexy and those wheels are perfect for it! i have already considered the e36 m3 but as you mentioned they are getting old with most of the ones within my budget have 150Ks+ which is too high for my liking. also the interior is pretty outdated IMO. e46 m3 is way more than what im looking to spend. i have narrowed it down to 3 cars since the 840ci is no longer an option also given up on the r34 gtr at this stage im left with: v35 350gt - newer, nice car all round with decent performance. good value 350z - same as above 350z roadster - same as above + bit different audi s4 b5 - something different/practical and nice car all round. always loved the S4s

as above ive looked on carsales etc thought i'll try the forums to see if theres anything better im after a v35 350gt "premium" must have the following - brembos 6 speed manual sunroof leather/suede interior show us what you got cheers

wow thanks for all the help guys VERY much appreciated ive thought over and over about it, did heaps of research /reading on them and asked a few local mechanics who specialise in euro cars etc ive decided to stick with jap cars while i'm still an apprentice mainly for the reliability issue. but will definately look into these again in a couple of years time hopefully when ive taken over my old man's business. currently looking into r34 gtrs and v35 350gt with the premium package but we'll see how it goes... again, thanks for the help

yeah i realise they're not the cheapest cars to service/repair. need to find one thats had a good history but just like any car, look after it and it'll look after you will mostly be driven 1 or 2 days a week max. Terry did you have one of these?

from what ive gathered theres pretty much no difference performance wise between the 12s and the 8s. but fark the v12 sounds good damn i have a feeling in time these will become collectable and pricey, wouldnt mind getting one now while they're still affordable

i see yeah all aussie delivered ones were automatic, im trying to see how hard it would be to get one in manual

i had a look on imports101 and prestigemotorsports couldnt find any on there, any ideas? particularly the 840ci model would just like to know if they can be imported, who imports them and the costs landed/complied etc i know its a long shot... most people here dont even know these cars exist thanks

i know of the one your talking about, what was bad about it? it looked pretty clean in the pics whichever one i get i'll be keeping for a long time, i hate the whole process of buying/selling so definately dont want a shitter. i'm looking at getting something original, very clean and untouched in any way and i plan on keeping it that way. i could wait and save more i guess what do r34 gtr's go for usually in the above condition and landed, complied, registered etc? thanks

Hi just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as i have no idea what websites you guys look at to view cars in japan basically i want to get the latest model GTR within my budget (mid $30k'ish) i was thinking a series 3 r33 gtr but is it possible to get a r34 gtr for that much? preferably factory standard and untouched i know theres definately no chance of finding a r34 gtr locally for under 40K hence why im looking at importing i'd appreciate any assistance
