  1. l have dash 5 on my setup and personally l do not think it will give you that rush you are after. If want that big shove in the back feeling go for a big single. If l had to do it all over again thats what l would do.
  2. l have said this many times before, maybe l am the only one who has this setup. My car is making a claimed 380RWKW and is using a standard GTR pump wired to get a constant 14.5 volts. The guy who did all the work on my car claims that having the pump wired this way is good for 400RWKW.
  3. l have a R33 GTST with a RB 25/26 combo and is making a "claimed" 380RWKW, although in my personal veiw it has much less. Anyway l am running a standard in tank GTR pump that has been wired using a relay to get a consant 14.5 volts and this setup is claimed to be good for about 400 RWKW.
  4. My car is using standard dump pipes, not sure if they are R32 or R33 items with -5 turbos and it is making a "claimed" 380RWKW, which l believe from drivng the car and being in cars that have around 330 to 350RWKW there is no way it has that claimed power reading. There are many other factors on my car that make this power claim seem untrue and having standard dump pipes do not help. Looking at the standard dumps compared to aftermarket ones, there has to be some gain had from changing them over.
  5. Why not replace the existing pump with a new one, and wire it up so it gets a constant 13.5 volts. This is what has been done to my car and its making well over 300rwkw and was recommended to me by a well known shop here in Melbourne.
  6. Im running -5 turbos on a rb 26 powered GTST making a claimed 380 RWKW with a built bottom end using standard cams and standard dump pipes. l have been a passenger in cars with around the same power using a big single and all l can say, compared to my setup they feel so much more faster and the power seems to never taper off. The only good option l can see with a twin setup like l have, is that it looks quite stock in appearance giving you less hassle with the cops. l know if was tossing up between low mount twins or a single again and what l know now and what l want the car for, l would take the big single.
  7. Thanks for the infomation.
  8. do any of you guys know were the build date stamp on a r33 GTST is located, Thanks.
  9. The car in question that makes a claimed 380RWKW would be mine and, yes it uses factory R33 dump pipes. But for that price l would give them a go. If you see no gain you can always sell them and get your money back. Although my car makes the above mentioned power, l am thinking of buying a set of trust extention pipes as l have been offered a set at a good price. looking at after market dump pipes compared to the standard ones, the after market dumps you would think would make some type of power gain.
  10. l have a rb 26 powered r33 making a claimed 380RWKW using standard r32 dumps. I can now get a set of trust extenion pipes for a good price and was wondering if they would make a noticable difference? Looking at the trust items you think they would make some difference compared to the stock 32 ones. Have any of you guys used these trust extenion pipes and what were the gains you had from changing them over. thanks
  11. l have done a search but have come up with no clear answer. Can someone please tell me how hard it is to remove the fuel tank and what process is involved? Thanks.
  12. Thanks for the drawing Moodles2, makes it alot easy to identify the bleed point.
  13. Thanks for the quick reply dirtgarage but, l am not sure what you mean reguarding a balance tube? Could you explain a little more what it looks like. Thanks again.
  14. I have done a search and found no answers. Could someone please tell me where the bleed point for the cooling system is for a rb26, Thanks.
  15. thanks for the info gents, I will go back to the shop l bought the oil from and hope they will exchange it to light weight shockproof.
  16. I have a r33 GTST with i think superlight weight shockproof oil. (blue in colour) The car now makes some decent power and after some hard driving, quite alot of gearbox oil has come out the breather, so now l have decided to change the gearbox oil as well as the diff oil. I just bought some heavy shockproof oil thinking that this was the oil in the gearbox but, opening the bottle l noticed that it is red in colour meaning the oil that is in my box is either light weight or super lightweight. Has anyone used super heavy shockproof in there gearbox and what is the shift like. Thanks.
  17. l made a post regurading the same question a few months back. lets just say l was mocked by some dicks on this site even thinking of pushing that much power through a GTR fuel pump. Now l know l am not the only one who has a GTR fuel pump pushing beyond the 300RWKW mark, makes me feel a little more content with my current setup.
  18. I have a built rb 25 with the following done, standard rb 25 block r33 GTR crank GTR rods forged pistions N1 water pump tommei oil pump rb26 head standard cams standard manifolds and dumps with 2860-5 turbos with 0.64 turbine housing, as well as all the other supporting mods. At the moment it is making 330 rwkw on 17 psi of boost. l would like to know of anyone here is making around 380 rwkw using these turbos, as l am considering repalcing my current setup with a t04z as it is well documented that it will surpport this amount of power.
  19. Come on, someone must know something about GTR fuel pumps
  20. Hey guys l have done a search on the fourms but, what l would like to know is how much power can a standard GTR fuel pump support? l have been told that if you wire the fuel pump so it recieves a constant 14.5 volts it can handle around 400 RWKW. This may seem like a dumb arse question to some of you but, all l am tring to find out is that the imformation l have been told is correct. Thanks.
  21. Thanks, thought it would be something like that.
  22. I have a R33 GTST with a RB 26 , and has a pair of garrett GT2560R turbos. The part numbers on the turbos are 707160-5. I have looked on the garrett web site and the only one that is listed is GT2560R-707160-9 rated at 330 HP. What l would like to know are they the same turbos? I know alot of people have used 2560R turbos but, who has used the version l have and what power are you getting with what mods. Thanks.
  23. While we are on the topic of fuel pumps, who is running a GTR pump. I have been told that if you wire a GTR pump to get consant 14.5 volts. it can support up to 400RWKW is this correct? I had a walbro in my car and now l have a GTR pump wired up in the mentioned configeration supporting well over 300RWKW.
  24. l have just done this conversion on my car and l had to swap the whole wiring loom over to a GTR item so all the sensers could run as well as change my power FC over to a GTR one.
  25. 3037 pro S is the way to go. l Mounted one on a standard manifold using a 10 mm spacer as the housing fouled against the engine block. l made 274 RWKW with this turbo.
