  3. rb20s are sweet! i just went 25 cause i blew mine up and got a great 25 at the price of a 20...
  4. Safc 2 for sure, it can correct the mixtures up top to stop it running rich and you will make more power.Fpr is only really needed if you want to bump the pressure of the rail, if your close to maxing stock injectors and want to bump boost into it cheaply, so its not really needed in your application. Safcs are easy to hook up:)
  5. mine maxed at 193 rwkw..i would change it.
  6. yep i would be almost certain its compressor surge, you need to throw some timing into it and lean the mixtures out.(remap)

    Rb25det

Hey guys, I got an rb25det engine here with low compression on cylinder 2(85psi). Dont really know the history of the engine, but it certainly need a rebuild on the future. Should come with inlet and exhaust manifolds, but no turbo or water lines. Im after anything over $500. Call me on 0401840204 Thanks Raz
  12. I can confirm that..
  13. A fully bombed rb20 head i would think would not even flow close to a stock as a rock 25 head...
  14. took the turbo to mtq today, the exhaust wheel is heaps wobbler than the comp wheel...hopfully rear seal...
  15. I think i wrote in the post, but the turbo is only 7 months old, its a highflow bush bearing with steel wheels..still has warrenty, and will be the cheapest option for the time being..since its still under warrenty. cheers guys
  16. So i have a weird situation with my rb25 engine... I think i have rounded it down the engine rings or turbo failure, but then again ive been wrong before, symptoms are; It blows oil smoke(yes it is 100% oil smoke) after about 2 mins of driving, no massive embarrassing plooms but enough to be embarrased driving in mild traffic. There is no oil in the intake piping at all near the compressor or intercooler. I have a catchcan with blocked off pcv valve to plenum..catch can is venting to atmo... so there is no oil going back into the intake. After hardcore drives the catch can fills about 30mls, but that could be becuase i still have rb20 rocker covers??, although i do think the engine is a little tired.. The car itself cranks over perfect.. cold, hot whenever and idles great no smoke. It is only when the car warms does it blow smoke..the worst is when just taking off there a ploom then it seems to go away, then when its boosts its back again, and if i give it full boost hard i can see it on the backoff. I personally think a rear seal is goone in the turbocharger and there seems to be a more than usual amount of shaft play(its a bush bearing highflow), as i think i can see small burring on the compressor fins, and is a bit shiny where its been ever so slightly rubbing. Thing is, ive only had this turbo rebult in the last 7 months...which sucks. The thing that stumps me is the intake piping is clean, if it the bearing it gone it usually leaks both sides right?? helpy?? cheers Raz
  17. In regards to injectors, i used the rb25det injector loom and plug, and made my own plug from the ecu side to fit .
  18. Yep...the guy that bought em off me was stoked...cash talks i suppose
  19. Well, if i wanted a tax invoice it was worth $30....i didnt get a tax invoice and payed the whole of $10 more than what you did bargin boy.
  20. no thanks
  21. i used rb20det balancer, and steering pump...fitted up perfectly, and also used rb20det loom and comp, no worries!!... just modified the injector wires! IMO way easier than shoving a rb25 loom in and fiddling under the dash what not. Cheers. i used all rb20 sensors also.
  22. Just need both rocker covers for rb25det.. brissy area i will pick up looking at spending no more than $50. Thanks
