Service the car regularly and get a good boost controller. Ive seen enough rb25s with the stocker running 14psi last much longer than a year, thats enough evidence for me. But in saying thats only what i have seen personally. As with anything your taking more of a risk than running it from standard boost pressure.
Crank it!
Mtq rb25 hiflow@18psi
hybrid fmic
gtr injectors with resistor
gtr fuel pump
turbo back 3" exhuast straight thru
pod
turbotech style manual controller
safc2
All built in my garage by me.. stoked!
305.5 rwhp or 230 rwkw

I think ive acually got it running ok now, goes in for a power run tomorrow to check out the afrs. Is there anybody out there runnong bigger injectors with and safc only?
As i can't get to my dyno man till mid next week, i was wondering if anyone has got some basic safc settings for gtr injectors on rb20, at the moment ive turned it all back to stock but its still rich as a pig.
I think i can get away with turning it down -10% in all rpm areas with a few dodge calculations ive done but iv hit a stump in trying to figure out how much more fuel is being put in it as percentage stock vs gtr 440s.
Cheers
Its an rb25 hiflow, i see full boost at 4100rpm which i dont think is too bad. CEF11E's rb20 was a well sorted setup and pretty much the pinnicle in regards to rb25 highflow on rb20 performance in my opinon. The difference is he has a remap and z32 afm(im using an safc and stock afm).
How much can you really expect from the rb20? I would expect with it even more air (say18-20psi) i should see around the 300rwhp mark, i dont think thats not a bad power figure, considering the only things a changed is turbo and injectors.
Thats a huge increase in power with the two different turbos, i ran mine on the same dyno with the stocker and a hiflow...
237rwhp@ 14 psi with stocker.
260rwhp with the hiflow @15.5 psi with the injectors maxing out.
I was stoked with the 23hp increase for the extra 1.5 psi.
Just wondering if anypne has fitted gtr injectors with a resistor pack but using an safc?? i was thinking in theory i just turn the fuel settings down into the minus.
Cheers
I Hope the milky liquid your talking about doesnt look like chocolate milk, this is when oil and water mix which shouldn't happen.. does it seem it has never idled properly after the "bang" even after fitting new plugs?
I think it looks way tougher/better than the r35 GTR..if only it could perform as well. The 7.0 hsv thing is pretty gayass... red interior makes me sick.
Hey tez, those gtr injectors are sweet bro..ill get the money too ya next week if thats cool?
Camerons car has turbosmart bleed valve and its rubbish...spikes all over the place doesnt even hold boost properly.
Cam, ill adjust the spring on the wastegate..on one condition, you just need to run 1.4 bar.. .
I reckon your cam belt is off one tooth on both cam wheels, A way to confirm this is to get a vacuum gauge it should read -19/-20 if you have stock cams, if its anything higher like -15/-16 start pulling off the front of the engine, cause it will need adjustment. The cas in no way should be "advanced as far forward as possible"... somthing is up.
Once you get it on properly you will even have more power and a stedy idle.
FOG35, i made similar to you 260rwhp(195rwkw?) on 15 psi. But realistically, im after 300rwhp on 18-20psi, dont think a fuel reg is going to get me there, i think it will be sorted with fpr, gtr inject (already got a gtr pump).
Can anyone confirm you dont need a resistor pack if you have a safc, just by turning the settings into the minus lowers the ohms reading therefore running gtr injectors without resistor pack.
Confirmation?
-19/20 vac is normal for a car with standard cams. If your cars reasonably standard and you have a vaccuum of -16 or less id be thinking your timming belt may have some issue e.g off by 1 tooth.
