  1. Mechpro is like the bargain basement no warranty label of the Repco brand. If you buy the Repco branded tools you have lifetime warranty and I've never had a problem swapping a tool over the counter.
  2. Will take $650
  3. Really doing best to keep this thread alive lol Snagged a set of Sidchrome 440 series spanners from my mates at Repco Chatswood today. The past couple of times I've been in there buying oil/filters/etc I've noticed these guys in the display case marked down to $119. Today temptation got the better of me. They had a few more sets and as I suggested above it seems that Repco as a brand are divesting themselves of Sidchrome stock so a good time to tool-up. Yes they have the lifetime replacement warranty.
  4. I needed a spare 1/2" ratchet for my "cruise" toolkit (the one that leaves the house) -picked this set up at Repco for $59 (I gather they're clearing out their Sidchrome gear). They don't feel as strong as my older Sidchrome ratchets, but for the price I can't complain. Also returned an old Repco 1/4" ratchet that I must have had for six or seven years. The bearing on the head was worn so sockets etc were just falling off; can't fault their warranty and service the bloke at the counter swapped it for a new one on the spot and no questions asked. Will definitely be recommending their tools to anyone who asks.
  5. Still for sale -need to move these on feel free to PM me with an offer
  6. Price drop to $800 or reasonable offer. I really do need to clear these out in favour of something bigger so don't be afraid to inbox me if you're interested. Cheers
  7. So I've somewhat outgrown my current tool-storage situation so I'm looking to move my Repco toolboxes on in favour of something bigger. Not to say that these are small... All are in good condition. I use my tools, but I also clean them and lube the bearings on a periodic basis. These are Repco series 2 tool boxes and feature fully welded construction double powder coating for a stronger, more durable and better looking finish. gas struts high quality KR Type drawer handles full length ball bearing slides Automatic Drawer Locking System and much more. All drawers are key-lockable and foam lined. The bottom box sits on heavy-duty lockable trolley wheels and has a sturdy rubber coated handle for easy maneuvering in the shed. This is the kit I want to offload -please note none of the tools pictured are included. Specifics below Top Box 6 drawers 660x307x374mm (WxDxH) 3 small drawers 170x275x50mm 2 large shallow drawers 569x275x50mm 1 large medium-depth drawer 569x275x75mm The Sidchrome/ABW socket rails pictured will be removed before sale. 8. Yes VIP member for the 30% off sales. The tool storage is sometimes discounted in catalogue sales too
  9. Glad to see this thread back in action I have three Repco chests, get in there this weekend and snag one for 30% off. They seem fairly well built, I haven't got any complaints except that they keep filling up lol
  10. I had Chris do a catback a few years ago. Top job and reasonably priced too.
  11. There are hundreds if not thousands of dogs in pounds and shelters around Australia -give one of those a home instead of shopping for a brand name...
  12. Please add me to the list -looks like an awesome day!
  13. No probs Terry will get back to you just as soon a so figure out how to access PMs on the app lol
  14. Hey guys, bought this genuine Nismo horn button with my 330F steering wheel in mind but decided that the later style (red disc) emblem suits my interior a little better. As far as I know this design is no longer available from Nismo -this particular button was very hard to come by. The button is in good condition. Please note sale is for button only -the pic with the wheel is just for reference. Price: $80 -asking what I paid Location: Sydney (North) Postage: Free
  15. Where in Hornsby do you normally go?
  16. Hey guys, my business distributes bolt kits for US manufacturer. I have a lot of nice stuff for Z32 but R platforms are bit thin on the ground over there. I'd like to put together a kit for R32/33/34 but need to get my hands on one for half a day to measure some fasteners. Is anyone in Northern Sydney available for such a thing? You would be reimbursed for your time by way of product. The kits are very nice with SS fasteners and anodised finish washers -this isn't your run of the SS kit from the local machinery store. Inbox me if you're interested. Thanks!
  17. Haha not cheap, didn't feel too good about cutting them up haha. Jump on ebay, the two triangular ones are "blue point" and the read rail-type ones are "ernst low profile" and the one with the stubbies is "ernst stubby"
  18. Nobody else is buying stuff for their toolboxes? I bought some Ernst and Bluepoint wrench racks from eBay -nothing beats an organised tool drawer
  19. Ok thx -Irwin among others make them and there seem to be a few around on eBay etc (but obviously questionable quality). The ratchet mechanism seemed like it could be useful for tight spaces but I see what you mean. Starrett T handle wrenches seem reasonably priced and plenty of good reviews. Might just grab one from Amazon.
  20. OK tool brains-trust... I need a decent tap wrench, preferably ratcheting type, M5-M12. Ideas?
  21. Fairly sure I have a problem... Repco geared spanners were on sale this last weekend. Quality looks good and lifetime warranty, so I couldn't say no...
  22. Depends how you spec it up man. When you've broken two 'shafts you tend to go overkill, and that's what cost me big bucks. Metro did an awesome job http://metropolitandriveshafts.com.au/ -not the cheapest but they were recommended by someone in the industry whom I think very highly of. This is another shop that I looked at http://www.sydneydriveline.com/index.html -they were a little cheaper (going by over the phone quote) but I didn't know anyone with first hand experience...
  23. Can't help myself this week. Just picked up a 29pc Dewalt HSS metric drill bit set, down from $149 to $99 at Sydney tools.
  24. Went to the Hare and Forbes sale today and pickup up a thread insert set and a bush driver set. Could have spent a small fortune...
