Dunno about traction issues -mine would spin 265 Nankang's on a stock motor, but good tyres make all the difference. Also there's a world of difference between losing traction on a hard launch at Maccas compared to losing traction at the top of 3rd haha Again pound for pound the Z32 with wider footprint should be more stable than the R33....

This one http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=325568 ?

Pound for pound the potential from the 300zx is far greater than the R33. More displacement Shorter stroke Forged Crank Forged Rods More torque That said there is far greater aftermarket support for the RB platform, and being a "simpler" (is that even a real word?) configuration is much easier to work on.

Andrew Suvajac at ASR automotive (Castle Hill) 02 8677 3000 is the only mechanic I take my car to. Used to work at UAS, myself and several others (including S15 and Skyline owners) followed him when he left. Good bloke and good mechanic.

Slimline Internal Drive Lug Nuts?
Rob260 posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I need some slimline internal drive lug nuts to suit a 50mm stud. Any ideas who might carry such a thing? -
Dunno -I've seen the full face velos advertised up to about $499, but that first site I linked to is the Australian distributor so maybe that's why they're a little cheaper via their online store? It's also something of a "no frills" helmet -leaves out a lot of features that I just don't need for the type of use it'll be getting.

Courier Damaged Items Sent, What Are My Options?
Rob260 replied to Dose Pipe Sutututu's topic in New South Wales
Go straight to department of fair trading. I'm dealing with this at the moment via transdirect. An item I sent to a customer was damaged in transit, and after dicking me around for two months they have rejected my insurance claim based on insufficient packaging (the f/glass wing was was packaged with three inches of bubble wrap all the way around, and cardboard on the outside, and marked fragile...) according to manufacturers specifications (there are no manufacturers specifications, I know this because I'm the only one importing these goods in AUS). Rang to discuss and the receptionist says can't discuss insurance via phone, all managers are in a meeting and unable to speak with me, no management don't have a direct line and no I can't tell you when they'll be available. As has been posted these companies are pricks and experts at denying liability. Fair trading process can be a long one (up to 30 days for Fair Trading to respond), lodge your claim and cut your losses... -
So I bit the bullet and went with the Velo from my original post. $399 with overnight delivery seemed a fair price (after doing some digging) for a basic motorsport type helmet, and complies with SNELL2010 so I'll get another 6-7 years out of it.

Have a look here http://www.speedhut.com/gauges/ Just about any configurable option you could dream of including alarms/warning lights etc

Thanks for the feedback, there's a warehouse about an hour drive from me I can probably head to and try some on This is a bit of a worry! If it's protecting my head I think I'd rather pay a little more for one that comes with a sticker... even if it is the same product...

Hey guys, first of all yes I have searched -but couldn't find anything more recent than 2007. Hey guys, was planning to hit the drags today but hit something of a snag with my helmet being more than 10 years old (it's a hand me down from my old man). I want to go out and buy a new one in the next couple of days to hopefully get down on Wednesday. So who is using what and where did you get it from? I can find heaps of online suppliers but not many physical stores. Would a full face bike helmet be OK provided it conforms to appropriate standards? Or should I really be looking at a "motorsport" helmet? Bike helmets seem to start around $90 up to $400 for something top of the line (carbon fibre, ventilation etc etc) whereas motorsport helmets seem to start around $400? And any thoughts on the helmets below? http://www.autosport.com.au/itemdetailspage/15361 http://raceline-racewear.com.au/pyro...ce-helmet.html I had a look at Sparco and Revolution racegear websites but couldn't find much in the sub $700 range.

Might have to order one of those drain plug sockets too...

Picked one of these Repco pressure testing kits up yesterday, not bad for under $300

Seems like the kind of question you should be asking the engine builder? Short answer probably not.

Is This Bee-R Revlimitter Fake?

If there's no fuel there'll be no ignition (as in no bang), so no risk or pinging or higher cylinder temps -
Wouldn't Trust Nrma To Walk My Dog.
Rob260 replied to defectnotice's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I had my work vehicles with NRMA; at the time they had the lowest premium, choice of repairer (of which there were many approved repairers in the local area), reasonable excess etc. I did have to lodge a claim at one stage. Took the car to my choice of repairer for a quote (which was fairly hefty due to some damage to the fibreglass canopy and bumper that had to be rebuilt) which NRMA approved without question, the repairs were carried to an "as new" standard out at said repairer and I paid the excess to the repairer when I collected the car. I could not recommend them highly enough. From your story I can only conclude perhaps the terms are different private or business customers? The Z32 is with Shannons due to their more "flexible" approach to an agreed value. -
Hey Nem, registering my interest...

Hey guys, I'm running a vipec plug in (for GTR) in my Z32. I want to add a wideband 02 sensor to the setup. I'm not interested in a display/gauge, as I want to run the wideband to the ECU, and from there to my Link Displaylink. The ECU currently uses a narrow band 02 in the drivers side dump pipe for closed loop, and I have a spare bung in the passenger side. I'm thinking that rather than mess around with NB simulation etc I may as well leave closed loop as is (ie running of narrowband) and run the WB02 to the display via the ECU as above. So with all of this in mind do we think a Tech Edge 2j2 would be up to the job http://wbo2.com/2j/default.htm? Given what I want it to do I can't see the need for one of their higher end units... or am I missing the point?

Thanks guys will follow up -I saw the JEM wrapup thread recently, looks like you guys run some good events. So procedure is sign up and then keep an eye out for coming events? Is this one full already? I was planning to get an alignment and corner balance done at Heasman's at some stage so I'd be interested in checking them out if there are spots available. Sorry if it has been explained above I've done my best to sort through the posts... -
