  1. Word!
  2. Isn't it just a matter of time before the same thing happens in Japan (and elsewhere)? Toyota is in the process of rebadging many of their higher-end models in Japan (eg Soarer, Celsior, etc) under the Lexus brand. Who says Nissan won't do the same in response? BTW- I agree that it is a fleecing, but people pay it! However, after all is said and done, it's still a great value for the money! In regards to your second comment... Not sure I've seen that yet on any of the Infinitis, but people slap Honda badges on "Acura" Integras all the time.
  3. I always thought the G35 sedan/coupe was more directed towards being a competitor to the larger BMW 5/6 series or Lexus GS/SC? I suppose price wise though, they're a bit closer to the models you mentioned. Either way, Nissan is back on the right track and, as Blitz mentioned, these cars are selling very well here in the States. I've noticed these models seem to be holding their value very well on the secondhand market too.
  4. Wow...that sounds...uhh...really painfree.
  5. Hi guys, I'm in the market for a digital SLR and have some questions--hopefully some of you might be able to assist me with! This will be my first digital SLR camera and I would like something with a lot of versatility that would be good for lots of different shots. I'm, more or less, looking at a few cameras in the entry to mid level and haven't quite decided which route to follow in terms of buying. I've kind of narrowed it down to two different options: The first is to buy a "starter" digi SLR that I use for a couple of years and then buy something better. For this option, I'm considering the Pentax ist DL2, ist DS2, and the Nikon D50. The second is to buy a slightly more expensive camera that I would be able to continue using after i've developed my skills better as a photographer. For this option, I'm considering the Nikon D70 or the Canon Rebel EOS 350D. As I'm sure many of you have been in the same position yourselves, I'm curious to know what option you would recommend I go with or perhaps give any positive/negative experiences with some of the above (non-reviewed) cameras listed. Thanks in advance for your help! Moderators - I didn't want to post my question in the stickied thread since it has more to do with actual reviews than Digi SLR questions. If this is incorrect, please contact me or delete this thread. Thanks.
  6. So, if I understand correctly, you pay a fee to be able to buy cars and then you're allowed to purchase, correct? What's the membership cost roughly and are any of these cars worth a piss or have they been thrashed about or are theft recoveries? Thanks
  7. Pardon my ignorance, but how does this USS Auctions deal work exactly? Is this an "auto-dealer only" type thing where cars are bought and sold at wholesale prices or can the general public get involved too? Those Datsun Fairlady Z's are calling my name!
  8. Hey Rezz, Considering this will be right down the road from me, and since I've been wanting to go for ages now, there's no way I can miss it. However, I am slightly confused about your itenerary. With this show going on for 3 days, are you proposing to meet up for all three or just one of the three? If the latter, what date/time were you looking at?

    New Civic Type R

That rear wing looks fruity and probably does nothing (other than to block your view). Otherwise, the car looks really cool!
  10. Hi guys, This is my first post on this board although some of you may recognize my name from the 7tune forums. I'm moving to Western Chiba shortly and have some questions regarding parking in fairly urbanized areas. First off, a bit of background regarding my situation. I'm going to work for a smaller English school that has their own apartment complex, but does not offer any sort of parking with the contract (since they deem driving not necessary for the job). I, however, would like a car to be able to drive and go the places I want without having to depend on public transport. In short, I'm curious to know if this is a fairly common practice to not offer parking or somewhat rare? Secondly, if this common and other people have had to deal with the same sort of thing, what sort of options did you look at for parking and what are fairly typical monthly costs? Cheers, Steve aka "shiro240"
