  1. yer, you better be careful, as that bit of plastic is worth $70 bucks. I would know as mine is missing and i want one
  2. 25k is what i would pay for a stock s3 r33. considering i have just bought 2 s3 gtrs (one for me and one for my bro). We paid a little extra (only 2k) and got a shit load of extras, around 20k worth. We plan on getting to the track more often and we were planning on moding them aswell. But now all we have to do is save for when things go bang. Having owning it now for 6 months, ive already spent around 5k mostly for additional mods (oil cooler, coilovers, tyres). I dont think i could justify starting from scratch. it would cost both arms and legs to get it to any decent lvl.
  3. 25/40 are what came on the car and i would rather these turbos than the stock ones for sure
  4. i too just bought a JJR oil cooler. i think it was the 25 row silver one and mounted it in the passenger side in front of the wheel. i knew already the connectors needed tape so i just used it straight away. 3 things i found out was on the RB26 engines the sandwich plate and oil lines are so hard to put on as there is no room in there. 2nd is you need to buy new hoses to suit where your oil cooler will go. i needed to buy a .5m and 2m and used JJR's 1.5m hose. 3rd i installed my oil cooler too far forward and now i cant install my blinker. i will have to move it back 2" so it looks stock.
  5. find the manual on the web, i did and its there some where. i was in the same position a few months back ago. I just had a look and i still have it. pm me your email and ill send it to ya
  6. im running hks 25/40 turbos so they are steel wheels. Holy crap didn't think preventative measures would cost that much. How the hell did Nissan build such a good car and F#@k up the oil part. From what you guys are saying from 50 cars that start the track day, an average of 1-2 will die is the norm. Now that sucks. Oh and now i know why my 3 instructors were trying to get me to change gears earlier and not drive to red line.
  7. I just done the OP GP and was hearing 2-3 engines have failed. That's 5% of the cars. Now since returning from the track day im hooked and now looking for my next track day. However anyone who is running a modified engine will always have in the back of their mind "will my engine fail because of the oil". I plan on doing more track days in the near future but is it worth pulling the head off and opening up the oil galleries and putting in the restrictions. How much do workshops ask $$ wise for this type of job. Or do i just wait for the bearings to fail then rebuild it with forgies and put the oil mods in at the same time. i know that to do all the oil mods the engine will have to come out. If i can help it i really dont want to ever rebuild my engine (not looking forward to a 10k engine rebuild), but rather take preventative measures. i did overfill it by 1 liter on the track day and installed an oil cooler but that's all i can do atm. In the near future the car will be tuned for around 270kw if that matters.
  8. so this is 100% full? If there is a reserve list put me down. anyways PM sent. will need to organize membership. so ill pay for that first and if there is still room ill pay the rest. here's hoping
