Did you/committee get a chance to catch up with wrx motorsports?

In, interested to see how this one goes. After all, it's a long way to drive to sit around in the pits especially when I can't have a bottle of red with my BBQ :-)

Cheers for progressing this last night. To get further members interested in motorsport, in addition to a beginning motorsport tech night it would be good if we could promote/target the tech night with any upcoming fun days, driver instruction events at our social club days such as karting and dyno membership days etc. Then keep them by showing/welcoming them to the SAU garage :-)

Guess 95db days would help but residents, penguins etc don't seem to share our passion

After all these years of putting regular entries in to the WRX rounds, shame if we're then put out in the cold for two extra days.

Basic HD gopro mounted on the front bar (wish I had remote capability) and family vid camera mounted to roll cage. With v wide FoV Gopros need to be close to the action, if you mount high, really lose sense of speed and I need all the help I can get.

Will be interesting to see they attempt to run a parallel WRX/Porsche day again. Weather was good, it started bang on time but the number of groups and offs/delays severely impacted track time including the one that closed the track early cancelling the last couple of sessions during which I normally get my PB :-) SAU BBQ saved the day Laps from my last session. http://youtu.be/tlrwEWB7cC4 Seems I didn't find those fast lines!

Looks like it will not impact us even if we join a round of Victoria's sprint series, spotted this in the latest CAMS release. "From 1 July, 2014 all international and national circuit races, road events and off road events, except where specifically exempted due to the type of vehicle; From 1 January, 2015, all state circuit races, road events and off road events, except where specifically exempted due to the type of vehicle. This does not include Speed events and Auto tests."

Now this is new territory! Leroy really appreciated the post yesterday, enabled me to make a detour home(to enter) before going back out for the night. Any chance they will be putting up an open/visible reserves list, similar to DECA? Also wish their site defaulted the tick box to put peoples name up on the entry list, not sure that many people would opt out.
