Northside?

I found a recent report of some JPC gears breaking but I can't find ANY reports of Reimax gears failing.
-
Nahhhhhhhh not on this engine
-
Yeah that's the way I'm leaning, it's not a super hi-po engine and won't be seeing over 6500rpm so she'll be right
-
I don't have an RB26 pump, only an old N1 and an RB30E
-
Just measured my N1 gears and they are 77x11mm and the inner gear has 11 teeth, so that's what I'll order Anyone had any experience with either Reimax or JPC gears?
-
The thicker ones are the Reimax Capacity Up gears that you have to send them your housing to have them fitted in to, RHDJapland list them separately: http://www.rhdjapan.com/reimax-reinforced-and-capacity-up-oil-pump-gear-kit-skyline-gt-r-rb26dett-59391 I guess this is why I'm leaning towards the Reimax gears over the JPC as the JPC guy said he wasn't aware of any size differences with the N1 pumps and that's why they moved to the N1 over the RB30E/T.
-
No, the OD of the N1 pumps, they state an early (81mm) and a later (77mm), the later being the same size as normal RB26 pumps. http://www.rhdjapan.com/reimax-oil-pump-gear-kit-skyline-gt-r-rb26dett-54021

Currently an RB30E pump but I have an N1 pump as well which is what I was going to put the gears in (neither JPC or Reimax do RB30 gears). The info on RHDJapan says there are two sizes of Reimax gears, both for the N1 pump but there is an early (bigger OD) and a later (smaller OD) version. Yeah a week and $60 is neither here nor there, so that's why I'm torn with which way to go and I guess I am looking for peoples experiences with either.

So I'm in the market for some new oil pump gears, I was going to get some JPC items but after discussions on the phone this morning, they are out of stock for another week or so. I also queried the different sizes of gears and the guy said he wasn't aware of different sizes.. So I jumped on RHDJapan as I recalled seeing them specifiy two different OD's of gears and they only want AU$430 delivered for the Reimax gears while the JPC gears are AU$370+postage... Which ones should I go for?

I reused the wire twisties that were on there

Yeah mine are just generic universals from Covos

The temperature could be affecting a connection to the point where when it is hot it's draining excessive current (bad earth? etc). A bigger/newer battery won't help in that case. IMO, *something* is drawing way too much current when hot and cranking, to the point where the fuel pump doesn't have enough voltage to maintain pressure.. Does it cough and fart at all when it's doing it? or just spins over without even trying to fire?
-
7.8v cranking is pretty low isn't it? Could the starter be dying? and drawing a lot more current than it needs? to the detriment of other systems?

R32 Gtr Stock Rotors To 324Mm Rotors
bubba replied to SiR_RB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I run this setup as well, with Ferodo DS2500 pads (pads cost more than the rotors and dogbones ) and it stops pretty damn well! -
Nope, no single pegging and it doesn't chirp around tight corners anymore. The only time I can feel it bind up slightly is full lock, reversing out of a parking space. Even at its' worst (when it was nice and fresh), it was still nothing like trying to park the 32 with a button clutch and 2-way

LOL easy tiger.. she was stone cold

Yeah only as a passenger though, got a trip to Malaysia in a couple of months to play paintball Finally watched the vids, nice work!

Could have at least spotted me driving

Heaps cheaper, I got the tensioner for just under $40 and the idler for just over $40 (trade price).
