  1. And? I was just pointing out that Nissan HAS done something like that and they wouldn't have gone to the effort of it without good reason. I'm just a designer, not an engineer but as a designer I have to take into account HOW things are made and you certainly wouldn't make your casting any more complicated that it needed to be.
  2. Should organise a movie night SeanO, we can all sit around with the lights off quietly watching pr0n movies..
  3. Ever seen the inside of an RB26 plenum? There are spiral embossed grooves (for want of a better term) leading to each runner..
  4. Awesome! Cheers for that The duty seems to be somewhat variable through the midrange so will probably start with increasing the duty in the top end, see how it goes, then look at shifting the transition more to the left (Neo was the same with the axii being rpm vs load).
  5. Got any more info mate? I was looking at the base Neo maps the other night and there is an editable Boost Duty map.. I don't have the stock solenoid setup anymore but my mate does so was going to see what altering those duty values does, any advice from your previous efforts would be helpful, PM if needed
  6. You can do it with a 3" 45deg bend, a straight length of 3" pipe (couple of hundred mm long), 2x 3" straight silicon joiners & 1x 2.5"-3" silicon reducer. Mine is welded but you could just use a silicon joiner to join the bend and straight bit. It is currently off getting a 2" bov return welded to it but when it comes back I'll take some pics
  7. I am in no way condoning illegal countermeasures. I will offer my assistance in setting up surveillance systems though http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/373021-secure-your-skyline/page__view__getnewpost (members only section post)
  8. Particularly trying to do it annonymously..
  9. Yes, remove the hella dark tint. Yes, secure the pod filter - if it's not secured they were within their rights to defect you for it. Hell, I've been defected for a stock bov! Making a couple of brackets by cutting strips from a sheet of ally isn't very hard. And yes, it really does depend on the inspector you get on the day.. when I took my 32 over with a fresh RB30DET (hadn't changed numbers yet) I think I got the best possible inspector I could get. Yes the engine was a whole litre larger but it only had a little RB25 turbo on it and looked pretty well stock under the bonnet. When he handed me the keys back he said "thanks for that, I _love_ skylines!" I passed with height/damper adjustable coilovers, whiteline swaybars, adj. castor & camber bushes, full exhaust with a shitty cat, pod filter (bracketed down), button clutch, 3L, ebc and some other stuff. The only thing I didn't go over with was my 2-way diff as that would have been a deal breaker!
  10. Maybe paintball guns with Koolmints in the hopper but I was thinking something a little more persuasive Afterall, it's pretty hard to steal things when you have no fingers
  11. I just drop 2nd off the line They tend to only get really upset if you lose it and keep your boot into it. They would probably more impressed (and more likely to let you get away with it) if you use your weight transfer to get it sideways, midcorner clutchkicks + losing it and keeping your boot into and doing a big skid will get you thrown out pretty quickly
  12. Fast Acting Vigilante Squad? CALL THE FAVS THEY'LL SORT EM OUT ^^ I reckon it's catchy
  13. Talk to Steve May as I reckon it will be well cheaper than 6k. There will probably be a bunch of stuff that you should do before you put it in for peace of mind though, I would be inclined to do timing belt/tensioner/idler/waterpump and all the vacuum hoses. You probably sell the current engine to recoup some of the costs too.
  14. I got one too but it's 22Mb
  15. For a plumbed back setup put the catch can inline with the exh. cam cover and the intake. i.e. the breathers go intake cover > exhaust cover > catch can > intake pipe (between afm and turbo) If you want to have it *reasonably* maintenance free then you need to run a 2 stage system with a catch can and then an oil/separator which is then plumbed back to the intake pipe.
  16. Was hard to tell if there were any internal bad noises with the way it was running.. Email [email protected] about a replacement engine and then hit us up for a hand to swap it over
  17. Sweet, hopefully there are more positive responses! I bought her a camera and got her into paintball photography which resulted in me being able to play as much ball as I want.. now trying to do the same with motorsport She has a page on stalkbook if you want to check out some of her photos: Scary Mary Paintball Photos
  18. A mate has a blown Torana that I didn't get to go in last year because he snapped the crank I'll probably just be going to help change tyres this year and get a heap of footage. Also planning on bringing the mrs to take photos and do something similar to what she does with paintball.. after every tournament teams can buy a disc with all the photos she took of them. Would you car type people be interested in something like that? none of this $5-10/photo shit but something like $50-75 for a disc with maybe a hundred odd photos of your car..
  19. It's never ending! Got a machinist mate to knock up a low profile breather fitting and even that still doesn't fit! Probably going to have to go back to stock covers/breather fittings
  20. R32GTSt are 280mm rotors. R33gtst and R32GTR are 296mm rotors (IIRC 32GTR is 2mm thicker). If you try to run 280mm rotors with calipers meant for 296mm, you will have a bunch of pad hanging over the edge. If you try to run 296mm rotors with calipers meant for 280mm, you won't be able to bolt the caliper back up.
  21. Very big winner, I reckon the setup is just as good as the Brembos on my mates GTS4 but without the multi-thousand-dollar pricetag FWIW, I run RDA slotted stock size (Z33 rotors) on my Stagea with Greenstuff pads and it stop pretty well for what it is but the setup on the 32 is leagues ahead. Edit: the setup also JUST fits under stock 34GTT rims, there was like a bees-dick between the caliper and inside of the rims but it all cleared.
  22. Well the saga of shit that doesn't fit continues This time it's the new JJR dump/front pipe.. it won't bolt to my cat back so I've had to send it off with chuckie to get a 3.5" flange welded on the end.. I'd just finished painting it up all nice like when I realised
  23. Might aswell NIStune it instead of remapping every time you need a tune..
  24. This is the setup on my 32gtst, it's cheap yet very effective.. -DBA4000 33GTR sized (324mm) rotors -R33 GTSt calipers on dogbones -Ferodo DS2500 pads -BMC stopper and braided lines
