Heh, certainly NOT Toorak, that is for sure! (Damn Man! Can you imagine owning a hectare in Toorak - retirement here I come) Thanks for the hints on springs guys. Just changed it to a Poll. Hey! The option was there, why not use it?
-
Oops, yeah sorry it's 9.6km's per Litre. 9.6 Litre's per Km would be a definite concern
-
Yeah, funny actually. When I fired the car up after doing the fuse thing, the fuel screen said 104km's to empty. Now, 160km's later it is showing 74km's until empty!

Tony aka NRVOUS is trying to tee the re-maps up with his tuner. Read more here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4261862 That is what I am waiting on. Price too obviously. I have an eManage Ultimate with Universal Harness sitting in my Garage atm, but I like the idea of the Stock unit re-mapped. Regarding suspension. What difference would aftermarket springs make if the shocks were worn? *dumb ass question I know, but still...*

You could look at the QFM A1RM performance pads (~$190 F&R from jetpilot1986). Have a set on order and have heard nothing but good things about them. Can't recommend or not recommend them though as I have not tried them. Looking forward to though. Front pipe? You could look at a Kakimoto, dunno about prices with exchange rate so poor. You will need to keep the stock dump though as the Kaki pipe does not have a cat. It does give the Legalis a much nicer sound though

Thanks for the replies guys. Didn't take it as a mark against the Bilsteins. At all. Ever. R33 GTR Brembo upgrade? Pics & thread please (much cheaper than Z33's Brembo's) Are you looking at the same exhaust combo that NRVOUS has? There are heaps of cat back's out there. Thanks for your 2 cents mate. What you say makes sense, and yes, I am a spirited driver - when I don't have the wife or 95kg's of dog roaming around in the car. Only issue is that with my exhaust combo, the piping sits about 1/2" lower with stock ride height. Subtract another 1" and the speed bumps on my way to work look pretty scary. Ditch the mower idea? But I will be living 1 minute from the Speedway. .... and I always want more poke

Yeah I did see it. I was actually saying to my mate that the suspension should have been first (did you see all that body roll?!?)... but why didn't the F1 Honda wing do anything? I can't believe it!! (actually I can, excessive rear down force on a FWD street car has never made sense to me - gotta love those Honda boys with their GT wings) hmm, a vote for the ECU from a Bilstein owner... interesting Cheers, Andy.

Wow. perhaps if you took your blinkers off you would see that of the VIDEO GAMES machines, the Nintendo Wii has, and continues to outsell both the xbox and PS3 around the world. Why? Mass market appeal. Anyone can pick up a Wii-mote and play. Or jump on WiiFit for some entertaining excercise. You obviously don't think that the Wii is "gaming" as you put it because it's graphics engine can't stand up to xbox or PS3. Imagine, if you will, that Nintendo decided to make it's machine as powerful as the PS3. Would that make it a "gaming" machine to you or is it just a fad because you don't sit motionless on the couch with a 10+ button controller in your hand? What if COD5 was on wii, had the same graphics as 360 or PS3, would it be a "gaming" machine then? I will save you the effort of typing it, NO I am not a fanboy. I have been gaming since the Intellivision and own too many consoles. Nintendo have clearly taken the next step in the evolution of gaming by actually incorporating physical movement into the gameplay. Unfortunately, gaming evolution usually only takes the form of graphics/sound (see xbox -> xbox360, PS1 -> PS2 etc). Maybe with their next machine, Nintendo can up the power significantly to give the "gamers" the graphics they "need". Also, you mention profitability with cross-platform games. Which gaming company was the most profitable last year? I will give you a hint.... they only make games for a fad machine, and have been doing so for 25years.

LOL. Thanks for making my decision so clear! I would love to see the golf cart, sounds ace... Now if only I could get in a good round of WhackF*ck this weekend... Yeah, it runs as rich as Bill Gates at the moment. A tune would be great. Been joking with the wife about goats as well... May cause a bit of an issue with my dogs though.

Quick question as I can't decide. My next mod is going to be the last one for a while, so out of the following, which should I do and why; 1. Suspension - (New) either Bilstein, Nismo or Kenstyle (although they look a little soft) 2. Brakes - Z33 Brembo's (lightly used) - front and rear calipers, pads & rotors 3. ECU re-program (not sure about price, but should be cheaper than option 1 or 2) and possibly (again, depending on cost) larger custom front mount 'cooler 4. Nismo bodykit - (not a priority atm, but would look ace in Peal blue with my rims) Currently have; 3" dump back exhaust HiFlow turbo Nismo LMX5 rims 1. Suspension - stock - a bit floaty and allows body roll 2. Brakes - stock 3. ECU - stock 4. Stock RS body - no damage (except for a couple of small dents on the roof - a large tree branch fell on my car ) Or should I buy a ride-on mower? 1.1ha (2.8acre) is a lot of area to push mow.

I would agree with your guestimate. Having had mine to ~195kph (or that's what the speedo said anyway), there was still plenty left. I would be VERY surprised if mine could not hit the 250 mark. Just make sure that your suspension is good and the road is smooth....
-
hmm, not sure if I want to do a reset Whilst I haven't been "pushing" while driving (but not holding anyone up either), the fuel screen is currently showing an average of 9.6L/km over the 160km's since yesterday morning. Not really driving that much differently, and yes, I am driving the same route to and from work.

Price details for M35 Nismo, PM? -
Knox Autos = 4 speed box only at present. I spoke to them and had to explain what the car was, let alone get a price on a shift kit. unless they can get hold of the MV kit, I suppose.

*Just in case this happens to you* So I was looking at display houses over the weekend and everything was fine on Saturday day & night. Sunday the traveling starts again, but this time when I start the car, none or the gauges work! No fuel No speedo No tacho No temp = no good, especially in this revenue raising state Anyway, drove it as was (no choice) and noticed that me economy screen was only showing *'s and all data was lost. Starting to get concerned at this point... although the car was still running really well. Got home late arvo, did oil change and looked the car over. Nothing. Nothing loose, no blown fuses, no visible issues of any kind. Still no working gauges either, and now the engine light has come on! Jumped onto G35driver and found a few threads pointing to speed sensor which is linked to ABS etc, etc which may explain speedo & tacho, but what about the fuel & temp? Had another quick look this morning before work. Found the solution. Simply remove & re-insert all fuses (none blown) in drivers kick panel next to the accelerator (much easier to do with little Japanese fingers I would imagine). Turn key - everything comes back to life. Anyway, there ya go. Now I just gotta get rid of that damn engine light...

Heh, looks like I will be staying with the delay-o-box.
-
I stand (sit) corrected. So I guess they are not couriering it out to people in other states then?
-
unless they have created one in the last 3 months, they do not do one. Only for S1 & S2 Stags. If you speak to Mike & they do, please let us know. There are a few guys on here that would be very interested.
-
Why? Your Stag is already turbo charged is it not?
-
Agreed! Stance helps ALOT though. If you want to know about 'coolers and exhausts, check some of the other threads floating around. Both subjects have been (and are being) covered. In fact I think that there is a recent thread dedicated for M35 intercoolers. Have a look or do a search. Check with some of the sponsors *HINT* RMS Motorsport have GREAT prices and fantastic customer service. Henry makes everything very easy

Who Here Has Driven Both M35 And S1/s2?
iamhe77 replied to pixel8r's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I suppose if you were/are excessively cashed up, you could try to get a 350S complied... then put a twin turbo kit on it Damn. Work phone just rang and woke me from my pleasant day-dream.... mmmm.... 350STT... What else would you need?? -
Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing any RS's with beige leather, only black. Maybe the leather option was a colour-coded difference between the RS & RX?

My exhaust is a bit louder, but no where near enough to be a concern. I certainly is not what it could be. That is for sure... Perhaps you don't get the revs up for the crisp changes? (at around 5000 to 6,500rpm) Yep, seats are definitely better in the M35... Although I think the cloth seats are MUCH more supportive than the leather! Yeah, but I still say that you should spring of a full exhaust... Minimum of dump back (like mine). This will make the car soooo much more enjoyable yes. one day. -
Who Here Has Driven Both M35 And S1/s2?
iamhe77 replied to pixel8r's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Before I bought my M35, I was hell bent on getting an S2 (Still love the look). I finally got around to driving an S2 (only mod being a pod filter with CAI) in the wet and I gotta say that BOTH my wife and I could not get out quickly enough. She hated the pod sound (it was faaaarkin loud!), I was disappointed in the power - or lack thereof and I thought the handling just was not crisp enough. It had leather interior and Xanavi screen which were nice. I must say though, that I tried out the tiptronic and was not impressed by that either! Don't really know what I was expecting, but it certainly did not live up to my expectations. On the flip side, I saw my M35 online and after negotiating, purchased it "sight unseen" and had it shipped to me. My wife and I still BOTH love my car. She loves the style of the interior (but mostly the leather, elec & heated seats) and how quiet it is when the windows are up. I love the power delivery, aesthetics and the interior almost feels like it "hugs" me when I get in. The interior build is fantastic and feels "complete" (don't know how else to describe it) My ride is a bit floaty at the moment due to worn shocks, but 60,000k's ago, the ride was very comfortable and could handle quick changes in direction. I agree that the transmission is not "all that". I am not sure about yours, but mine has similar changes to the S2. When I am under heavy throttle, I find that the changes are pretty quick but the tiptronic just does not do what want, when I want. I just forget about the tiptronic these days... too frustrating. I know you are after a comparison, but I don't think you can compare them. I would buy another M35 without hesitation if I needed to. If I didn't have my M35 and you offered me a S1 or S2 for free, I would sell it quickly and cheaply to put the money to getting another M35. My mate also has Nismo suspension, it really changes the car's dynamics and is still very comfortable to cruise. Haven't tried the Bilstein's yet, but I am told they are just as good (maybe better). Maybe if I was in my early 20's again, the S1 or S2 would appeal a bit more, but I think that for the money you cannot get a better hauler than the M35. Maybe I am just getting older Or.... maybe that just means I have more money for mods EDIT: Nope. Just means that my money goes to other things, like mortgages, bills, food, dogs..... -
Depends, Turbolight is a semi-synthetic oil. Having said that, I found it better than the Motul 8100, though no where near as good as the Amsoil, let alone the Motul 300V.
