  1. Is a 2003 (before November) NM35 too old?
  2. Was the M35 before you an AR-x? Strange, but the stock boost for an RS Four is 10.8psi (mine was at this number before the exhaust - 0.8bar). The guys that have AR-x's have said that they show ~15psi stock!
  3. :laughing-smiley-014: Believe me Alan. My 2001 RS Four would be a mighty upgrade over a 2006 ford, let alone a 2008 model. If you are in the Mt. Eliza area during business hours of the Pakenham area any other time, let me know in advance. Even the Spare Parts Manager for Audi Australia was impressed with the whole car, but mainly with the interior. :laughing-smiley-014:
  4. You will find that most of the guys here that have M35's are located in the Sydney area. I believe Jetwreck has a custom 3" NRVOUS has a custom dump/front pipe with a Fujitsubo rear pipe. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4253896 mxfly, I believe, has the same as NRVOUS KNG35M has a custom .... off the top of my head, I am sure there are more. Try sending them a PM (I presume you want to see the exhausts)
  5. Where in Vic are you? Do you need to have the later model? I can show you my Stagea if you want to get some idea of what they are about (if you have only seen them online). My question was directed at Ryan because I was to extend the same offer to him...
  6. * see Goldzilla's post * It is there to give the driver a better idea of where the passenger side corner of the car is. Very helpful at times.
  7. Why not just take it to Nissan? Ask them to put their special "satchel" in. It does make the transmission even smoother. You will need to utilise the art of persuasion though. It should only cost $250 for the full service & satchel. If the transmission is operating nicely, why do you feel the need to have it serviced? Nissan actually do not recommend our particular transmission serviced at all as they are designed to be "maintenance free. That's not just here, but Japan as well.... apparently.
  8. hmm, I was of the understanding that your car had the VQ35DE. Or was that the other court case?
  9. +1 Very easy to do. 10. Do you mean the Axis or any model M35?
  11. You will find the details of Tony's dump & front pipe here; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4253896 If you want a JDM front pipe, Kakimoto are the only ones that make one.... no cat though.
  12. 32 No question (but I do love the 35!) Nothing like a car that was (is) so good that it destroys a countries premier racing championship
  13. Actually from my experience, there are some really good Nissan dealers who love to work on something different to a Tiida, Xtrail or Patrol. I remember when my NM35 Stagea first went up to Ferntree Gully Nissan, everyone downed tools to have a good ol' look top to bottom. They also provided excellent service, quick import & fitting of parts (passenger side wheel assembly in this instance) for a very good price... But only because I was quoted said price by one of the parts guys. Having said that, of the 5 dealers that I have spoken to & shown my car, they are the only one's who have been satisfactory. A certain dealership put 35km's on my car & decreased my economy from 9.1km/L to 8.6km/L. One dealership even has the gall to say that "because it is an import, they could only treat it as if it was a Falcon or Commodore." If you find a Dealership that has service guys that are more than happy to talk to you about an import, I would suggest taking your car there... Even if it is Aust delivered & even if it is a Tiida, because they obviously care about what they are doing. I guess my point is that not all Nissan dealerships are bad.... Just like not all performance garages are good. To the guys getting an Oz delivered GTR, I wish you the best of luck (I am extremely envious). Just remember that when you need parts, do not just look at Nissan Dealerships. To the guys that have or are getting JDM GTR's, I wish you the best of luck (I am extremely envious). Enjoy!
  14. Hey Adrian. Not a bad day all up. Glad you guys won best overall display! Much friendlier than some of the rude asses from Datsun/Nissan Who ended up winning your trophies?
  15. Any news is good new mate. Good to keep up to date. Thanks. Just asked because they said the last week in Nov or the first week in Dec. I guess he is getting a bit frustrated with how often you ask? 9th of Jan? Cool. So all going well, should be ready for download in Feb Here's hoping. Meh, it's not like my Stag is going anywhere anyway.
  16. Actually, I have the stock dump, Kakimoto front pipe (no cat) to Legalis R. Absolutely gorgeous sound, quite a bit deeper than just the Legalis from the stock front pipe (which is the setup my mate has). Not the greatest of shots, but you get the idea.
  17. hmmm, more than I have (just the dump cat & the Legalis muffler)....
  18. Sorry to Hijack the thread NRVOUS. Have you heard anymore about the ECU re-map? Do you have a dyno readout yet with or without ECU mod? Is the ECU re-map a Nistune re-map or something else (sorry if we have covered this, memory like a goldfish at times )?
  19. Bargain at anywhere from $16-25k. Whilst I ask why they weren't imported as well, I have to remind myself that they would have cost $60-80k if Nissan had brought them in. Do you think that they would have sold many Axis for $80,000? .....maybe if they were re-badged as "Infinity", the naive Aussie public would have bought them as a luxury tourer.
  20. Yep. If you mash the accelerator the computer will take a second (or 2) to Think. Select. Engage. It is due to the drive-by-wire. The key is to squeeze the accelerator... and plan sightly in advance where you want to go and who you want to pass. Try taking ~2 seconds from "no foot" to "foot to the floor". I think you will find it is more responsive that way (odd, I know). If I use that technique, I get some pretty good gear changes. Yes it seems that 1st gear was only there to build torque for 2nd gear, but I would disagree that it is "breathless". Have you opened up your airbox? Got a decent filter? Installed a 3" exhaust? MV Automatics do not do a shift kit for the M35 .... not yet anyway.
  21. You obviously haven't taken your Stag to Ferntree Gully Nissan then. They always give the interior a vac and wipe, as well as the "treating" the tires.... no rim cleaning though....
  22. I think you will find the ca/91006 on your dump pipe. Unfortunately I can't help you with the rest (1. Live in VIC and 2. "Original" exhaust has been thrown out when upgraded). Worst comes to it, you could always pick up a second hand one via Import Monster. I have seen them sell for $60AU (not including shipping of course). Sorry I couldn't be much help. Out of curiosity, which exhaust do you have that got you the defect?
