Sure, when my turbo was reborn, the car went back on the dyno with the original exhaust. It was a cool night and boost was limited to 10psi. Result 140awkw. Can't remember at what rpm and the machine refused to print the readout. Only went by the Plasma display. Looking forward to seeing the numbers with the new exhaust (& ECU).

Watching. Intently.

What is the part number? If the dealership you went to is taking their time, ask another one.
-
Maybe. Although I did fill up on Tuesday & am on par (combining kms travelled & on-screen est. distance till empty) to reach the magical 700kms this time. Don't know if it because of the dry air (Sydney's air is much more humid than Melbourne's) or just a really good batch of fuel (different servo), but I ain't complaining! Ooooh, glittery prizes. Is that the Spec R HG or is it the Spec V? Where from? How much? Been looking at them for a while, but was also looking at ARC 'cooler (is that my wallet shrieking in fear?).
-
True, however I used to work closer to the City & still got around 620kms before the light came on. That was crawling/stop start for a good hour on the Monash Freeway every morning.

Hmm, very interesting Dan. Who put it together & how much can you tow safely?

I believe that there 2 or 3 on http://www.importmonster.com.au at the moment. Both from dismantled NM35's if someone wants to throw away some cash and take the plunge.

Ford-land? You sir have just crossed the line! Actually find that the gears being the other way around (down = accelerate, up = decelerate) comes more naturally as you are pushing the lever in the same direction of G force. ie, When accelerating, G forces push you backwards into your seat, thus instead of fighting and pushing the lever forward against these forces, I would prefer to pull it back. I do believe that this is the general setup for non-paddle semi-automatics in the racing world (WRC, v8 Supercars etc). It just feels natural to me, as opposed to having to think about changing with the current directional setup. That is why a rarely use my tiptronic.

Bit of everything really. I live on the S.E. border of Melbourne Metro, so that means a fair bit of 80 & 100km zones, but it also means lots & lots of estates off main roads which = tons of traffic lights. General drive to work is ~60km and includes 100, 80, 70, 60 & 40kph zones, some pretty damn steep winding hills & 5 school zones. Unfortunately it also means that sometimes I am stuck behind trucks.... which means stone chips I presume that you guys are driving purely in the city to be getting numbers like that?

When I say overly restrictive exhaust, I mean that it was the compliance exhaust and including the pre-cat on the dump, contained 6 cats. That is damn restrictive. Boost was stock (max boost 0.8bar @ 3200rpm). RE Customs down here had it flowed. I have yet to ask them which company they took it to, but the turbo itself set me back just over $1k.... Unfortunately, since a do not have the means to do it myself, labour was on top. The unit I have in now has the exact same characteristics as the stock turbo, except that max boost is at least 1bar (that is as high as my gauge goes) at 3800rpm. There are two serious surges now - 2500->3200rpm (like stock) and a second stronger urge which starts from 3800 and does not ease up until redline Who is the tuner? Sounds interesting... may have to sell the emanage Ultimate... The most I have filled my tank is just over 76L. I DO NOT want to run it dry. Doubt it. I bought mine at 82,000k in April 2007 and am just about to clear 135,000k. I think I get pretty bloody good economy for the size and speed of the car. On average, 630-640kms for around 65-68L of BP Ultimate or Shell Vpower, although Ultimate does seem to go a little further than Vpower. As an aside, last week I filled up on Vpower and only got 480km's before the light came on... Not happy with cheatin' bloody servo...

Yep. Mine failed due to an overly restrictive exhaust. I had it high flowed using T3 internals. While I have not had it on a dyno as yet (soon!), I can tell you that it is much stronger throughout the rev range with hardly any lag over the stock unit (maybe a couple hundred rpm). I have been told that Hanson at Xspeed (HKS Pro Dealer) in WA installed a VQ25DET with a T04Z in an S15, I have yet to ask how it went. Apparently they were struggling to find many performance parts from HKS for it.... (tell me something I don't already know!!)

I am not sure what to recommend as I am only just looking at doing the lot. Having said that, the Hawk pad/DBA 4000 rotor combo would seem to be a decent upgrade and will probably be the way I go. (I was looking at EBC Red Stuff pads but I have heard opinions from many people which persuaded me to give them a miss).

Nice Axis. Very nice. The NM35 shares front & rear brakes with the touring version of the 350z (non-Brembo). Whilst I don't touch them with a barge pole, the Bendix part numbers are exactly the same front & rear for both cars (they also share front brake parts with the Maxima). Hope that helps. That is a very nice exhaust. Curious on the front pipe. Is it off the shelf or did Liverpool Exhausts make it? May I ask what they charged for the dump/front pipe combo? PM if you wish.

I presume that you are talking about the Evo there Jules as your M35 should be getting a minimum of 10km/L cruising at 120kph. On average I get 620-640km's before the fuel light comes on. That's with freeway (110-130kph), hills & school zones every day. Mods are 3" stainless exhaust from the dump, Hi-Flow turbo (max boost 1bar @ 3700rpm) & LMX5 rims. The screen has stated 8.8k/L over the last 35,000k's. Should get even better with Piggyback ECU.... I have found that if you accelerate quickly to a speed 10kph faster than you want to cruise at, then gently ease off and hold once you reach intended speed, you can achieve some pretty impressive economy with high speed cruising (should be able to hold ~12km/L @ 120kph).

Anytime a face reminds me of an incandescent light globe (read: bulbous features), to me there is a problem. Nice bod though! The car ain't too bad either -
That sounds rather positive. Since I got the "call back after Christmas" response, I guess I will take the wait and see approach to see what these universal kits are about.

Yeah, but we are talking about the "great" US.... I mean seriously, there were people saying that they don't trust him and that he will only look after his "own people". When the reporter asked who his "own people" are, the ignorant b*tches said "terrorists" because Obama sounds like Osama... wow. Also, I think that McCains issue is with his shoulders. While his arms are odd, looks to me like a rotator cuff issue (which would explain why he can't lift his hands much higher than his nose).

Not as yet. While the systems are in the country and are being installed. Their main focus is on the main populace - that is Falcodores, Magnas, X-trails etc. I was bumped back because they would have to design a custom system, and being that the Li systems are new, they want to get as many through the door as possible. I will call today if I get time to see where we are at. Maybe they have a system for the Maxima (VQ35) which could be adapted to the NM35.

Parking Ticket For A Silver Volvo.....lol
iamhe77 replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
This is correct. When I was a security guard, if anything was filled out incorrectly (it was all legal documentation - as a parking fine is) it was non-admissible. There was one instance where a former colleague of mine wrote down the details of car and description of the driver at the time of the offence (theft) and it had to be submitted in court. Unfortunately he did not give a matching description of the car and driver. The offender walked. As zei20l said, write a letter and perhaps make a phone call if a disputes line number is provided. -

iamhe77 replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Agreed. Since you don't drive a Volvo Jules, how could it be your car? -
If you are in Victoria and have recently had it complied, there will not be a plate. The details will be stamped on the engine bay somewhere.

Hey guys, I should have relocated the wiring diagram to this sticky a while ago... Better late than never. *NM35 Stagea is diagram N8-C on page 29* Yes Iain, the CVT paddles are quite sexy. Feel great too. Does anyone know if they will fit with an M35 Momo wheel or do you have to use the V35 wheel? Wiring_Diagrams.pdf
