    Turbo Rebuild

Weeellll, I took mine to be HiFlowed at RE Customs (only guys in Australia or NZ to have removed the turbo on an M35 Stagea without dropping the engine). I don't know where they sent my turbo to (somewhere in Dandenong), but it cost ~$1100 and now uses a T3 core. Add labour charge on top of that to remove/install. If you can do it yourself, just ask one of the guys at RE where they send their to. Can't hurt.
  3. OMG. Just you wait! I looked at a series 2 (with pod filter & exhaust) before I got mine, but left less than impressed (so did the missus). Got in my NM35... Addicted. Just want to drive it everywhere (and do). My Fiance looooves it - so does everyone else that sits in or is chauffered around Fits my (very large) dogs & suprises most (including that red HSV 255 R8 yesterday in Berwick - man was he pissed )
  4. Nothing wrong with the economy on my NM35 RS Four. Even with a HiFlow turbo & 3" Dump back exhaust, I average 8.8km/L with lots of hills, 100km zones & school zones on my daily to/from work route. I have not installed my Emanage Ultimate yet so I will see what gains can be had there (aiming for ~10% economy & ~20% power increase). Most of the guys that have the ARX seem to have poorer economy numbers. Don't really know why.... Usually get around 650kms then the fuel light comes on. Not as good as the V35 CV8, but pretty bloody good for a heavy turbo wagon with TONS of space.
  5. Google is my friend... It was the 6th page down on my search, although I can't seem to find it now Black colour coding looks much better than white (black is "slimming" remember). Now where did I put that pic... Rain + NM35 Stagea = Light rain + NM35 Stagea + hilly, twisy road = When are you getting the Haltec installed? Did you say it was the Interceptor?? I have been told by a turner that he has improved economy by ~10% & power by ~20% with the Interceptor.
  6. All I can say is... ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!!!
  7. Black & white for sure - nice contrast... but you gotta colour code the grey ARX "beard". Done the turbo, exhaust & rims, got the ECU (Emanage Ultimate), dreaming of the CV8 with paddle shift, swaybars will be by the end of the year, can't do suspension until I move into a house without a rediculously steep driveway.... *Is that my bank account I hear screaming?* btw. Did you get the wiring diagram you needed for your Haltech? (in the workshop manual thread if you haven't)
  8. Yeah, and then the bug will bite and all you will want is an exhaust... then suspension... then rims... then.....
  9. Sounds like mine on idle Not revving though. I have a muffler....
  10. Brett, as someone who drives at safe speeds, I think I can safely say that most motorists should be entitled to a piss & moan about speed limits. I mean really, how is it fair that on a straight stretch of road near me, 2 lanes each way, can the speed limit vary from 100 to 80 to 100 to 780 and to 100 again? There are no houses situated on this road and it is a pretty smooth road (for Australian roads). Or how about this? A dirt road has a limit of 100kph, but as soon as that road is sealed, the limit drops to a maximum of 80kph (or 70kph as was the instance with North rd in Langwarrin)? Princes Hwy in Pakenham is another. It was a 90kph zone until they decided to put an unmarked camera there... 2 days after installing a variable speed limit dependant on time of day. It can be 80kph, 70kph... Even down to 50kph! This is a dual lane Hwy!! Yes there is a school nearby, which is fine if the lower limits were ONLY enforced at school pickup and drop off times... Speed limits in Victoria are a rort. How can the same 80 zone be deemed a safe speed for an 18 wheeler as it is for a lotus? ..... rant over .....
  11. Congats. Can't wait to see pics. Totally different league to the S14....
  12. Nice Andy. Very clean. Those Bilsteins make all the difference to the AR-x. btw. Did you see the Nismo exhaust in Import Monster? Went for ~$420 delivered!!... and the Kakimoto for ~$360 delivered!!! .... why does this happen AFTER I buy my exhaust
  13. I have attached a Apexi wiring PDF for Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Subaru, Suzuki and Daihatsu. Hope it helps. NM35 Stagea is diagram N8-C on page 29. If the attachment is not working, PM me with your email address & I will forward it on. Let me know how you go with the Interceptor, dyno sheet pics would be great (and a list of mods). Can't wait to see what these cars are capable of... wiring_diagram.pdf
  14. Yeah, the colour was the only thing I didn't like when I bought it... But opinions change with time... The colour really works with the LMX5's as well (when clean). Would LOVE to get the series 2 (or is that 4??) nismo kit for it... Would look great in the pearl blue
  15. Will be there around 9pm. Unfortunately I can't get there any earlier than that.
  16. If you are looking for an M35, talk to Ben @ Northshore Prestige. I bought mine from him in April '07 and he and Tony are still more than happy to answer any questions
  17. Maybe the only S1. I will be there a bit later, as will my mate. Here are ours (mine is the pearlescent Sky Blue). I have a strange feeling that we will be the only NM35's there, so we shouldn't be difficuilt to spot.
  18. Nope, no noise when it shudders. Just drops power/revs briefly. Having said that, I have had a couple of instances under full boost where it would sound like I have a hole in the muffler. As soon as I let up it goes away & doesn't come back if I get back on the power... weird huh? Would this be similar to what happens with yours?
