  1. Changed the engine oil over the weekend - ~4L of Motul 8100 EX-EED. Runs beautifully. Better than any oil I have used to date. Dunno about diff though. Sorry.
  2. Not yet chief. It has been ordered and "should" arrive in around 2 weeks. Power figures? I will try to get a readout with just the Hi-Flow turbo & semi standard exhaust (I has two small cats removed from the front pipe which left me with only the factory cat), then compare with the Legalis fitted. Hopefully I can grab a reasonable video & sound with the digi camera.
  3. Actually I have been quoted $1400 installed for the Legalis R typeEVOLUTION (thanks for clearing that one up for me Andrew). It is a "first cat-back" exhaust and for an additional $600, I have been offered a custom dump & Hi-flow cat. Gotta say man, there is no way in hell I would be spending $3k for an exhaust (hence the reason I did not go Nismo - although that would have sent me back more than $3k).
  4. Yep. Only 98 and only Vpower or Ultimate (I had to have the old skyline's fuel system replaced due to some dodgy Mobil Synergy a few years ago). Generally get 10.6L/100. My daily drive has it all, 2 steep hills, 4 towns (each wih schools) and highway (avg 120kph). When I drove the Great Ocean Road (Fun Stuff!) the first weekend I had it I started with a full tank and got 702km before putting in 63L to fill it up again (so about 9L/100km)!! Of course, this was with a totally stock car and I do like to have 40psi in all 4 tires. Will be interesting to see the difference when it comes back from the shop (Hi-flowed turbo and Fuji exhaust).
  5. quote name='andy65b' date='25 Jun 2008, 01:47 PM' post='3970261'] interested in exhaust but do not want a loud exhaust, just better flow. maybe an impossible ask but I will try to find it. also cost is a factor as I would like to keep it in the budget. Cheers Andy Hey Andy. I am in the same boat... after my turbo decided to shed some "unwanted" ceramic... I am looking into the Fujitsubo exhausts as they have good flow and, according to the readouts on Import Monster, are not much louder than stock. I believe that this one is the REVO, although I may be waaaaayyyy off. btw. The turbo CAN come off without dropping the engine (without damage) - as was performed on my Stag at 8pm last night.
  6. Hi Chris, This may be a stupid question, but do you know if it is possible to get a G35 centre console (with Bose) into an M35 RS four V? Whilst the OEM Clarion stereo is nice, I would love to get me hands on the Bose system!
  7. Car is Stock as a rock. All hoses and lines are connected. Car is in at the shop at the moment and apparently nothing is jumping out at the guys with the exception being that is is only making 0.6psi of boost! Ever since I have had the car, the boost guage has only worked randomly. A new sensor was replaced at purchase, all hoses are clear from leaks and are clamped. I can't help but think that this is going to be one of those "Well mate, done all we can but we can't figure it out but. By the way, here is our labour bill" type deals... Quick thought... If you are going to design a turbocharged car, wouldn't you make the turbo reasonably accessible?
  8. Hey guys, Anyone know of a GOOD turbo repairer in the S.E. suburbs of Melbourne? The turbo on my M35 gave up last night. It just gave up! No smoke, just an odd sound then no boost. Being that I live in Pakenham & work in Mornington, around that area would be perfect.... ......although I would take it closer to the city if anyone knows of a particluarly good repairer.
  9. I would have to say Ferntree Gully Nissan also. Having taken my m35 a couple of times (passanger side front wheel bearing assembly and some other stuff I could not do myself like resetting ECU), I can vouch for their professionalism and they treat you as if your car is the most important on the planet (at least at the "new car service"... Don't touch the used car service guys). They are great on parts that need to be brought over (1 week for said bearing assemble) and will always quote a price and stick to it (new car service ONLY). Nothing but praise for those boys... no I don't work there. Also, I think that their awards were for being having the highest customer satisfaction from 2003-2006 for service globally.
  10. Isurance? Shannons. M35 250t RS Four V Stock (but factory LOADED) $25,000 Age: 30 Driving Record: 2 Speeding Fines (last 5 years) Cost: $63 per month for fully Comp.
  11. Robbie, if you want to know the "official" value of an M35, check out http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehic...s.php?id=111363 I have a 2001 250t RS four and I can honestly tell you that it is as close to a flawless a car as you will find (for the money, of course). It has enough power, great economy (I am at 9.1km/L at the moment - usually 680km each time I put in 70-73L), nice handling, HEAPS of great extras, Lots of room... Just an incredible machine.... Just make sure you get it in leather. Really tops it off. Best of luck Mate.
  12. Congrats on grabbing an M35. I was interested in reading and comparing with my 250t RS four. I don't know if it is the same with the Ar-x but I have found that the car tends to stiffen up and hug corners the harder you drive? My interior is the same but in black leather.... Lots & lots of options. A friend of mine's neighbour is the parts & service manager for Audi Oz who was VERY impressed with the build quality, interior, options and power.... Let alone the price! He just could not believe it!! Being that your exhaust is stock, is it the same diameter throughout or, like mine, does it change from 2.5" to 3" at 4 different points? P.S. I have had mine registered for the last 5 weeks. Just wondering how many others are out there and where they are... I will be very interested to see what Kw increases you make with in intake/exhaust mod. For body & stuff check out http://www.impul.co.jp/products/complete/m35.stagea.htm Enjoy it mate (I know you already are).
  13. Here you go guys. 1 pic is from the Ocean Rd. The other 2 were taken tonight (it is a bit dirty at the moment).
  14. Just been from Melbourne to Warnambool via the Great Ocean Road and back via the Highway on 1 tank. Odo said 702km's. I typically get around the 600km's from a tank.... .... And before you ask, no I do not drive it like it is a Volvo....
  15. Hey guys. Correct me if I am mistaken, but aren't the post-2004 M35's a Low Emission Vehicle in Japan?
  16. M35 250t RS FOUR Pearl Blue Leather etc. Stock... for now, but still enough to leave a current gen WRX wondering what happened.
  17. Where in Melbourne are you? I will be picking up my M35 in about a week...
