M35 Headlights ? Are They All The Same Size ?
iamhe77 replied to Maddie's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Series 1 and Series 2 have different headlights as well as bumpers, grills and bonnets. All models (RS, RX, ARX, Axis) use the same headlights within each series. Yours is a series 2 (PM35 or PNM35)? I seem to recall that the 2004 VQ25det powered M35's are not registerable although this may have changed... -
Replaced with OEM bushes or aftermarket?
-
You didn't search first did you... That Stagea belongs to "Beregron"
-
From that clip, it sounds like an excellent investment for that exhaust.
-
Only the VQ25det "RS" models had this option. All other models had the integrated stereo which has proven a bit unreliable. Some "RS" models had a cubby instead of the gauges.
-
Yes, the "ring" inside the hole where you screw the brake line into the caliper

Two child seats definitely fit and there is room in between to put stuff, just not really an adult for extended periods. The rear can hold quite a bit and if the rear seats are folded down you can fit heeeeaaaaappps in there. As an aside, the reclinable rear seats make installing child seats firmly quite easy. Just lock the seat and belt in position with the seat somewhat reclined, pull the lever and push the seat up. Bingo, solid child seat install. Then just attach to the anchor points as required.

It is also Easter Sunday and is quite common for family get-togethers. This is the reason I won't be participating.

Not eBay, but fairly rare. NM35 Dayz front bar Pretty cheap too!

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
iamhe77 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I am not sure it would be accurate if you are basing it off my install. The reason being that we first tested it on my PNM35 with V36 headers and aftermarket Z34 de-cat pipes which didn't marry up with the OEM V36 cat-back on my car. Then the V35 Berk HFC's were modified and made to fit. I reckon that the V35 and V36 y-pipes would be interchangeable if using the OEM headers and cats. I did have the V36 y-pipe and exhaust on my PNM35 with OEM headers and V35/G35 Berk cats. After the y-pipe? Can't be sure, but since the V36 y-pipe bolts up to PNM35 cats, I would be surprised if it didn't fit the rear section as well. Do you have access to a cheap V36 y-pipe? If so, why not give it a go? If not, you could just get a cheap stainless V35/G35 Y-pipe off ebay or maybe an OEM unit from a wrecker? -
Pretty sure I still have a set here... somewhere in my storage area. I can double check on the weekend and possibly drop them off at Scott's on Saturday. Wait, '06 M35? So a RWD PM35? Nevermind, these are off my old NM35.

Of note, Series 2 M35's don't come with a single DIN stereo. As such, you would need the double DIN interior pieces and either a double DIN unit or the possibly the single DIN cradle from a series 1 M35 as well as as the double DIN interior pieces for the series 2- not that I have seen anyone do this conversion as yet, but I must say that I quite like the idea...

Screen / reverse camera was a factory option for M35's. Bluetooth was not, but can be implemented a number of ways - new stereo being the most expensive, Grom units are cheap and run flash drives for music although they have do seem to have considerable echo during phone calls, or you could just get a generic bluetooth unit as you would with any car that does support it). If your budget is anywhere under $25k, go with the PNM35. Much nicer car and if you do need more power than standard, you can throw some cash at it with a bolt on turbo/SC kit I suppose. The only alternative I really see for the price would be a VE wagon.

Why do you need to import one from someone in the Brisbane area? I am in Vic and my M35's came from 1. a car yard in Sydney (Northshore Prestige) and 2. an Adelaide based import agent (Iron Chef Imports). Both were excellent condition cars and both provided "after sales" service for any questions.

I went from NM35 (2.5Lt 250t RS Four) to PNM35 (3.5L N/A 350RX Four). Yep. Both behave differently, but at stock levels there isn't a ton of difference in straight line performance. Of course, once intake, HFC and exhaust mods are on the 250t is obviously quicker and the powerband changes but the 3.5 is certainly no slouch. What I do find interesting is that the whilst the 3.5 is much, much, much more useful putting around under 3000rpm (it really wakes up north of 3500-4000rpm - adding 370z/V36/G37 headers really help build the revs), my 250t was outputting more torque at 3000rpm than my 350rx does. Performance aside, there is nothing that was inferior on the series 2. Overall, the series 2 is a much nicer car to drive and to own. Also, performance upgrades are incredibly easy to acquire if you are that way inclined. Of course, if you are referring to going from the VQ25det NM35 to the VQ25dd engine in an M35... you will be disappointed.

Older pics, but they are all I have uploaded at the moment.

I run 370z Nismo fronts all round (19x9.5 +40) with 10mm spacers, standard springs (I think) and Bilstein struts. They fill the guards very nicely and I have no clearance issues with the 245's although they do have a little too much stretch for my liking.

Uk Nm35 Owner Needs Help Sourcing Windscreen
iamhe77 replied to Mr lean's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Have you approached Nissan? They should be able to look up your VIN and order the correct windscreen (if it has cold pack option etc). You may need to find the "right" dealership though. We have some over here that won't touch imports, but the majority are willing to take our money. Even better would be to grab the part number from the website below and ask for a price on a specific part. http://nissan.epc-data.com/stagea/ EDIT: actually, the part number for the glass should be one of these: http://nissan.epc-data.com/stagea/nm35/6838-vq25det/body/720/72613/. Just go by the production period and whether you have the cold pack or not. -
Also will need to replace the stock cat, so consider a front pipe/HFC combo.

I am looking to loan/rent M35 roof racks and storage canopy for a few days in March if anyone has them, not using them and is okay with such an arrangement. Cheers.
-
Interested (whether that means I have the time or not is another story!)
-
Very interested to see the culmination of all the playing and experimenting. Hope you guys ultimately achieve that goal. Would certainly make me dream of owning a turbo M35 again...

iamhe77 replied to stevennnree's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I actually thought that $150 was a reasonable asking price.
