  1. Does the Fury control the VQ25det cam timing or do you still need the OEM ECU in there?
  2. Hi Craig Discussion, yes absolutely, yet the only time I noticed you in this here thread was when you started shitpost-attacking Hypergear (warranted or not). Do we really need have this kind of BS on what is generally an informative forum? Leave the bitchiness to the kiddies on Facebook. Also, how would I know I don't like it if I didn't read it? Your logic is flawed mate. Oh, I know, perhaps type "Shit post attack" or "shit stir post" as the first line of similar posts in future and I won't read them Craig. Maybe others wouldn't be subjected to such childish finger-vomit as well.
  3. You can always buy it at auction. I had the opportunity of buying my NM35 back for $6k after it was written off. A little while later it went through Pickles and sold for $1600. Can't see why you couldn't do the same although it may be more trouble than it is worth at this point.
  4. That is fkn terrible. Arseholes. Nobody saw anything? Presume it is a write off?
  5. Can we save the bitch fights for Facebook of someplace equally full of useless shit?
  6. Pretty sure that even the old (now discontinued) AP Racing 8 pot front and 6 pot rear kit did not require a change to the BMC.
  7. Fujitsubo do a straight through option on their Legalis?
  8. That doesn't sound like any Fujitsubo I have heard under load. Does it look like it has been tampered with? Resonator still intact? Maybe the rear muffler has been gutted of the baffling by the previous owner?
  9. When you do the video, can you get a shot of the exhaust under the car (not just the muffler)?
  10. Why not use something like these? I am sure you could pick them up just about anywhere.
  11. To answer your initial question, My M35 Stagea came with 17x7 but I upgraded to Z34 Nismo's 19x9.5 The rubber I have currently is 245/40 but it definitely needs to be 255 or 265. The ride is definitely a little more direct, but certainly nothing bad (it is the family hauler after all). On a side note, it corrected the speedo reading at 100kph although I can't remember if the OEM tyres were 50 or 55. Just use this calulator to ensure that your speedo is still accurate
  12. Up to 90% of the gauge is considered normal? Crazy. I suppose that is like Nissan considering "normal" oil consumption of 2L in under 10,000kms for the original Xtrail. If my gauge hits half way, I take a long hard look at the cooling system... which only happened once on my NM35 and never on my PNM35. Surely 104 degrees whilst cruising is not normal. I never saw that whilst cruising in either of my Stags regardless of outside temps. Stop-start in the NM35, maybe on a very hot day, but cruising? I'd be looking at the cooling system. Get a bypass mod, dump the current coolant/water and fill up with new stuff. See how it goes.
  13. I have never heard a Fujitsubo get that loud. I ran one on my previous M35 with an intake & dump pipe from Scott as well as a Kakimoto de-cat front pipe. No chance in hell it hit 114db My current VQ35 under full throttle with only the headers attached, sure.
  14. Pretty sure neither of these are applicable in the Caribbean guys.
  15. Same as any other VQ. Nismo/Veruspeed and K&N are the two that I keep coming back to. When I was researching oil filters years ago, I could not find many good things about Fram filters. Whether that is still the case or not, I do not know.
  16. Good stuff Beau, thanks to you and your mech for the read!
  17. There is no such thing as a Nismo grill, sorry. It is a nice fiberglass grill though and this style has been advertised on Yahoo Auctions for as long as I can remember. For reference, it generally cost around the $250 mark when new.
  18. Before anyone points to me, I haven't had any for a very long time. Sorry Matt.
  19. Belt change/tensioning or G35 Driver belt replacement and adjustment
  20. As long as there is flowing air (ie, not stop/start traffic) this is incorrect. Opening at a lower temp makes it easier for the cooling system to keep the temps lower although it does depend quite a bit on the rest of the cooling system. I have one on my PNM35 along with our "coolant mod" although I still run the standard radiator. Stock temps sat at 92-93 degrees highway travel in the middle of summer whereas in the current configuration, I see a constant 82 degrees in the same conditions. Once I hit stop/start traffic, the temps will rise obviously due to a lack of airflow until the thermo fans kick in.
  21. Holy crap that is a butt-load of corrosion on the stock thermostat!
  22. PM either Andy (Andy65b) or Craig (Jetwreck). I don't know if they are still doing them, but may be able to point you in the right direction. Original thread was in the V35 section: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194126-software/page-2
  23. Agreed, as do all of the transmission rebuilders I have spoken to. That said, it is possible to cool the trans fluid too much which is exactly what I did on my NM35 when I replaced the radiator which did not come with a trans cooler built in. I ran two external trans coolers (trans > PWR > Mishimoto > trans) which kept it a bit too cold in winter as did not have 5th gear for the first 25mins of my old daily trip to work. Conan, 220awkw is roughly a 65% power increase over stock. You don't think increasing the efficiency of your cooling system, which was only designed to manage heat generated at stock power levels, would be a worthwhile investment?
  24. That would be because they are all rehashes of rehashed titles that sold well. *sigh*
