Unfortunately the 24 Hour event at Winton over Easter 2010 has been cancelled due to a lack of entries, there was not enough to warrant running the event. We are extremely dissapointed, however it was a decision that has to be expected sometimes. It may be resurrected next year, my personal opinion is that the 12 Hour at Bathurst impacted on entries, but stuff like that happens.

Yes they are unfortuntely, maybe we need to look at this in the future. maybe over a long weekend instead. But Easter is such a good fit for this type of event.

We need more entries for the 24 Hour at Easter, even individual entries, not necessarily team entries. If it doesn't get off the ground this year it will be lost forever, local bylaws! The last time it was run was back in 1993.

2010 Winton 24 Hour Relay Regularity is to be held on, 2nd, 3rd and 4th April, 2010 at Winton Motor Raceway, Winton, Victoria. This event will be conducted on the basis of a competition between Teams of cars, the event being aimed at Club Level motorsport. The event is NOT a race, it is a regularity competition. Each team must consist of a minimum of 6 cars and 6 drivers or up to a maximum of 10 cars and 10 drivers. This event is open to all holders of AASA or CAMS Club Licenses and above. Entry fee is $2500 per team. I did some scrutineering up in Parc Ferme while the line was long. I was there for both days as well. We haven't been coming to the fun days, but we changed diff spec and wanted to test it out before the Sprint Meeting.

Did I scrutineer your car, or was it done under the roof? It looks familiar.

Yes I am part of that crew, but not the loud one, that is the guy driving (owns) the VL. It is fun, and yes it goes through a lot of fuel -

I reckon you are right, it doesn't make sense. I think there might have been a new person pushing the button.

It was a father and son team, which is even more disappointing. They were sent home before the end of the day, but probably not early enough by the sound of it

We have competed twice in the 6 hour, the Alfa Romeo Club of Vicotira run and they have a webpage set up for it (see: AROCA 6 hour webpage You need to have between 3 and 6 drivers and between 3 and 6 cars. Entries as filling fast so you will need to get your stuff ready quickly. Teams already who have laready competed will get a priority with their entries. The cost is $1300 per team plus $10 per timing transponder, each driver needs their own transponder.

It was "good to see" you weren't there if it bothers you that much.As the former Clerk of Course for the event, it is bloody hard to police, there are heaps of wankers who stand and listen the drivers briefing then choose the pay absolutely no attention to what you say. I thought they were a bit light with enforcement on Saturday, but none of my business these days. The whole idea of having heaps of cars out there is to slow everyone down (and it works) 80 cars and no-one is game to go too fast, too few cars and everybody thinks they are Michael Schumacher. It is a no win situation really. It has prevsiously been discussed about the groupings, but it wouldn't work out fair. Bottom line, the officials need to be tough early to sort the f**k-wits out, so that everyone has a good day, including the officials who run it,

If this is a standard car with a bonnet release in the car and a release under the bonnet to get the bonnet up, then it has 2 catches. If you still want a bit more, use a leather belt teethered under to bonnet to the bumper brakets or maybe the under body tow point some how.
