It did have a fair amount of crap on it, cleaned it a bit with some hot water and gave it a bit of a wiggle too.. It seemed like that was the problem.. Could a bad negative ground connection drain a battery over a few hours?

Hey, Got an electrical issue i think with my car (r33 gtst S2 sedan - auto). Was about to leave work today (Varsity Lakes), went to start the car.. starter motor just ticked like battery was discharged.. Tried jump starting (off a running car), left it charging for 10 - 15 min, wouldnt start.. So I gave up and got a lift to the Pub. Finished at the pub, Got a new battery (9cell 270cca, same as before but new), installed it. Power works fine in ACC (Stereo works), but as soon as I turn it to ON (Not Start) the electrics die.. turning to START does nothing. When i leave it on start, the negative terminal gets extremely hot after a couple min... im guessing a short Please, does anyone know what the problem most likely will be, or where to start looking?

Hey, Does anyone have a pic of what the R33 Series 2 headlights look without the outer plastic lens? I have heard that there are a couple of people that have done it with the series 1 lights. If you have seen them, what is your opinion?

hey, my ecu (r33 gtst s2) does not have the diagnostic port or screw (whatever it is)... it just has a hole... is this normal for s2 33's? It WOULD be the stock ecu wouldn't it?

Hey, Just say I wanted to turbocharge a VH41DE... VH41DE has CR of 10.5:1, I am guessing 9.5:1 would be better suited to turbocharging... Can you use shorter rods to drop the CR to 9.5? Would this actually increase displacement to roughly 4531cc? ((4100cc x 10.5) / 9.5) I am guessing I am wrong, but just want to know...

Not 100% sure on fitting, but I imagine they probably glue on with a good adhesive (maybe what you use when attaching sideskits?) but I will check. They will be made of fiberglass and you will need to have them painted (maybe I could organise 'pre-painting' matched to nissan colour codes?) We need at least 10 buyers before they will create them... (I'm not sure if this should be in group buys as it doesn't meet all the requirements for posting in that section.)

Hey Guys, Lady at work is having issues with her wrx (2001 model i think). Apparently feels like its gonna stall if you accelerate heavily from a stop (leaving a set of lights) and sometimes at idle. She took it to Subaru and first they said the whole turbo needs replacing (quoted $4000!), she talked to a turbo guy and he is gonna rebuild the existing turbo (for about $600 i think she said). But now they saying part of the turbo is in the cat and they're saying 3 weeks for the part. and the computer is displaying a Lean (fueling i guess) code. Questions: 1. Do WRX's have ceramic turbines (and fallen apart like some skyline owners have experienced?) 2. would this explain the stalling issue? and the lean issue?

Hey, I have been talking with a bodykit manufacturer about making some Impul Style Taillight covers (From the R33R Kit) for the R33 4Door Series 1. If I can find atleast 10 buyers, the price should be about $150 delivered. Here is the pic of them From the image in the link above, you can see the basic shape of the cover is: I have also asked them about making a slight modification to the design. Anyone interested?

I just emailed Robbie from WolfEMS. He said that if it is just a voltage signal (i.e. 5VDC) coming from the auto controller to signal shift, into the V500 AUX, it should be able to be configured to R&R...

But the original GTR wings wont fit on a sedan... I saw an r33 sedan the other day with what looked like a S14 facelift wing, will one of them fit? Also, someone suggested R34 GTT Wing on a 4DR R33. what about that?

I just ran the diagnostics and got 1 long flash and 10 short flashes the "The Sky is the limit" pdf document states this means: - Line pressure solenoid shorted or disconnected Could this be the reason for the problem? How do I fix this?

Hey, Got a major issue. My car will drive fine in 1st and 2nd, but once it gets to 3rd all it does is REV, it won't actually drive the car.... It is like its in neutral I know its a bit hard to say, but what could it be? has it happened to anyone else? what could cause it? Before you ask, yes there is trans fluid in there and its not low. Well, I got a $360 fine (or 6 days jail) and I am guessing the normal 2 points. There was a few mistakes in the statement the police wrote. They said that: 1. I said "Where did you guys come from, I didn't see you. There was a red car chasing me" WTF? 2. I was in the right hand lane at the intersection and I slid into the left lane - WRONG - I was in the LEFT lane. 3. I own a Nissan 'coupe'. WRONG - I have a damn Skyline sedan. 4. Due to me "co-operating" they did not tow my car... I wish they would make up my mind cos I was originally told that it is a piece of siht that he couldnt be fcuked towing...
