  1. @ sargeRX8 thanks yep I did try that, I got a half inch booker rod and high tensile 50mm nuts, 8mill steel plate, washes and cups and tried to pull it in.. with a pair of 600mm long 30mm spanners with silcon spray and tapping them in...added they had been frozen for over 24 hours.. but still.. bent the cups and plates, and one of the spanners, ran out of puff after I had bent everthing I had to take it to fulcrum to get them to press em in, even they had to hone the sleeves to make em fit. they spent 2.5 hours tryin to get them in on the press and charged me extra for it. I used whiteline bushes. @ GTSboy, yep couldn't agree more.. press in is the go. I guess if the car had been done before previously and the sleeves had been honed already you may get them in with a pull tool. but if its the first time, and they are whiteline items, you will need a press.
  2. another 10k down teh drain, when will it end?

  3. maybe I have a little trouble putting my thoughts into text, maybe ill leave the keyboard mechanics to the professionals
  4. gtsboy your clarification was not correct. flow is important, line size and pumps are also important, ecu and trim cannot fix baseline, the stock reg is not adjustable , and as scotty as rightly also pointed out, boost compensation needs to be taken into account also. thanks scotty, I remember now. busy life, busy mind. I was sure the op was doing some upgrades? I didn't realize we were trying to run stock power with large injectors. but sure GTSboy the stock reg will work great.
  5. yes your right, ID's are EV14's, but ID do modify them.
  6. I stand corrected - I was not thinking clearly when I posted that, let me clarify my meaning.. the stock reg will handle a stock fuel pump, and stock lines, and small - to medium - sized injectors. when you change flow rates/volume you will need to calibrate.
  7. FYI; Nismo 555's are Side feed, and drop in to your standard rail. yes you will need a reg, anytime you change your fuel system from stock, as you will need to re-calibrate the pressure. ID1000 or EV14 injectors are top feed and require custom rail/collars. sounds to me your pretty much doing teh same thing i did, on my first round of mods, with a very similar parts list. in which i have my old pfc and tomei z32 for sale atm, which got me up and over 500rwhp. as for the comment about the 1000's being cheaper, not true. sure the injector itself is but its all the other shit u gotta change that adds in the price, and will ultimately cost you more. the nismos drop into the stock rail/lines etc job done. the bosche 1000's need a rail, collars, custom sleeves machined, .. then lines, and fittings and a decent return.. and u still need a reg either way.
  8. your engine needs to breathe more, and dedicated returns to sump is a good place to start, if you piggy back that pipe you will reduce your head return and create more issues.
  9. oh one thing im not sure if it was covered, the longer or hotter you heat it, the tighter the wrinkles get, so if you dont want them too tight, dont heat it too long, or hot.
  10. u can also use a fan forced oven or a fan heater. good to see other people now doing this stuff.
  11. $900 for the PFC $350 for the Tomei Z32 or $1200 for both! go
  12. depends on how you do it. if you just left the casing in and used some dodgy solid setup then yes its easy, but if your doing a complete replacement including outter housing, its a kunt of a job to try to do at home. as I am finding out right now.. up to the part of trying to put the new ones in.. seems impossible looks like they can only be pressed in. left them in the freezer all night, thought id be able to heat up the housing, use grease and tap it in level with a sledgy, but no go..
  13. wow yea, I remember when I was around 50c o.O and ciggys were like 2-4 bucks a pack..
  14. getting the hp out of the car is only half the challenge.
  15. Chilton engineering are a machine shop. not engine builders. FYI>
  16. jesus, that's not too far from here . will keep an eye out, hope you find it.!
  17. bill's son david runs the shop now. and yes they are still going, and I hope they are going until im done with cars! they are really that good at what they do, highly recommend David at Chilton Engineering. Prices are fair and work quality is always top notch.
  18. absolutely brilliant. i was thinkin of doing this also with mine but there wasnt alot of people willing to try it back then and also time was an issue so i went with external. might have to re-visit this! less points of failure!.
  19. breakin the piggy bank again : /

  22. looks like my first post actually did work. Admin please remove this duplicate sorry. thanks
  23. Question for OP: would it be possible to order the crank mount/sensor only? or is it not worth the effort?
  24. really impressed. great work. really like the crank trigger setup, as for teh oil pump fitment clearence issues, perhaps thats why other setups are mounted from say the oil pan rail, rathern than the front of the block. I would be real keen to find out if its possible to create a disk setup that works inside of the stock CAS, essentially keeping it looking stock at the front. would hate to CUT up a nice set of 26 painted covers.
