  4. As topic states, Anyone used or has an Ace Exhaust manifold? any issues/ good or bad points?. Is yours a high or low mount? any info on those be great. thinking of getting one. Chjeers. jibbyjibby
  5. hang on. i thought we were talking about bringing up the torque curve, rather than making peak power at high rpm?. somewhere we have gone off track? .. If not.. ignore me and ill skip along down the road i came from.

  7. Cams? duration Lobe height. Intake Vs exhaust. If you have retained the RB30 stroke, wouldnt you need more duration and lobe height than what the standard Rb25 cams has? as the Rb25 stroke is shorter right? and could be closing too early. This is all very intersting to me cause im just doin an rb30 build for my rb25 now.
  8. I was thinking of saying the same thing, but i deleted it lol. yea cause my bro's vlt, torque dont drop off till probably after 3k and thats with a T03.
  9. its interesting how the torque starts to drop off at 2.2k, have you seen any other vlt dyno sheets to compare, maybe with the T03 on it. If my net wasnt so slow capped atm, id bother loading some of the Hybrid dyno results nice figure 300rwkw ftw!
  10. uhh. Ok. Im still learning the system myself. but i just found that if u have it too high, u will not acheive your desired boost. So what your saying is.. Your not reaching your desired RPM at high revs also?. also, regarding your first comments. My AVCR is a black model, and the first one i got was faulty. and i had to get a replacement. Now ive been told this isnt a common thing with them, but i guess your one could be also, did ya get it new or second hand?? Also regarding your last question, thats the basic physics of turbos isnt it? higher RPM's make more boost?. which is why u have setup high duty at low rpm, and less duty at high rpm. but say, what duty have you got at say 6k? mine makes the psi i need at only %54. did you get ur avcr new? or second hand?. Also might be where you have your actuator controller , mine is COM to Actuator, and NO to intake piping. after intercooler, im honestly just guessing crap now, i am still learning maybe if not any of this helps great. otherwise disregard good luck wid it mate.
  11. You need to turn down your duty. its way to high, if you have it higher, ur max boost will be lower, because the avc-r is controlling the overboost earlier and earlier. I have an AVCR also, you need to set it to like 52, then work your way up. Edit Add info. My mates R34 30k kms, so turbo is new. dont need much duty if turbo is new, if turbo is older, then you need to add duty , to make up for wear ie. allow turbo to work a bit harder. He had similar issue, but his wouldnt go above .072, and his max boost was set to 1.06 bar and duty to %86. so i took his duty down, to a flat line again, learned gear, then worked it back up from 50% duty. now it boosts to 1bar no problem . If your duty is too high, the AVCR will control the overboost. or possibility to overboost. You can turn this function off, or Turn the function down, so it doesnt control it as much, If you havea read of the manual it explains all this. cheers.

Ahh nice work chris!! :DD And thank you Plazmaman! checking out site now, *added to my to buy list I can see what people are saying, and they have a point, But you gotta bring something to the table, so say, if there is enough potential orders, then possibily the test R34 owner could get a free one. As a business, i doubt they are in the business of loosing money. So if i was an R34 owner i would definently be signing up to the list. of potiential buyers. And benifiting from one of those plenums. Just a thought.

Not joining the argument on which is best, But Just to add to the convo on pfc's making good power, seems the japanese tuners can make good power from them, as there is a Imports mag, i was looking at with a 1200hp drag skyline with a powerFC. I believe its in the top 10 list. ill get the mag and update this post.

  21. hahah i love it, 230 pounds lighter off, i guess so. lucky guys, just got a pair of gtrs . i noticed also the gtr's were not worked? or not very worked?, really impressive performance , even in stock form.

  24. Just wash car, then hit it with Mequires 'Wet Look', rub it in like a polish, then wipe off. seems to bring it up well.
