  2. so it moves, then has huge flatspot, then when revs pick up, its got some power but not as much as it should? Could be a few things, ignTiming, Cam timing, ECU map. I had a similar problem with my v8, and it was the cam timing. But i mean, i could be wayyyyy off, we are talking about 2 different engines id say take it to, all star performance(richard), or Xtreme Automotive(paul) on Compton road. let them drive it and see what they think,

OK cruising at 110, and giving it a bit, went just over the *4 mark. thought it Might possibiliy have something to do with the viscosity of the oil, so i did a oil and filter change, and now back to normal. now sitting on 4-6 So, Nulon Hi-Tech, fast flowing stuff, which is 10-40w, after 3900kms looses some viscosity which make the drop in oil pressure. maybe ill try new oil next time. theres gotta be something wrong for it to loose its viscosity only after that muc kms? or is this the norm?

    I was actually thinking abotu this a while ago, cause ive had to take my wheel off before, before going away. on my old commo. its a good idea. just as effective as a club lock. both have their benifits and solutions. ps. be weird to drive a car with some lock grips? lol
  11. Its because of the Hiflow, theres alot more pressure now then before with stock turbo, and the flutter is normal. My mates R33 did same thing after he got his hiflow turbo put on, VL turbos, didndt have blow off valves or intercoolers stock, and they fluttered all their lifes, and still drive around fine. so i dont think the flutter will hurt your turbo or engine very much at all. its fine. if u wanna stop the flutter, u just need a larger bov. But my mates left his stock BOV on, and its fine. no problems as yet, after 2 years of driving.
  12. Yep, agreed. its larger, colder, and maybe the new core is of better flowing quality. I know some one who has avl, they ahd a huge front mount already, and the car put about about 560 at the wheels., he put on this huge F*ck off cooler, of crazy dementions, and no shit, the car put out another 60hp odd. but response was out the window of course, but topend power was more. just cause the air colder = more oxygen. its a drag vl, so he didnt care.
  13. I did mine about 4 months ago, Hybrid 600x300x76, noticed about 40-50 more hp at the wheels., and better fuel econemy, etc. definently worth it.
  14. If the base HP figure is higher, the Results from these sorts of Mods, make more of a difference.
  15. if anyone is planning to do this, i have the stock R33 intercooler and piping for sale atm, for $80 ono. just pm me, its all in very good condition btw. Don't be fooled gents. its not only the compression factor, but the piston itself, the N/a pistons are not Hyperputectic. therefore, even with low boost pressures, after a while you will melt a piston. By all means, do this upgrade! turbo is 100% better effecient power, than most other mods. But do plan to change your pistons over in the near future.

  19. i got a rb30, same bolt in the end snapped, cant get a drill in to get ezy out in, not enough room, im looking at pulling the head off, to get mine out. Love to know how u get it out, if u get it out still in engine bay.

My opinion is just an opinion, It would seem very expensive to extract killer power out of an N/a. rb25. the cost of doing so matching say turbo results, would reflect the expensiveness i would imagine. also the joke could be taken as some friendly advice. as ive built some N/A motors, and wouldnt go past a v8 engine for N/A power/Torque figures. Maybe you could use some Nos to help. or drop in a rb30 block to help bring up the torque figures. But i mean, lifes wat you make it, follow your dreams.
