-
also saw 3 R35's...... but they are nothing when your looking at GT cars all day
-
I didnt see many around KL but there were heaps in the carpark at sepang, even a handful of farrari's (custom paint and bling) they have their own local D1 comp which i didnt know, had full dori spec S15 and hatchi on display (got a few pics) also had 3 hard tuned R34's on display (one with GT bodykit and full matte black paint) and a couple of R33's...........all GTR's mind you and a few EVO's, supra's, R32 Golfs and Lotus's all road going but pretty heavily modded, few caged, semi slicks etc..... could find any tuning shops, but i was mostly in the central KL area..... most car/bike shops are located on the fringes.

Went to see these badboys over the weekend just gone and it was well worth the money! The cars in the flesh are nuts and the sound of the R35 GT cars at full throttle is soooo sex! even tho they use the V8. The NSX's are another thing all together.....the 3.2L V6 screams like a banshee!! Cusco WRX and the RE-Amemiya FD also gave the eardrums a good old thrashing. For those of you use to the V8 supercars here, the GT cars just blew me away!! As for the circuit, we dont have anything in aus that comes close! If anyone gets the chance to go to sepang i thoroughly endorse it, the track and facilities are amazing.... anyways heres a few happy snaps to share with you lot...... SAU reprazent Xanavi on display Nissan Stables Team IMPUL Nissan V8 donk And another... Yellow hat action up the hill Xanavi Pit Xanavi qualifying run

i gotta move my engine only 1 suburb away, have already thought to borrow an engine crane and lift onto my ute but its an RTV and the arm wouldnt lift the motor high enough. Can anyone help me out with a hiab for hire or something? would greatly appreciate any help!
-
nah they not that bad, lasted me a few goes.... only thing is, your knuckles cop a good beating when the spanner tip wears.. heh
-

-

are new pistons neccessary or can u get away with just the rings and bearings internally? (taking 18-20psi) got a spare 20 that was breathing alot when i pulled it out a year ago and have gone thru another s/hand 20 (still going but breathing alot) so im hoping to freshen the first one up with gaskets and the above before it goes back in.

51 days to go and Excited 4 tickets for the whole weekend inc pit access only cost me 230AUD....bargain. anyone else decide to go yet?
-
the boots on the side of the box are torn to shreds but its been like that since i had it. seems worse the next day after a thrashing..... i find that instead of pumping to get more peddle, like you would with hydrolic problems, i just feather the "play" up top a few time and gets me going then its ok for driving... got me stumped.
-
just another experience to add..... same prob. had full wheel and tyre balance n align and everything was sweet except right front castor out slightly... (non adjustable) new adjustables fixed it....
-
my clutch is less then a year old, brand new booster fitted about 15mnths ago. no air in hydrolics (bleed) and plenty of fluid. i have adjusted the screw adjustment onto the peddle all the way out and its ok now but what could be the cause of this?? no slip and it gets a beating now n then but no track work by any means.... my uneducated guesses are: full quality fluid replacement? brand suggestion? small hose leak?.... but not dropping any fluid anywhere and pumping the peddle doesnt improve it. time for another booster already? (correct me if im using the wrong term) just for my info, do the clutch hydrolics share with anything else? thanks guys Iz

iz32 replied to R31Nismoid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
stock RB20 Hks 2530 @ 1.3bar (2510 rebuilt with garrett spec 2530 sized turbine) GTR injectors Blitz dualSBC EMS HKS dump into 3" zaust 2 mufflers no cat 600x300 fmic lil disappointed but the motor is very tired 289.4rwhp @ 6100rpm 384.6 Nm torque @ 4600rpm dyno sheet coming. -
if anyone else is thinking about it i just thought i'd add that its only $1500(ex perth) inc: air fares, hotel in KL (6 nights) and 3 days transfers to and from the event (tickets not included but are about $28aud each day....so im told) = bargain holiday AND superGT action on a quality race track.... for us in WA it works out cheaper then going to see melb F1 or indy. :PBJ:

Started planning my little trip this week I thought it was about time to witness these badboys in the flesh....cant wait to see the nismo GT-R so has anyone else thought about going? SuperGT Sepang
-
thanks! in reference to question one im asking about removing it totally to vent that side to atmo. didnt know if stock engine idle was reliant on it or it is simply a pressure vent back into the system.

using an aftermarket ECU is it still necessary to have the rocker cover breather plumbing back into the intake pipe (before turbo)? when using an oil filter relocation kit and oil cooler is it normal for the oil pressure to sit low just above the zero mark and on the odd occasion fluctuating up to just below the 4 mark but generally sitting in the low position? im guessing that what looks like a sensor plumbed in below the filter on the relocation kit is where the reading is taken can a leak in the turbo's bearing oil seal, feed line or high head pressure cause low oil pressure? or is it purely pump and fluid flow related? does water constantly flow thru the turbo or is it controlled by a water/engine temp sensor or a thermostat type setup?

Im in need of a replacement factory type-M front bar for the r32 gtst. i have tried the WTB WA section with no luck, rang and visited every possible wrecker in perth also with no luck, also googled then rang as many jap wreckers as i could around australia.....are they holding out on me or is it a rare bumper?? i thought it would be quiet common personally. So if anyone knows of one thats just laying about, has one on a front cut or has seen one in a wreckers yard anywhere in australia please let me know. any condition as long as its repairable (scratch's & chip's no prob...no huge gaping cracks please) and priced accordingly. Im currently in the possesion of a vertex front bar and the more i put it up to the car the more i want my old bar back. so Im willing to do a swap if someone wants that look instead, and even some sort of cash adjustment from me, within reason......? any help greatly appreciated Iz

is the HKS T3 exhaust housing identical to the Garrett T3? turbines aside..

sorry for another hijack but its R32 circuit handling relevant I fit the rear adjustable stabilizer bar tonite and tried both settings on a few different road conditions etc and on hard it made a world of difference (cusco 7kg front 5kg rear spring rates btw) im in 2 minds whether the front is neccesary now as it handles great. the front tires feel as tho they are being 'pushed' a little before i feel some oversteer coming on tires? ride height? (rear is a little higher then the front at the moment) should i try adjustable caster?
