  1. everyone here seems to be in either one of two thoughts 1. the driver shouldn't have be speeding and should have at least stoped to check up on the cat 2. the cat shouldn't have been there in the first place i agree with both points fairly, but the first point has more merit to it. it's hoildays, what if it had been a child? the government put 50kph zones in all residential roads FOR A REASON. at those speeds, it would have been possible to brake for it and maybe save it (or brake a few legs) or swerve around it all the rage has passed out of me now, so i'll just say this karma goes around and comes around don't speed. don't even accelerate hard. just because it's a residential road, doesn't mean theres no one around. and please please PLEASE take responsibility for what you have done peace out, and take care guys
  2. i agree with what people are saying if i had to choose between risking my life or an animal, obviously you come first. i would rather have the cat died rather than for the driver to go off the road and into someones house but the issue is that he should have had the decency to STOP, pull over and see if it was still alive, instead of hesitating and then driveing off would it have killed him to have compassion and see? i also own a modified car (but the day in question i was in a toyota yaris) so i know that it isn't the car or make, it's the driver. i know this is a respectable community, in no way do i intend to bring shame to your community, but i am not trying to make a hero of myself. because i did the right thing, i'm a hero? No, i'm just a normal person. i'm sorry to hear that you have had to experience someting that draumatic and harsh. i don't wish that on anyone, ever! but why should i have to bear the burden of soemthing that i didn't do? the decent thing for any driver to do is get out and see. what i am trying to say is, it really really upsets me that anyone could be so callous as to not even get out and check that an animal is okay
  3. yeh, i think i may just take notice of anyone hooning, as it's not the car, it's the tart behind the wheel i didn't really pay much attention to it. i thought, "yeh, his an idiot, better stay back" but if i had known, i would have gotten his plates down and reported him
  4. hi all, long time reader, first time poster never thought about joining, but what has happened today has really made my blood boil this afternoon, saturday 23rd sept 2006 at about 5pm 'ish on my street (Green street, noble park) some twits in a skyline ran over a cat "so what?" you say? the fact that before this, they were swerving like FCUK tarts all along corrigan road, merging in and out of traffic turned into green street and started gunning it saw a cat and slowed down for it (like they could), but after hitting it, decided to run off i was behind you the whole way, and i saw everything. there was even a witness walking on the path that also saw and was mortified. Silver skyline, R 33 with a small wing on the boot if i had gotten your plates, i would have reported you. my gf was absolutely traumatised by it, at such a cold blooded hit and run had to get out and see if it was still alive still breathing but died afterwards. blood on the road and my guess either a broken neck or internal bleeding moved it to the nature strip and went to find the owners JUST PATHETIC! so because it was a cat, it's okay to run off? i hope that karma gets you good, and that the blood on your front bumper never comes off i'm not gonna go and start generalising about skyline drivers. i know alot of guys with skylines and 180's etc and their all coool guys who do the right thing (and have a concience) but it's just disgusting how 1 person can go and totally change the way others percieve things i'm sorry, but from now on i'll be sure to pay more attention to any 'hooning' skyline i see and get the plates down end rant
