  2. <scratches head and wonders what he is doing that day>
  3. Yep - I'm keen to get out there again!
  4. Suppose to work that weekend at this stage but might be able to wrangle a day off to bring this out........
  5. Agree with Primo - My Autech Axis is getting spot on 11L per 100km round the city, last tank I even got 10.9L/100km! I drive it nicely but not like a Grandpa - obviously being a turbo it depends on how you drive it - if you boost it through the gears it'll use more fuel.....
  6. Yes I do - I guess postage would be around $30 or so IF it isn't too big for Aust Post It is a Greddy turbo timer - pic attached.
  7. I've had my d-jetro map sensors coming off the balance tube too, just put a vacuum outlet in where the PCV used to be and then had a T piece split the signal to both sensors. At the time I thought it wasn't such a good idea, but I have since had the engine out and drilled and tapped as per the Apexi install instructions and notice NO difference to the way the car runs. I would spend <$20 on the parts to install via the T piece method and save the other cash for the tune.......

  9. I've raced many different cars at Mallala - including a Hyundai S coupe (????? yep it was slow - 1:32 hehehe) but I ALWAYS had and have fun. one common theme I often hear is that people don't want to go out in their car until it is 'ready' or just one more mod till they are gonna go out - unless your brakes are worn out or there is something safety related, take it out!! If anything you'll have a great time, learn to drive your car properly in the right environment, and it will guide your choice as to next mods. Hell, the performance car game is full of '......I can't wait to get x , then I'll be faster/stop quicker/handle better.......' BTW I ran on Sat with a buggered coilover (seals shot, oil leaked out), and semis on the wear limit and out of heat cycles. Still had a blast as always though
  10. Funnily enough away for work - but back and into in August!!!
  11. The car is std weight still - in fact probably heavier than stock with the cage and extra coolers and oil on board. Running the spoiler on the rear seems to have settled the slide tendancy on the dog leg on the back straight. I want to aid canards to the front too - just trying to find someone who does them. I don't pretend to be such a great driver that the whole aero thing makes a huge difference - but it makes sense to me that it can't hurt and must be doing something to help out.
  12. Yep under no strain whatsoever (I was following my mates WRX to get some video footage from behind his car) it developed a ticking type noise in the engine. I thought initially it was one of my brake ducts working loose and rubing on my rim spokes - but it wasn't so I went for the precautionary shutdown and did the 'walk of shame' pushing the car back to the pits Sounds to me like it is a head related noise of some description - but I haven't ruled out something a little more involved......it is a GTR after all! I'll get into it early this week and see what I find.......
  13. Guys, Just did Mallala - did a 1:17:01 which I just couldn't make into a 1:16!!! Oh well! SAU Nickname: Blue32 Car Make and Model: R32 GTR Circuit Name: Mallala Lap time: 1:17:01 Modifications Engine: Cams, mild headwork, Pistons, Inj, matchported manifolds, T517z's Power: 400rwkw Suspension: Silk road crapped out coilovers Tyres: RE55s on their last legs Brakes: AP (front) std (rear) Body weight: std
  14. Pics for the masses............
  15. I was running a fairly worn out set of RE55s bridgestones on 33GTR rims - 255x45x17. Brake pads are street spec at each end, although I do have AP brakes at the front, braided lines and brake ducts too. I didn't have any issues with oil venting into the catch can - but I never have. I reckon it might have collected maybe 100ml over the course of the day (6x15min sessions). Can't wait to get out there again!!!!
  16. Was a wicked day - ran a 1:17:01 as the quickest, and no matter what I did I couldn't crack a 16!!! Was great to get back on the track again - Dstroy did really well to keep that beast on the circuit with all the sliding around you were getting!!!!!!
  17. See you guys soon!! Looks like the weather is a shower or two in the morning then fine!!!
  18. Go for Revolution Racegear or Autosport - but you can use ADR compliant helmets, which generally means you can use most if not all motorbike helmets.
  19. Sorry to hear Adam - I'll let you know when I am out next. I'm away a lot for work but I will go out at every given opportunity!
  20. With all this talk of pit crews - shall we have a pit stop challenge???? Should be able to change my 4 tyres and fill my fuel in around 15 - 20.......... minutes!!!!
  21. How about this - 3.5ltr V6 160kw, dual airbags, plenty of room and luxury - all yours for $6500..............
  22. I may have done a few or maybe (a lot) more laps around Lala - happy to help out if required!
  23. Challenge accepted
