  1. awesome - the more the better! Damo R34 is right - you self scrutineer, which saves a lot of time!!
  2. Thanks for your replies guys - I'll just keep on a button pressing until I find something that looks like a calibration mode or something funky happens and I get the Japanese warning up on the screen :-) I'm sure it says something about being too Aussie to operate this screen.........
  3. So you are saying it'll be ready for Saturday on the track????? :-)
  4. You obviously know these GTR's cost $$ :-)
  5. Bridgestone make these - if you want a good compromise for semis, go for the R888 by Toyo, cheaper than the RE55s and still quite a good tyre.
  6. As stated the cruise will DEPART the caltex at 0830 sharp - I wanna get there and ready for the first session (tyre swap, data logging ready etc) I rang Clem today - the first session will start at 10am and you will get 6x15 min sessions!!!!!! Hour and a half track time for $100 (plus $25 if day licence required) - hate to think how many 'road' kms that equates to........ I'll be using RE55s semis - but it is still just as fun with street tyres (albeit the lap time doesn't neccessarily agree or show 'fun'!)
  7. Just bought an M35 stagea and upon trolling through the japanese menus on the screen - I found the compass screen. Trouble is that the direction of the compass is incorrect by 60 degrees or so. Is there some way to calibrate it to be correct? Cheers, Andrew
  8. Hi guys - After work prevented me going out the track for the last track day - finally I am able to get out this weekend to get some laps down! I will be heading out in the GTR - 10am start and weather looks like it'll be ok. Anyone else keen? I'll be heading out to arrive around 9:30 am - if people are keen we can meet at Caltex on Pt Wakefield Rd around 8:30 to cruise out. Cheers, Andrew
  9. Just bought an M35 Autech Axis - very smooth to drive, plenty of go (for what it is, my other car is a GTR with over 600hp!), quiet, not bad on the fuel economy, and it is very luxurious for the $$ with electric or automatic everything. All in all I am very happy with it Andrew
  10. Very keen for this software when available - just nabbed myself a M35 Autech Axis to add to the family! Add me to the list too :-)
  11. Away with work for BOTH of these events -NOT HAPPY!!!! Should be able to make the track day though - still eligible for the comp?
  12. Well done to Kellie for organising the cruise - had fun even if I did almost have an R33 in my boot (I know you were just trying to conserve fuel by hitching a ride in my boot ) The RB symphony through the tunnels was awesome too.......
  13. Sounds like a great idea - I have always wondered the opposite, many many laps under my belt in various 4 wheel steeds but always wanted to take my bike out there. Had a Gixxer too - 98 750, but had to sell it a while back. Gotta get another one some day!
  14. Yeah - sorry Kellie, I'm sure it'll be acute tat
  15. What sort of angle? 90degrees? You know anything other than 90 degrees isn't the right angle
  16. what better way to do it than on the track!! Only one way to learn how attessa works under hard cornering.......
  17. This is a regular practice day for cars organised by Mallala Motorsport Park itself - haven't been for awhile but I believe it is pretty much an open track situation, and you could be on track with other competition cars of varying calibre, although there is no reason or requirement to 'race' these guys or each other, you can track at your own pace.
  18. Here is the info from Mallala Motorsport Park website: Mallala Practice day regs Pretty much just need an approved helmet and long pants / long sleeves. I would recommend an extinguisher in car as well.
  19. Itching to get the GTR out on the track again and thought I would head out on Saturday the 31st to get some more laps in after some 'changes' of late to the beast. I think entry is $100 plus $25 if you need a day licence - might be the last chance to get out there before the real winter weather sets in? Anyone else want to come out and exercise your 'line in their natural environment?
  20. Thanks mate - it certainly takes lots of both but the hardest thing is finding the time and PATIENCE to do it right first time. I was so itching to drive it all through the rebuild, walking in the shed seeing it stripped was hard. I think the defining moment was when I started thinking my Verada daily driver went alright and had a bit of grunt........
  21. Ah now it all makes sense Tim! All the cool kids stayed behind............. Good to meet you and catch up with Sam again (its been awhile). Going away for work all the time makes it hard to catch up with the events for SAUSA (When's the club starting? Time to get cams affiliation and get on the TRACK again!!!!) <update - stopped being a snob and added my Name to my personal info.....>
  22. Good to come out and put a couple of faces to usernames :-) Ben, Pete, Kellie - nice to meet you guys (how nice is that bike!!!!!) Circumstances prevented me from cruising far - but hope you guys had a trouble free run. Andrew
  23. Any chance someone can bring along SAU stickers to purchase?
  24. My beast also lives again after having open heart surgery - a pm please and I might bring her out to socialise :-)
