Damn it guys - removed the 'GTR' brakes to fit the AP racing ones - thought to myself they don't look like GTR brakes - measured em at 280mm rotors and caliper with ribs on the top confirms I HAVE GTST brakes on my GTR (had!) So unfortunately no GTR brakes for sale - however $150 for the GTST ones!!!!!! ARRRRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

  9. Hey all, Trying to find a 60mm white faced oil pressure gauge from the defi link type I series (the one with the vertical orientated control box). Mine was damaged beyond repair when the wharfies decided they wanted it more than me! I need the gauge and the short link wire (around 6inch long I think. Thanks, Blue32
  10. Got an R34 GTR with the Blitz DSBC and I feel the boost response is a little slow with the controller on. ATM it has the gain setting of 15 and ratio of 45 for around 0.9 bar. I have owned R32 gtst's with both the rb20DET and RB25DET in it and the boost response as the turbo went through say 0.3-0.4 bar was always rapid up to the set limit of around 1.0 bar. Is this a common trait of the RB26 / R34 RB26 or is my gain setting way to low? Thanks in Advance, Andrew
  11. Received mine a week or so ago - all good and fits well. Finally - a clutch that is easy to bleed and has some decent feedback through the pedal - impressed!

  13. I've got one in gun metal if you can't find any others. Also i have the driving lights that fit in the bar.
  14. The problem with speedo cables is having bends where the cable lies which are too sharp - it causes whip (which after a while will present itself as the needle 'boogie' as described above up to 20km/h. BTW It will gradually get worse until the cable snaps.) There are a few ways to rectify this: 1. Rerun your cable with minimal bends and the largest radius on those bends which you need. 2. Remove the inner cable and grease it up as much as you can. Use bearing grease and run the inner through the grease packing as much as possible onto the cable / into the inside of the outer cable as you can. This will act not only to lubricate but it will also dampen the cable whip which should reduce the amount of funky needle bounce at low speed. 3. Find your nearest cable manufacturer (ie Gaugeworks in SA) who can build you a new inner cable - should cost approx $70 if you remove and install your speedo cable or around $140 if you give them the car - drive in drive out. Good luck with you cables peoples!!!!!
  15. Try changing your oil pressure sender. It is usually the sender that breaks and gives erroneous readings on your gauge. I've changed 6 oil pressure senders for every gauge I've repaired from being u/s. Hope that helps!

  20. gtrGhosTDoGG11: It would put a little more strain on the pump - however the pressure required to pump oil through the oil filter is far greater than that to pump it unrestricted around the 3/8th lines and the oil cooler. Converting kpa of your gauge to PSI (perhaps a more common pressure measurement you multiply by 0.145 My car runs around 370kpa at cruise revs, therefore around 54psi - plenty of pressure to pump around the cooler etc) In a nutshell it won't pose a problem to your oil pump - the benefits of cooler oil temps therefore better oil viscosity far outweigh the very slight load increase requirements on your oil pump. LOL - I just reread what I wrote - hope you get what I'm saying!
