Have had BOTH setups on my 400+ rwkw GTR and noticed no difference to the running of the engine. Initially set it up with the PCV vacuum port (PCV removed) and a tee to run to each of the MAP sensors. Then once I removed the inlet manifold to run a phenolic gasket I drilled and tapped the fittings in as per the Apexi instructions. Wasn't difficult to do, but I have not noticed a difference in the running of the engine (I datalog everything in the car using Datalogit at the track) so I don't really understand why you wouldn't just install via the far easier T-piece method?

Oil change a week or so before is fine. Its the old oil that isn't great for your engine when it is under stress. The older the oil, the quicker it breaks down and then literally loses its lubricating properties. After a track day is a very good idea too - and if you think about it $70 - $100 to do them both is far cheaper than an engine rebuild.....

Hmm exactly 160 psi in each cylinder on the comp test = lie. They always have a small amount of difference between the cylinders. If it is that good, and its genuinely cheap because he needs cash, why isn't it sold?? Buyer beware comes to mind.....
