Fs: R33 Gts-t Suspensions For Sale
shoebox replied to shoebox's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Update: If no one takes them soon, I'm going to dump them as my landlady is complaining about the space it takes (she's a %$#@^#!) -
I have no idea about R32s, but when the workshop i go to dropped a NEO into my R33, the wiring was apparently a pain in the ass and the crank angle sensor was different. Can't remember anymore details other than this..
-
I scraped it along a kerb while turning and it appears to be cracked and a little bent. There is a slight noise of door scraping against side skirt when I close the door now. Does anyone know of a body repair shop in Brisbane where I can get my side skirt fixed? Also, is it possible to repair it or is it cheaper to source for another side skirt of the same color and just replace it? How much would it cost normally?

Auto R33 Series2 Gtst Owners
shoebox replied to R-SPEC's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yup, that's how i feel. However, some do prefer autos for drags because of the consistent lap times they can get. Personally, i do too. It's just up to personal preference. -
IMHO, they're too heavy and unwieldy for serious drifting. The S13/S14/S15/FD3S are much better for such purposes. But other than that, Skylines are great ^_^

Yes, I'm happy with mine. What do you mean by... what're they like? It's fun to drive an auto... simply because: 1) You don't need to %(@&%@ clutch control at every traffic light on a slope 2) You can parallel park easily on a slope 3) Touch your girlfriend while driving 4) You can just release the brake and apply it again when the darn car in front keeps inching forward a few centimeters every few seconds at the lights 4) Not worry about shifting gears in launches 5) Get consistent times Sometimes i want a manual simply because: 1) I want to control the shifting for controllability, predictability and the sound from the engine rev and BOV 2) The darn auto only has 4 gears. When you're cruising at around 100km/h, the engine rpm will be about 2500 to 3000, which is not exactly fuel saving and the sound is deafening sometimes The only bad thing about auto for me so far is... 1) Gear shifts are slower than manual 2) You can't put an aftermarket ECU and you have to rely on piggyback systems, which is no longer an issue ever sine Apexi phased out their PowerFC and introduced the P-NBC as its successor, which is too late as i had already installed the AFC Neo. *sigh* -
Fs: R33 Gts-t Suspensions For Sale

There has been no response from aussiboir33gts, so the suspensions are still available. PM or call 0433 936 433 if you're interested. -
Go to http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce7.html for more details. ^_^ Looking at the 3 links, it would be a choice between the 7900GS and the 7950GT. The 7950 is faster, but the 7900 has more memory. I would choose the 7950 actually because it is a more balanced card (sufficient memory and more computational power), which should let you have a pretty good gaming experience for the next 2 years. However, the 7900 has more memory, so it'll have a longer lifespan provided that you don't mind laggy games when the time comes. Games at this point in time usually don't take up so much memory as to justify having 512mb video memory cards. Just for kicks, you can try looking at the GeForce 8 series, but they're top of the range, so I would expect them to be much more expensive until the next generation is released.
-
As a researcher in the graphics hardware field, I would strongly recommend you to purchase a video card with an NVIDIA chipset as there is more R&D and potential in their products as of late. The GeForce 7 series is a pretty good range. I'm not sure about prices, but the 7600 series looks seriously weak. Have you checked the prices for the 7800 or 7900 series? I would imagine the 7950 being out of your price range, so we're leaving it out. The difference is the amount of processing power those two cards have. The [email protected] variant would be able to compute slightly faster than the cheaper version.

I'm not sure, i wish i knew. No sign of any brand on them, but i'll try looking harder later. I'm pretty sure they aren't some dodgy china or taiwanese brand though. I would think they are stock but stock suspensions aren't damper adjustable, are they? -
I have a set of R33 GTS-T suspensions available for sale in Brisbane. I'm not sure if they are stock or not, but they came with the car when I bought it, and they are damper adjustable but not height adjustable. They're harder than my current Teins. Price: I don't really care because it's just taking up space. The market price appears to be between $50 and $150, so just make a reasonable offer and I'll consider. Reason for selling: Upgraded to Tein coilovers. In my opinion, it is in pretty good condition when it was still on my car. Took them out at about 85,000kms. I prefer pick-up, but if you live interstate or if it is inconvenient, freight can be arranged at your own expense (and preferably picked up from my doorstep). Contact me at 0433 936 433 or PM. Picture of suspensions: My car looked like this when these were still on: Sorry for the low quality picture, but it's the only one I can find. It's packed nicely and ready to go. Update: Sold. Thanks everyone for the interest.

Okay, thanks! I won't be packing any octane booster then ^_^
-
I'm might be driving down from Brisbane to Melbourne in July. This thread is really useful! But I'm wondering, is it easy to obtain 98 octane fuel along the way? Occasionally while driving along the highway, I see big pieces of tyres lying on the road as well. What would cause such things to happen?

The stealth wing looks pretty good, actually. But I wonder how the japanese managed to get his boot to be flush with the body..?
-
Hmm. After seeing the cusco wings, i'm really split on whether i should keep my original spoiler or change it to something like that. IMHO, it spoils the R33's image as the car is too big and not.. agile enough? Drift spoilers like these are meant for smaller cars like the FD3S and S13/S14/S15. I'll rather keep a low profile like now rather than attract cops too. There isn't much difference in terms of performance between the R33 S2 spoiler and something like that, right? E.g. in aerodynamics.
-
I'm thinking of getting a spoiler which looks like this and fitted on my R33: Does anyone know of a place in Brisbane where: 1) I can buy something like that 2) I can get it fitted? I still have my original spoiler on, so I'll need to remove that too. Got tired of how my car looks like almost every other R33 and decided to do something about it. ^_^
-
Too bad they don't have these on Australian roads. *sigh* R32 R33 R34 R34 vs R34 taken off magazine. Is it my imagination, or is that police R34 a GTR?
-
thanks for the heads up, much appreciated ^_^
-
Yea.. but i heard Wellington Point is absolutely stunning in the day!
-
I live at the south side of Brisbane, so there's no local beach, sadly.
-
I agree! But i find mt. cootha better, as there's a restaurant there.
-
I agree with southbank too; it's really beautiful! I had no idea Mt Gravatt is that dangerous though. Will avoid that next time ^_^ I haven't been to redcliffe nor wynnum though. Is it safe at night?
-
Are there any beautiful spots in Brisbane where people can hang out or stroll around in the evening? My girlfriend and I are normally only free after the sun goes down, but there doesn't really seem to be many places we can go. Are there any other attractive places other than the ones listed below: 1) Mt. Cootha 2) City Botanic Gardens 3) Mt. Gravatt 4) Roma Street Parklands 5) Natural Bridge Preferably scenic spots, as we're kind of bored of clubbing already..
