The area i live in has the occasional P plater (and the occasional open license idiot) who tailgates me and tries to incite me into a race. Most of the time they're so close, I can't even see their headlights from my rear view window. Sometimes I'm so tempted to slam on the brakes and see how they pay for the damage they'll do to my car and theirs. It's these immature pricks who think that they have to race every Skyline or Supra they see which spoils the reputation of Australian drivers. Having said that, the next person who tries to sniff my exhaust when I'm already keeping to the left like any sane driver will kiss my vehicle's butt.

Automatic Transmission Shift Kit. - Updated Oct 2006
shoebox replied to 4door_Sleeper's topic in Group Buys
Ah..! I see. Thanks a lot ^_^ -
It's really tempting to get a turbo car, but the handling of turbo cars are extremely different than NA cars. I've driven many types of cars, and I'll dare say that an NA V8 engine with more rwkw handles easier than one with a turbo as an NA does not have a turbo which "kicks in" (obviously). It's not about power, but about consistency and predictability in power output, which is really important in built-up areas and bad weather conditions (e.g. wet roads). But whatever. If you plan on getting one, just don't say no one warned you if you get into an accident.

Sounds exciting! But i don't have any tools, and the landlord of the place I'm renting is a clean freak, so i'll need to find a workshop or someone to do it for me. Anyone wants to help me out (i'll pay, of course), or knows of a good place to get it done? -

Anyone in brisbane has done this before? I'm really interested in getting this shift kit but I just don't know where and how to get it done... How do we ship the old valve body assembly back anyway? Can we just take it to the post office...? -
Only fuel, unfortunately.

^_^ okay, thanks! i'll try it out.

Hi guys, My battery went flat recently but I managed to jumpstart the car, and it's running now. I have an AFC NEO, RSM and Greddy boost controller fitted, and everything seemed fine, but a few days ago I discovered that the speed cap (which was already removed via some settings on the RSM) is back on again! The settings on the boost controller are still there, but I'm kind of worried about my AFC. Do I need to retune it again (does it lose its settings when the power is cut)? Also, does anyone know how to remove the speed cut on the RSM? I don't want to go onto a track only to find that I'm capped again =_=

It really depends on what type of car you want, and the stuff you're looking to do with it. IMHO, S15s have better handling and better fuel economy, but R34s are more comfortable. For track days, if you're looking to pick up drifting, the S15 is an excellent car for that. Why not test drive both cars and see which you prefer?

One night!?! That's a bit tight, but here's a list of tourist hotspots you might want to check out: Culture: Imperial Palace Ueno Park Tokyo National Museum The Sensoji temple in Asakusa Imperial Gardens in Shinjuku Shopping Shinjuku, Ginza and Akihabara, depending on how much money you have, and what you want to get. I don't think you can visit all of them, but rest assured that the shops close very late there, so you can still do a lot at night.

Neo6 Or Series2 Into R32
shoebox replied to entelijint's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Assuming that the Neo6 is the RB25DET NEO, you will also need: 5) Crank angle sensor I have read somewhere on another forum that due to limitations with something in the RB25DET NEO, it is difficult to obtain more than 280kw without a rebuild, but i can't confirm this. BTW, you can always buy that cover off somewhere if you're just after the look ^_^ -
No idea. That side is still like 1/3 a cm higher than the other.. but it still opens, so i'm not really concerned about it. It doesn't look like rain will go in too, so it's okay. I thought something was stuck too, until today.

Got my car back from the locksmith today. They fixed my lock and got it open! Turned out that the cable is loose or something. Now i gotta send it back to the mechanic to fix it.
-
lol i wish it'll just open with a kick or something! Yea, i tried holding down the button while pushing on the boot; it's still not opening..

From my experience, petitions are useless; blowing it up to the media is much more effective. But yea, i do feel that the crime rate in qld is increasing too. Not just on cars, but property too. My friend's apartment got broken into a few weeks back, and the cops didn't even go over to check for fingerprints!
-
Yea, you missed it ^_^ The key doesn't fit the lock, so i can't use it.

No, both battles are downhill, which evens out the fd3s' power disadvantage to the godzilla. R34s are good for their power and performance, but on a course with lots of sharp cornering involved, it won't have much space to do anything. As Andy has said, both are excellent cars with great track records with their own strengths; an fd3s will dominate on some tracks, and an r34 on others, given equally skilled drivers.

Anyone knows of some great games for 2+ players? My housemates and i are bored to death! We're now stuck with playing NFS: Carbon, GT4, Tekken and Worms, and it's getting boring; is there anything out there with a storyline but allows for multiplayer gaming (like the good old days of Golden Axe)?
-
This course has another advantage for the fd3s: it is a downhill race.

Doesn't work I got someone to hold the lever up while i pressed down on the lifted side.. the car went down but the boot didn't, and it's still stuck. Maybe i should get a locksmith to open it...
-
The boot on my R33 is jammed shut. The boot release lever at the side of the driver's seat doesn't have the normal pressure when i pull it, and although i hear a faint sound when i press the boot release button on my alarm system, the boot doesn't unlock. I've tried pulling up the boot with the lever up but it doesn't work.. i suspect it's the locking mechanism or boot which is jammed or something.. and it probably happened a few days ago when my friend slammed the boot shut =_= It's kinda hard to describe, but the left hand side of the boot is slightly open, but the right hand side of the boot is closed (I an tell by looking at the gap between the body and the boot), so the boot is actually closed at a slight angle. The lock on the boot is broken too, so I can't use the key to open it. Is there any way which I can get it to open again? I've thought of removing the back seats to access the lock from the inside, but how do I do that, and will it help?

Keichi Tsuchiya (driver of the R34) is actually a very famous driver in japan with a nickname of "drift king" (forget need for speed, this is the real deal). This may be bad to say in a skyline forum (i'm an r33 owner myself!), but let's face it: in a race like this, it's not the power of a car which wins a race, but the handling and balance, and the FD3S has a proven track record of that.
-
The FD3S is probably one of the greatest drift cars ever built. R34s are great on drag strips but when cornering comes into play, the fd3s wins hands down... I can't wait to see how the new gtr will be like!
-
I agree! I'll probably switch to Caltex or BP to compare after i finish this tank. I was expecting more like 11 or 12 litres per 100km...
