Hi guys ... Trying to chase down a short shifter to suite the R34 GTR .. does anyone know what company / who makes it and the model number for the item? Im also after the weather shields / visors to suite (is r34 gtt 2 door the same?) I require the model number from nissan for this .. does anyone know it? Cheers

But can stock BOVs handle 340ish awkw? wouldnt it leak under that kind of power? LOL my apologies typo! -
I have been told by my fabricator / tuner that in all likely hood, a twin 2860 -5 will probably surge ... Application is bolt straight up to standard engine and standard manifold, aftermarket exhaust, injectors and all the small supporting mods ... 20psi ~ 340ish awkw. Reasoning - both turbos will be pushing large amounts of air ... in doing so, they will fight against each other and surge / cause the boooof boooof boooof air pressure noise .... and the turbos will shiet themselves eventually... Basically, any twin setup size that is 2860 -5 size onwards, will have this problem on a standard manifold/application... Does any1 have any experience with this? Does it sound right at all?

Hi guys .... need some info, input, graphs if possible on the following question ... Tried to search up some info ... found stacks of gt2860 -5 threads .. not many gt2871r threads ... Base - 1 - R34 rb26dett engine standard internals 2 - poncams stage 1, 800cc injectors, 044 fuel pump, fpr, aftermarket exhaust, boost controller, aftermarket ecu, twin plate clutch 3 - R34 standard fmic, R34 standard oil + water pumps Which 1 - 1 - Garrett GT2860 -5 aka gt2530 2 - Garret GT2871R aka gtrs Which turbo would you choose and why ... from what i have gathered so far - 1 - gt2860 - 5 is responsive and makes about 350awkw on a stock rb26dett motor with supporting mods .. however the power is linear, so doesn't feel as though its moving as fast as it really is in conjunction with the weight of an r34, and feels as though its not pushing real hard towards the red line ... 2 - gt2871r is a little bit less responsive, however makes an easy comfortable 370awkw with a lot more potential however its not soo good to push a healthy stock rb26dett engine too much past this power level, otherwise you can kiss the motor goodbye in the near future .. Power is more aggressive and you can feel it .. and pulls effortless all the way to redline .. - What is the max healthy power figure and boost figure that an unopened r34 gtr motor can handle without much issues? - Roughly what rpms do each turbo make full boost by [about 20psi] - Does any1 have graphs of a gt2860 -5 vs gt2871r on unopened rb26dett motors? So yeah .. basically which turbo is better and why ... comparisons .. pros and cons .. do's and dont's Cheers

Hi guys ... ive noticed that a lot of r34s non vspec and vspec have a "tv" button located close to the mdf ... however i have a vspec 2 and the "tv" button is actually on the audio unit itself (single din) from factory Just wondering if some1 knows where i can find the wiring diagram for the mdf or if they have one? This "tv" button allows you to switch btw the monitoring / gauges function to dvd/tv function ... I am assuming my vspec 2 is a tad bit different in regards to this "tv" button? Cheers

285/35/19 + R34 Gtr Scrub?

Hi guys, i want to lower my r34 gtr as low as possible without scrapping the lip or nismo skirts/rear pods - So i want to run the biggest tyre size possible to raise it up before lowering it so that the distance between the guard and tyre is less, if not tucked. Im running 19x10 +15 offset rims ... will 285/35 have any scrubbing issues at the front? I know a lot of people run 275/30 and a handful of people run 285/30 ... but i just want to get a second opinion on whether or not these size tyres will scrub regardless of what everyone else runs, speedo calibrations etc. Thanks for the help cheers -
If its an oldish tracking/gps alarm, then there is nothing you can do ... Version 3 backwards quicktrack tend to drain the battery within a week or two ... not 2 days ... Version 4 quicktrack onwards is good with battery power ... Even still, tracking alarm or not, it should take more than 2 days to drain the battery ... are there any interior/boot lights that may be on when closing door or the door/boot closure sensor/button may be stuffed? Do you have a big audio setup or tend to use a lot of ampage from the battery whilst driving the car? Might be an alternator issues whereby its not charging the battery fast enuf as you are expending the power ... Or if you just wired up an electrical gizzmo like audio, might be draining the battery from that - incorrect wiring not turning off when ignition is off? And lastly, if all of the above is fine, change batteries to an extra heavy duty Century battery .. ive had battery issues before with a few cars, changed to century - never looked back =D

Would you happen to know how your JVC deck is hooked up to your MFD? Do you still have your standard deck or did u get rid of it? Would you happen to also know if the functions/menus accessable from the standard unit is accessible via the buttons underneath the MFD? Just need to know how the MFD interface is suppose to interact with an aftermarket deck ... Cheers

Yeap, the pads have plenty of meat left ... so it def isnt the indicator Mechanic has checked out the discs and they seem fine ... he said its most likely the pads ... n that even if i was to change to say Endless CC-A (top street level pads / entry level performanec pads) [both my mechanic and i have used them on our s15s with no noise issues], there will be a chance that they will still screech but perhaps just not as bad... was hoping maybe some1 on here might have experience or seen or heard of solutions or brake combos that are not annoying? i notice that cars equipped with brembos, tend to squeek .. for eg other gtrs, evos etc ... however mine are just beyond embarassing lol And YES PLEASE SIR! can you post the link? cheers! Mmm im not too keen on bendix ... however let me know how you go!

ive had other race spec pads previously on my s15, and i had no issues with squeeling at all ... however i notice with most brembo equipped cars like r34 gtr, evos etc, they tend to squeek ... but mine is just beyond annoying lol anyone have/heard of non-stock pads on the brembo equipped gtr with stock rotors and no/minimal squeeling?

Hi guys, just have 2 concerns about my car that i just purchased. It has project mu type HC plus pads working in conjunction with the factory brembos and rotors. From this, i get a very very annoying loud screech when braking .. its just embarassing ... They are carbon metal (Asbestos free) construction and designed for sports and street driving .... is there any reason as to why the heck they screech so badly? Is it because the pads are too harsh? Does screeching occur with aftermarket brake pads? Im considering replacing the pads to whatever else that some1 can recommend that wont screech but isnt standard ... perhaps endless cc-a? Or would i just get the same problem? Or should i just change the rotors to something like slotted dba? Or will there still be screeching? Im just basically looking for the cheapest option to get rid of this embarassing screech ... Secondly, it came with the top of the line premium audio sound equipment ... R34 Gtr Vspec 2 Premium Sound Audio Equipment

Hi guys, i have a 3" Impul catback exhaust system off my r34 gtr for sale - will most likely bolt straight up to a 2 door r34, and with small modifcations, can be made to fit r33. It is nice and subtle on idle, and has a nice mean tone to it when you give it. On hwy cruising, it is not loud or droney either, just a nice soft rumble that is not annoying at all - perfect application for those who do not like annoying loud/droney exhaust systems. It is in perfect condition with no dents, dings or scratches - just dirty Any inspection is more than welcome, and first hand listening/testing can be arranged for this coming week as i will be removing it shortly. Im after just $500 for it. Pick up can be arranged from Fairfield East, Sydney. Interstate buyers - it is prefered that you organise courier (i will have it boxed up ready to go), otherwise as a last resort, i may post it out to you @ your cost. Pics: Video:
