My R34 always had a reasonably loud ticking noise from the head which wasn't the injectors, never gave me any problems! Maybe you are worrying about nothing and should leave it as is. Oil won't have any impact in this application as they are solid lifters.

Yes it's a real bitch of a job. I haven't done it before but the guy who built my Neo head wouldn't stop going on about how long it took him to get it to the right clearance to suit my cams. Although he may have been just saying that to charge me more labour!

Can you take a picture of how far it protrudes above the deck and post it on here?

No....... Did you use assembly lube or oil on bearing journals etc? Did you check clearances and reshim as required?

Yep I can't wait Getting close now. I am hoping the WMI will give similar results to E85 as the boost ramps up, but obviously I won't get the results across the rev range Stupid WA and our lack of pump E85

I bought the Snow Performance "stage 3" kit. It includes a controller than looks at boost and injector duty cycle and allows progressive injection based on either / both. It includes an in-cabin controller with LCD screen / buttons. I did look at the CoolingMist system too. I will be running 50/50 water/methanol. I have got a 2.5 gallon tank which should last for months of street use, and should be sufficient for many laps on the track (but you can really chew through it on the track). I'm going to buy the "SafeInjection" module too which monitors flow and detects lack of flow (blockage) or too much flow (leak). It has an output which I will use to trigger my ECU into a safe and conservative map. I haven't installed it yet as part of my ongoing R34 build, but will be doing so in the new few weeks. I am running a GTX3071R so I am hoping to run some very high boost through it to get the most out of it, as Mick_o did Cheers Justin

Yep exhaust side only. I pulled out my engine and looked in the empty engine bay and thought I had lost one of them somehow. Spent ages looking for it only to discover there is only the one!

Where do people find core / welsh plugs to suit a RB25DET Neo block? Are complete kits available like for other cars, or will I just have to measure them all up and obtain the individually? Cheers Justin

I will be putting this to the test soon. I am building an R34 at the moment with an ARC turn flow intercooler. Hoping for north of 300rwkw's.

I have been wondering where to mount my oil cooler and I was thinking the passenger side in front of the wheel would be ideal (R34 with SMIC removed so it's the perfect spot), but I was worried about the length of the oil lines to and from the oil cooler. So there is definetly no problem running oil lines that long?

That's why I reused my old N1 pump. I opened it up and checked everything and and everything looked good and the tolerances were all in spec so why not reuse it. I added the crank collar though.
