  1. http://gcg.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=143&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=436&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53 Is it worth using something like this when installing a brand new turbo, or is it just a waste of money? What is the best way to ensure there is enough lubrication for the turbo's bearings in its first few seconds of life? Thanks!!
  2. I have a brand new, unopened (still sealed in bag), Bosch 040 fuel pump. I was going to use it for a project but now don't need it. 3. Hi - Do you still have the Neo VRS kit? Is it still sealed in original packaging? I may need one soon.

    Cheers

  4. Thank you for the response I think I will run one of these with the standard wiring then. Sounds like it will be fine for my Deatchwerks 600cc injectors and for the power I am chasing.
  5. A couple of quick questions regarding these drop in fuel pumps: 1) Is it recommended to rewire these to supply 13.8V like the Bosch 040's or are they truely plug and play? 2) Would this pump comfortably support circa 300rwkw with supporting mods? Any info much appreciated - thanks!!! Justin
  6. Engine spec as follows: RB25DET Neo PFC and PFC boost controller Full exhaust ARC intercooler 040 fuel pump Z32 AFM Cooling-Pro triple core alloy radiator I still need to buy injectors. I'm unsure whether I will get the Deatchworks or the Bosch EV14 ones. Head will be cleaned up and checked. Unsure if I will rebuild the rest of the motor at this point, not sure if it needs it (head is already off so difficult to test, but it looks OK). I will be replacing the water pump while its out - toying with the idea of trying an electric setup. Would also put an oil cooler in if I try that.
  7. Could someone please confirm that the R34 RB25DET (Neo version) uses the same rods as the GTR? And therefore if you were rebuilding that engine with forged pistions that you could fairly safetly get away with using the stock rods if were never going to go for much more that 300rwkw? Obvioulsy would change rod bolts though. Thanks
  8. I just ordered a GTX3071R kit from Kudos Motorsports! I should have it in a week or so!!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif
  9. I have one (BOS importing) that I will need to sell, but it's for a 4 door - not sure if they are the same as the 2 door versions. It has served me very well but I need to replace it as I am changing turbo's.
  10. This is awesome news, i was just about to buy a new turbo. Thankfully I have been putting it off! Plus i could not decide whether to get a 3071 or a 3076.... Now I will get get the GTX3071R for sure

    E85

Doesnt it cost about $2.50 a litre when you buy it that though, compared to about $1 at the pump? If it was price comparable i would consider it!!

    E85

.....cries Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

    E85

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything new in regards to the likelyhood / timeframe that Perth may get E85 being sold at the pump? My build will be complete in a few months and I would love to ge it tuned for E85. I'm not holding my breath however
  14. Get the Blitz. Its not much more money anyway. I have an ARC turnflow on my R34 and Im glad i spent the extra money. Just the fact everything fit so nicely made it worth it. My friend brought some dodgy china kit for his and nothing lined up properly.
  15. My friends R33 GTR recently made 400rwkw, and apparently made 1800NM hahah. I would take the torque figure with a grain of salt.
  16. From memory when I brought it, I am pretty sure they are different as he had the different options. In fact I cant remember if the 4 door and 2 door versions of the R34 version are different either (I have a 4 door).
  17. haha I was just trying to find out if this guy still exists also. I have one which I want to sell, but unfortunately it is an R34 version. I have found it to be a great split front / dump pipe, but need to get rid of it as the new turbo I will be buying comes with a dump pipe. Now I need to find a nice stainless front pipe from somewhere.
  18. OK, will do, thanks
  19. Thanks for the answers, much appreciated! I will get the OEM water pump then. Only trouble it is double the price at about $260! One more question hopefully someone wouldn't mind anwering..... I currently have the head off on my RB25DET Neo. Do I really need a new set of head bolts when putting it back together? And if so should i definately replace them with ARP studs and bolts instead (going for about 270-280rwkw). Will using the studs mean I dont need to replace them next time if I need to pull the head off again? And does using studs mean I may have clearance issues if I needed to pull the head off again in the future when the rest of the engine is still in the car? The engine sits quite close to the firewall, it looks like if you were to pull the head upwards to clear the studs it might hit something making it difficult to get out. That was kinda more than one question...
  20. 1) Will a Bosch 040 intank fuel pump flow enough fuel (with 600cc injectors) to run e85 in an R34 GTT that makes would make about 270-280rwkw on 98 fuel? 2) Would you trust this water pump on the above car - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Skyline-R33-R34-GTR...=item3a5e15906a - or should I get a genuine nissan item. Does the R34 GTT really use exactly the same waterpump that the R33 GTST does? I seem to remember there was one less or one more bolt or something. 3) Do thermostats wear out at all? Should I just replace it while I have the engine out. The engine has done just over 100,000 kms. Thanks!!
  21. Do you think you will ever get a 34 neo version? If so I might be interested!
  22. Is this still for sale? What injectors does it have it?
  23. My engine died in my R34 GTT a while back and it has been sitting in my garage for too long. The plan was my dad and I would pull it out and rebuild it. Could someone please recommend some good engine builders in Perth? I would like to at least have a talk to someone with lots of knowledge on these engines before we begin. Part of me cant be bothered and I am thinking of paying someone to do it. Also, would anyone recommend I stick a RB30 bottom end on it? How much higher up would the engine be? Current engine modifications are PowerFC and PowerFC boost controller, split dump pipe, high flow cat and 3" exhaust, and ARC front mount IC.
  24. Haven't checked the oil or looked at the water properly yet, it happened late last night in a area with bugger all lighting, by the time I had finished towing it home all I wanted to do was go to sleep I will get started on it this weekend.
