Best thing to do is remove the coil packs and coat them in high temp silicon, that will fix them if thats the problem, dont think the earth wire matters at all.

Ok stand corrected didnt see the stalling issues, def the q45 afm or injector latency check it

Sounds like coil packs, replace them, they tend to miss on higher boost if they are on the way out and will only get worse. Missing or hitting the rev limiter causes the power fc to read high knock so should be an easy fix
